Chapter 11
The next day, another new day. Althea woke up with a heavy face. Her vision was blurry. She stared at the maid who woke her up from her peaceful sleep. She was having a dream of her and Xavier kissing each other. They were in a hot romance. She couldn't see to the end of the dream as the maid had to wake her up from her deep slumber.
The maid interrupted her sleep. She let out a yawn and stretched out her body. She rubbed her eyes and stared at the sun which pierced into her eyes through the curtain. She forgot about Xavier and slept off, thinking he would return. She looked at the left side of the bed with the hope of seeing Xavier but to her greatest disappointment, she couldn't find him in the room. She couldn't help but feel disappointed.
Though she wasn't expecting him to be in the room with her because he is a workaholic and he doesn't have any interest in her. Where could he have gone after the wedding? She couldn't help the question anymore. The question was draining her and burning her, and she wants to let it out.
She looked up at the maid, staring at her eyeball to eyeball. She cleared her throat and lifted her body from the bed, she lay her back on the wall behind the bed. She stared at the maid who bowed her head with a smile on her lips.
"Good morning, my lady. How is your night ma'am?" she asked, politely. She was dressed in a black top and skirt which fitted the attire of a maid. It suits her perfectly, bringing out her breast and her thigh.
"Morning. My night was fine and yours? I want to ask a question from you," she said, and the maid stared at her with a confused and questioning look.
"What could it be, my Lady? Just ask I'm always at your service to make you comfortable," the maid said, and Althea nodded her head. She just needs to ask after Xavier. She is worried about him. Even though she doesn't know why she is worried about him since he doesn't show care or interest in her. What do you have to do to make him stay with me? She couldn't help but think about it. She ruffled her hair softly and rested my head on a pillow.
"It is concerning my husband, Xavier. Where is he? I can't find him in the wedding ceremony at the hall after he went away with his dad, Mr Andrew" she said, and the maid shook her head with a sigh. Xavier doesn't stay at home. It was visible in the face of the maid. She heaved out a sigh.
"Did he return e night? Where is he?" She asked the maid, who flashed a smile at her.
"My lady, the master, went on a business trip and will be back tomorrow, the next day," the maid said, and Althea gritted her teeth angrily, clenching the duvet with an angry look on her face.
"Did he return last night?"Althea asked, even though she knew the question wasn't going to be a positive answer.
"He didn't come home last night, my Lady.'' the maid said and she clenched her fist very angry. She was really surprised that even though he doesn't show interest in her, it doesn't mean that She doesn't know why she is angry. She is angry that he doesn't stay with her that night. They are not in love with each other but courtesy demands that he stays with her even if he is not interested in her anyway. They were not any win ay in love with each other but Xavier was supposed to postpone or call off whatever business trip he had the next day. She couldn't help but feel humiliated.
"Are you okay, my Lady?" the maid who had noticed her sad and angry mood said. Althea nodded her head softly and stood up from the bed.
"I'm fine," she said, and the maid nodded her head affirmatively.
"I'm glad that you are fine, my Lady. Let me dress you up," the maid said and pulled off Althea's clothes.
She had prepared the bath for Althea. Althea walked into the bathroom and had a bath which took almost an hour. She walked out of the bathroom with a white towel around her chest and waist. She pulled it off and picked up the panties and bra the maid had selected for her. She couldn't help but wonder what life is like. She hasn't been used to this style of life. She hasn't been treated like a Queen. She put on a white ball gown and sat down on a wooden chair in front of the dressing table.
The maid appeared behind Althea and picked up a comb on the table. She combed through her hair properly and packed it in a style which looks good on her.
"Do you love this, my lady?" the maid asked, staring at Althea through the transparent mirror.
Althea stared at her beautiful reflection in the mirror she wondered if she was the one. A bright smile broke out on her lips.
"I love it," she said, and the maid nodded with a smile.
Having done with her hairstyle, the maid picked up her make-up tools list. She bought out some materials needed. She applied it on Althea which makes her exceptionally hot and beautiful. It seems the makeup enhanced the real beauty that was hidden in her out.
"Would you love to have lipstick?" The maid asked, and she shook her head negatively.
"No this is fine," she said, and the maid nodded her head and closed the make-up tools kit. She stood up from the chair and checked out herself once again. She was exceptionally beautiful in the dress she was in. It seemed her hidden perfect curves and shapes were visible.
"Your breakfast is ready, my Lady," the maid said, and she nodded her head slowly. Her bright mood changed as something came to her mind.
Who is dressing for? She couldn't help but question herself. Since her husband doesn't for once look at her or notice her. It made her sad. The only time he had given her his time was yesterday in the Costello hall.
"Okay take me to the dining room," Althea said, and the maid nodded her head affirmatively.
"Okay, my lady. If you need any help just hit the headline I would be at your service" the maid said, and walked up to the door.
Getting to the beautiful structure of the dining room, she stared around the dining room with a glimpse of amazement. She stared at the food of different delicacies placed on the table. The maid walked to the table to dish out the food for her.
"Don't worry I will do it. You can take your leave," Althea said, and the maid nodded her head and walked out of the dining room. There wasn't anyone in the dining room, she would have to eat breakfast alone. This is bad for a start. She hasn't been married to Xavier for more than a day and she is experiencing this. She wondered how her entire life would be in this place.
She realized that her father-in-law doesn't live in the mansion. He has another house on the outskirts, he just came by to spend time with his son and prepare for the wedding. He had returned to continue his business.
She drew a chair out and sat down on the chair. She felt lonely but she would be grateful that she was used to being lonely in her Aunt's house. She drew some of the plates of food to her closer. She opened it and dropped it gently on the glass dining table. She sniffed in the mouth-watering aroma of the food which hit her nose. She was amazed by the swarm of foods in her front. She hasn't had an experience with expensive food before her before. She dish out some food on a plate and took the cutleries. She eats on the food and within so few minutes she was done. She drink a large quantity of orange voice which tasted so sweet in her mouth. She cleaned her lips with the napkins and stood up from the chair.
Since she was bored and there was no one in it. She decides to give herself a tour around the house even though she knew how magnificent and mighty the house was. She doesn't care if she misses.
Nobody cares and her husband who is supposed to care never shows love to her. She walked out of the dining room to different rooms in the mansion that she had almost lost. She looked up with excitement as she stood in front of a library. She squealed out happily. She loves reading and how empty the house is, the book could come in handy. She walked into the library and picked up a book in the library. She begins to read it, flipping to the next chapter. Every page and chapter of the book keeps her on a cliffhanger.
