Chapter 28

Xavier stared at Baron with a confused face which was filled with boldness, he turned to look at Alessandro whose face is as cold as stone but he shook his head sideways telling him he is not aware of what he wanted to do. He could feel the way he talked was threatening but he was not afraid, he had made up his mind to face whatever he brings.

He was confident because he had ammunition and was fully prepared for this, he knew Baron to be a sneaky sniff and he wouldn't waste his time to kill him if he behaved anyhow.

"I don't get what you are saying," Xavier asked with a creased brow as he glared at Baron who didn't seem moved by his threat.

Baron was so confident that his ambush plan on Xavier would work, that he looked around the room where a mini camera was installed in the wall and he smirked. The mini camera could not be seen easily because it was buried in the wall. No one could spot it unless they knew where the camera was implanted.

"You will soon get to know what I mean Xavier," he said with a sinister smirk, Xavier's ears perked as he stared at Baron.

Xavier could feel the bad vibes emitting from his body and he braced himself for the worst because he was fully prepared. His face went cold as he stared at Baron who was seated in his front, Baron shifted on his chair nervously as he stared at him. He was intimidated by Xavier's attitude but he has made up his mind to make him pay for his father's sin.

"Let's get this done, I have lots of places to be. I don't have time to waste" Xavier said in a cold and arrogant voice, and Baron had to maintain his cool not to blow his cover.

Baron sighed heavily like he was making a huge decision, he snapped his hand and stood up from his chair. Xavier looked at him studying every moment making sure he didn't look suspicious, and he lowered his guard when he saw he was not making a suspicious look.

"Sir, it's an ambush," Xavier's sniper men said through the wireless earbuds which were almost invisible, and he stood up from his seat while glaring at Baron who stood unmoved. Baron didn't want to show how nervous he was in his front, he glared back at him.

"What's all this Baron?" Xavier said and Baron chuckled while staring at him with a questioning look. His face hardened as he stared at Barons.

"I still don't get you" Baron replied with a cocky smile and he glared at him. He will surely make him pay for wasting his time here when they were supposed to get the contract.

"Sir you need to get out of the place before it's too late," his sniper men said again and he sighed heavily as he stood up and tried walking away but he wasn't able to do that because of the sounds of gunshots filling the air.

Suddenly Baron flicked his hand, and the sound of gunshots riddled the air. Xavier turned back as he dodged a bullet which impaled itself into the wall by rolling on the ground. He removed his gun which was just beside his wrist and he started firing at Baron's guards. Baron joined in and started firing at Xavier's cover.

Baron sighed heavily as he noticed his men going down and that the gun they were firing was not helping matters, Xavier's men were doing a great job by killing them, they all lay motionless on the floor. Xavier and Alessandro were firing the guns at any chance they saw. Xavier brought out an explosive from his belt and he threw it toward Baron's men after uncapping the cover. Baron flew away from there before it could explode but the impact pushed him away, and he hit his body on the wall due to the impact.

He groaned angrily and he pushed one of his men who was handling the machine gun away and he took control, he started firing at them and Xavier almost got shot but he dodge it in the nick of time. Baron sighed as he stopped to reload the gun but Xavier creased that time to attack back one of his men tried shooting Xavier's head but he narrowly dodged it again.

Baron folded his hand angrily as he watched what was going on, his hand reached for his pocket, and he uncapped the head. He threw it toward Xavier and Alessandro who were hiding behind a table. Xavier's eyes widened in shock immediately he saw that knowing this pushed Alessandro away and he went the opposite way.

The explosive sent sand flying away and it caused the rise of dust, it's not easy to see clearly in the dust. Baron's men didn't see clearly but they kept firing at the air, groans filled the air as they killed themselves.

Blood could be seen flowing down the floor like a pool of ocean, fallen men could be seen from both sides, and they were mainly Baron's men on the floor but they never cared to look at them. They all know their lives were on the line when they came for the suicide mission.

Baron didn't know the table would be turned to him, he believed everything would go smoothly but he was wrong. His heart riddles with fear as he stares around the room, his heart beats loudly, and it would have been heard in the room if not for the cries of people and the sound of bullets flying from different corners. He looked around and saw most of his men dead, he wasn't expecting a change of event when he planned all this, he should have known that there were consequences behind his action.

His face became sweaty and he almost peed on his pants, he wanted to control his fear but he knew that it was either he would get killed by him or he would kill him. He knows he is not a match for Xavier but he knows it's vice versa. He knew he had nothing to do since he had caused it, he shouldn't have brought out the plan.

His face changed into a smile as he saw more men wanted the room, he had forgotten that he had planned for more men to come to their rescue, and here they are. The dust had already died down, and he had gotten a clean view of Xavier's head. He shot at his head but was angry when he saw the bullet couldn't penetrate through his skull but it penetrated his arm.

He smirked at Xavier who turned to look in the direction where he had been shot, he glared at him before getting into the cover which was a wall.

Xavier could feel immense pain as the bullet was in his skin, his hand was hot and he felt like it would burst. He groaned as he stared at his arm, he sighed heavily as he watched the blood stream down his hand. Alessandro rolled on the floor firing at Baron's men and they kept falling to the ground without missing a target. He went to where Xavier hid, and he was surprised when he saw the bullet in his hand. He tore his cloth and he used it to tie his hand to stop the bleeding and it did a little.

Xavier shot him a thankful look, and he went back to firing the billets. Soon almost all their men of Baron are dead and it's all thanks to his men who have guarded the whole place, and they took the men which Baron called for backup before they could enter. There were no men of Baron alive anymore, and he bolted away seeing that. Xavier told his men not to shoot at him using his hands. He went after him running with much agility trying to catch Baron, and he did fortunately because of his strength and agility. Baron was physically not compared to Xavier.

Xavier hovered over Baron who was seated on the floor as he panted heavily, fear was vividly written on his face as he stared at him, and he smiled in satisfaction. One would know the smile is that of wickedness since it's written on his face.

"Why do you do all that?" Xavier asked as he pointed his gun at Baron who froze at the sight, he didn't believe he would be caught up but he was because he had the foot advantage while he didn't.

"I did that because your dad cheated on me when we did business last, and I had wanted a perfect opportunity to take my revenge. Your dad cheated me by delivering what isn't complete to me, u paid for the complete drugs but your dad cheated on me. I have decided to take my revenge on you" Baron spatted as he stared at Xavier who was staring at him angrily with hot streams blowing out of his nose.

Xavier was angry because he didn't expect this turn of events but he was ready for it, he didn't know he would try ambushing him. He can't just believe he wasted his precious time by coming to the country.

He had tears stained in his eyes but I wasn't moved by him. I stared at him disdainfully and I cocked my gun and I shot him on his forehead.
