Chapter 12

Althea sleeps alone in the library at night. She doesn't sleep early though. She let out a yawn and switched on the light in the library. She uses the opportunity to read to finish up the book. It was a very interesting book, she got captured and fascinated by the keyword of the book. She loves the characters of the book, the plot, the setting, and the author was her favourite. The story is intriguing and interesting. She squealed out in victory and closed her eyes as sleep took her. She wasn't the one who gave up on a book, she must make sure she gets to the end of the book. She sleeps with the book in her hand.

She woke up with a yawn, she rubbed her hand on her eyes as the ray of the bright sun pierced directly into her eyes through the curtain. Where is she? She couldn't help but question herself. She wasn't in the library seat but on a bed sleeping peacefully like a newborn baby. She stared at her panties to confirm if she wasn't ripped, she was glad that she was intact. She let out a nervous smile at her lame thoughts.

'Where is she?' She mutters beneath her breath, staring around the room.

Finding it strange, she sat up in the king-sized bedroom and looked around the room. She couldn't help but wonder where she was. The room looks different, feels different and smells different. It looks just exactly like the room she is to share with Xavier as husband and wife. It had a golden interior design on it.

Even though the room has a lot of images which aren't irrelevant. It was mostly naked ladies or men smoking cigarettes. This shows that it was a room which belonged to a male in this house.

Who is the person? She couldn't help the question since it was only her and Xavier, her husband with the maid. The maid had their quarter so she couldn't help but wonder who took her to this room. The drapes are also open.

She was on the bed wondering with her head laid on the pillow. She had to wait for whosoever that took her to this room to come back. She was jolted out of her thoughts as she heard the slamming sound of the door. It wasn't harsh either. She looked up and opened her mouth agape as she stared at her husband Xavier who steps out of the bathroom.

A towel is wrapped low around his waist. His body was dripping wet with his hair looked messy, even though that doesn't stop him from looking hot and handsome. She couldn't help but feel uncomfortable as stared at his muscular built-in body.

He is ripped with muscles and has the body of a virile male. Althea gulped down into nothing and swallowed her saliva as she stared at the handsome Greek god in her front. The Greek god was an understatement as his handsome body structures, perfect abs, lovely pink lips which were begging to be kissed over and over again, and his curly hair.

She couldn't help but steal a glance at him. Even though she feels uncomfortable about it. Xavier, who noticed it, shook his head with a sigh. He could remember how she looked in her sleep. She was so cute and innocent that he almost kissed her while she was asleep.

He came back from work last night to sleep after many Mafia jobs and business. He didn't meet her in the bedroom. He doesn't know why he cares but he asks her from the maid, who told him that she was in the library. He met her there sleeping peacefully like a newborn baby. He had turned back to ignore her but his second self wanted him to help her, even though it was rare. He carried her in a bridal style and took her to his former room.

He isn't the one who shows concern for another person. That was how he was brought up in the hand of his father, the Mafia Don and he is glad about it. He takes his Mafia job more seriously than anything, he can't wait to get to the seat of the Mafia Don. Even though he has many adversaries who are against him, he doesn't care about it.

He looked at her as he heard her tiny cute feminine voice. She stared at her cute face with a cold and stoic expression. She looks cute and innocent for her to be engaged with him but he doesn't have a choice. He is glad that she isn't bad, she is beautiful and pretty so he doesn't have a problem with her. She is his perk even though she was just too innocent.

"Good day, Xavier. How was your night?" she greeted him in a cute voice.

She regretted why the last word slipped out of her lips. She shouldn't have asked him the last question because he doesn't look concerned. But he stared at her with a cold and stoic expression.

The expression sent a cold shiver down her spine. She doesn't know why he is scared of her husband. She shouldn't be scared of her husband but she had to because of his stoic and cold expression. His face doesn't look happy, always cold and stoic. The expression was always on his face ever since she knew him, even though it was different at the wedding ceremony.

She wished he was in love with her as he claimed in the ceremony. But it was all an imagination not reality. She thinks it is the high time she stops thinking that Xavier is in love with her. Someone who doesn't show love or concern about her.

"Morning," he said casually and went ahead to dress up in the closet.

He didn't even spare her a glance, and it hurts her deeply in the heart. She hates all this so much. She is married to someone who doesn't show love or concern for her. She hasn't spent so much time with him and he is behaving like this toward her. She wonders how her life is going to be. She just hopes everything goes well with her and Xavier. Though she doubts it would ever happen since he is only busy and concerned about his so-called business. She shook her head with a sigh.

She doesn't know what to say or do. He is just hurting her feelings. She climbed down from the bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up. She pulled off her clothes and quickly wrapped a white towel around my waist. She switched on the shower. She ran my hand through my long hair as water flowed down to my face.

She brushed my teeth before switching it off and shoved me into the jacuzzi tub which had been filled with warm water. She grabbed a fragrance soap and scrubbed my body for a while before rinsing my body. I stayed beneath the water for like almost an hour. Her head was hurting in pain. She stood up from the jacuzzi with water dripping from my body, reached for a white towel beside her and wrapped it around her waist together with my chest region, and walked out of the bathroom with a huffing sound.

She walked toward the wardrobe on the left side of her direction, pulled it open and brought out a nice blue hall gown which wasn't too short but nice on her. I slammed the door shut and put on the clothes which fitted her perfectly with her figure showing off her perfect shapes and curves. She knew Xavier wouldn't be able to resist my body. She shook her head in disappointment as she realized that Xavier had gone to work. She went to the dining room to have breakfast.

She drew a chair out and sat down on the chair. She felt lonely but she would be grateful that she was used to being lonely in her Aunt's house. She drew some of the plates of food to her closer. She opened it and dropped it gently on the glass dining table.

She sniffed in the mouth-watering aroma of the food which hit her nose. She was amazed by the swarm of foods in her front. She hasn't had an experience with expensive food before. She dishes out some food on a plate and takes the cutleries. She eats the food and within minutes she is done. She drank a large quantity of an orange voice which tasted so sweet in her mouth.

She cleaned her lips with the napkins and stood up from the chair. She decides to stride to the library since everywhere is boring in the house to her. She walked into the library and picked up a random book, and started reading like she always does. She spent the whole day in the mansion exploring and reading.
