A cutie Alpha.
“I’m not getting onto your lap, the same as we won’t discuss the matter or your sudden needs anymore. I’m done.” Seth spat and turned her head away from the Alpha.
She knew that her words might piss off Luciano, but she simply didn’t care. Not anymore. He had decided to toy with her, and Seth would rather rot in hell than allow anyone, especially an Alpha, to play with her emotions or body. Everything and everyone had their limits, Luciano managed to push her over hers.
“Kitten, I don’t like to repeat myself,” he growled, his hands gripping the steering wheel.
Seth glanced at the round piece of metal, fearing that he might bend or break it in half. Some Alphas didn’t know how much strength they possessed, making it difficult to avoid breaking certain things.
“And I don’t like to repeat myself, Alpha Luciano. First and foremost, I have a name, yet you wouldn’t use it under any circumstances. Oh, wait, did I even tell you my name? Did you ever fucking ask? Probably not. It’s Seth. S-E-T-H, not love, not kitten, and not fucking toy! Do I really have to start talking about how much I hate it when you call me those stupid names?” Seth scoffed, focusing her gaze on the passing cars rather than the look she might see on Luciano’s face.
The silence in the car dragged out, and after a while, Seth realized that the Alpha asshole was waiting on her to finish her rant. Sucking in a deep breath, she carried on. “Second, I will not twist and bend for your needs whenever you want me to. I’m not a toy, not your submissive or your partner. Playing around was fun, true that, but I haven’t given you consent to treat me as a part of your property. We won’t go there. Let me remind you how happy you were to make fun of me. Leaving me hanging right when I wanted you the most was fun, wasn’t it? Guess what? I don’t want you anymore. I’m beyond grateful for the things you did for me tonight, the same as I’m beyond pissed for the unneeded attention you brought towards me. If you want to prove that you can hold yourself together and stop being the controlling asshole I’ve gotten to know - leave me alone.” Seth spoke calmly, despite the rage she felt inside.
She didn’t want to start a heated argument that would end in his bed. Fighting with dominant men was a dangerous game, especially ones you wouldn’t have sex with. Sooner or later, you’d find yourself panting and moaning under a mountain of muscles.
Seth wanted to enjoy herself, and as hard it was to refuse him, she didn’t need Luciano.
“Think twice before you say what you’re about to say. I’m an Alpha, but I’m a man of honor as well. I will leave you, despite the animalistic need and stupid need of my own. But..” Luciano sighed, lifting a hand in front of his eyes and punching the bridge of his nose.
“But, as soon as I refuse something that I want, you can expect one of two outcomes. First, I might get bored and forget you for good. If that happens, even coming to me naked, begging to get fucked out of your senses won’t work. Two, I will stay quiet for a while, yet the primal predator in me will keep waiting. Waiting for the perfect moment to get out for a hunt. If that happens, there’s no way out. I won’t stop until that pretty little neck doesn’t have my fucking mark on it, and that perky ass won’t be covered in bruises after nonstop fucking. One or another, you won’t know which one it is until at least a couple of days pass. I can try to respect your limits and decisions, but I won’t give any promises of that dominant fucker that lives inside me.” Luciano spoke without looking at Seth.
He knew what she was going to do, and for him, it didn’t matter. Seth would be lucky if he lost his interest.
“You are the most arrogant, narcissistic, ignorant fucking man I’ve ever met. Just because we had some fun together doesn’t mean that I want to carry your mark, scent, or your damn claim. Wake up, Luciano; we are a different breed. We shouldn’t even sit in the same car, let alone sleep in one bed. Don’t challenge the laws of nature, and none of us will end up in a shit situation. It was nice and fun, but now, I will have to ask you to unlock the fucking car door. I’m done.” Seth threw her hands up, trying to seem a little more dramatic than she felt.
She knew that getting the point across when it came to an Alpha was nearly impossible. Everything challenged those men, every little detail that they didn’t like had to be changed.
Seth had a fair share of experience around Alphas from her early childhood years. Those men, thankfully, weren’t as dominant and demanding as wolves. Nor were they half as possessive as Alpha werewolf.
But they did have some characteristic traits they shared, and she had already gone through a time when everyone bossed her around.
It wasn’t something she wanted to live through again. Seth would be her own boss now. No more past, no more Alphas, and no more do’s or don’ts from people that didn’t deserve her.
“I will drive you home.” Luciano gripped the steering wheel again, speaking through gritted teeth.
Seth noticed how fast he changed. He was angry, and the first thing that made her see that was him, clenching his jaw. If there was one emotion Alpha wolves were good at showing off, it was anger.
“Do or say whatever the fuck you want; I won’t allow you to walk back there dressed like this, god damn it!” He wasn’t getting any louder, yet the voice itself became deeper.
Seth noticed how his eyes changed color back and forth, meaning that he was trying to fight his inner wolf. So, he did try his best to keep his promise. Luciano might prove to her that he was, indeed, a man of honor.
“No! I want to walk home, without you or anyone else playing mind games! I need time; you just told me that you are a man of honor, so fucking respect my decisions and leave me alone!” Seth screamed at the top of her lungs.
She couldn’t take more of his demanding attitude. Even if Luciano tried his best to stay calm and collected, she didn’t possess the same quality at this point.
Who the hell did he think he was? Since when would she allow a man who was nothing to her to dictate however she dressed?
Even more, Seth was more than capable of standing up and defending herself.
Many men had tried to approach her and just as many had ended up with a black eye or two. She was an independent, strong, and grown woman that had spent years to get where she was today.
No man was in a position to tell her what she was supposed to do or not.
“Alright, fuck, whatever! Before you go, remember, I can try to respect your limits and decisions. I can. But don’t expect the beast to be fucking humane, baby. You’re playing with an Alpha wolf, and that fucker won’t take no for an answer. Right now, you’re giving him more reasons to chase that sweet little ass of yours. I don’t think you should blame me for this, blame your fucking attitude.” Luciano leaned over her, yanked the car door open, and growled at her.
It was either she left, either he fucked her raw, at this point.
There wouldn’t be in-between anymore. If she didn’t start screaming like a maniac, showing off her bratty attitude, which he wanted to tame like never before, he would bring her home without problems.
Now, Luciano couldn’t allow her to stay in his car unless she was ready to end up in his bed, under his body.
If Seth didn’t leave, cursing the whole world and huffing under her breath, Luciano would mark her and keep to his side forever. It didn’t matter if she wanted that to happen or not, at least for the wolf, it didn’t.
Seth undid the seatbelt, got out of the vehicle and slammed the door with full force. If he didn’t seem bothered by her anger outburst, he would be by her use of strength.
Everyone knew that men had a special relationship with their steel horses, especially ones as expensive-looking as one that Luciano owned.
But, to her displeasure, he didn’t care. He started the car and drove away without any hesitation. Seth grinned in victory; at least the Alpha didn’t notice how she snatched the blanket from his back seat. She didn’t care why he had one in the first place, Seth needed something to cover herself up.
First, Seth grabbed her phone to check if there were any messages. Her cellphone was as dry as ever. Anton was busy with his new toy, and her friends didn’t seem to have noticed her absence yet.
Perhaps it was better, she didn’t want to bother anyone with her problems, and if Seth called Amy or Gabe, their whole night would be ruined.
It couldn’t be that difficult to find her way back to the territory and cabin. Besides, the drive to the club wasn’t as long, and Luciano drove more than halfway back anyway.
Seth was close; she assumed that getting back wouldn’t take more than ten minutes.
As time passed, she kept checking her phone every couple of minutes, accepting the fact that she was wrong. Seth noticed a bigger rock at the side of the road and sat down, sighing.
She didn’t want to walk barefoot, but the heels were killing her, and she started rethinking the decisions she made.
Most of all, she regretted her anger outburst. She could have kept quiet and let the Alpha bring her back to the cabin. If she were able to keep her mouth shut, by now, Seth would enjoy the comfort of her bed behind locked doors.
The phone in her hands buzzed, a new message notification popping up. She was hesitant to open it; for some reason, she received a message from a person Seth tried to erase from her life. With her hands shaking, Seth took a deep breath and opened the dreaded message.
**FATHER**
Sweetheart, we need to talk. Give me a call whenever you have time. Love, dad.
Seth took a sharp breath and tried to avoid making any gagging noises. There had to be someone next to that fucker, looking over his shoulder. His message was another way to put up a show. The man never loved his daughter; she was there only when it was convenient for him.
Seth was the firstborn child, but he wouldn’t accept her because she was a woman.
He ran around and fucked every mateless woman he could find. He claimed it was because he needed a son, a true heir, but funny enough, he never stopped doing it.
One mistress after another kept popping out babies like cannons. He fathered more crotch goblins than Seth could count, and given that they haven't met in years, she had no idea if there were more.
That’s how she ended up with five sisters and eight brothers, at least those she knew of. The brothers had a ridiculous age difference, all in weeks. Her father claimed to love her mother, but it was another part of his show.
He never did.
Seth felt a tear roll down her cheek, memories of her mother flooding her mind, suffocating her soul.
*“Mom, I miss you,”* Seth cried out in a whisper. If her mother were alive, she wouldn’t leave her home in such a hurry.
She was the only reason why Seth would stay around; even her siblings couldn’t make her stay. It wasn’t that she hated them, the problem, once again, was the father.
Since all of her brothers and sisters admired him, they grew up and became the same asshole of a person as he was. None of them knew the pain she had to go through, nor the pain of her mother.
Car flashlights startled her; Seth instantly turned her attention towards a frantic-looking man who was approaching her.
“Oh my god, sweetheart, are you okay? Did something happen to you? Did anyone hurt you? Do you need help? Please, don’t be afraid; I was driving by and noticed you here, so I couldn’t let myself ignore you. I didn’t want to scare you, promise.” His voice was soft and charming.
His hair was a mess, but even that didn’t make him look less handsome. The stranger was tall, pretty fit. An aura of power radiated off of him, but it wasn’t as intense as around Luciano. This man, for some reason, made her feel safe.
Seth quickly wiped the tears off her cheeks and shook her head. “No, I’m okay, sorry if I scared you. I’m just taking a break from walking; thank you for stopping and checking on me though.”
Seth met the stranger’s frantic gaze and smiled, trying to assure him that she was okay.
“Are you heading for the city? If so, I can take you there. I’m on the way to the supermarket anyway. I just found out that they have a store that works till 5 am; how could I ignore the need to buy some ice cream?” He chuckled, unintentionally showing off his gentle nature.
“I’m actually going in the opposite direction. Don’t worry; I’ll get there pretty quickly.” Seth retorted. The temptation to join him was huge, yet Seth didn’t want to go back to the city. She missed the comfort of her bed and loneliness.
“I don’t want to sound like a creep or anything because I’m not one. Okay, I know that a creep would say that, but I promise that I really am not a creep. Anyway, if you’re heading to the Council territory, I would gladly offer you a ride. First, the ice cream, then I can drive you there since I’m going back there as well. Remember that I’m not a creep, but I’d gladly share the ice cream, fluffy blanket, and a spot on the couch if you want to watch some movies with me. I don’t have many friends around here… Alright, I have none so far, but this might be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”
Seth liked the shy approach he chose. He was bubbly and seemed pretty fun. After the dreaded message, she needed some positivity in her life. For a while, Seth thought of heading straight to Luciano’s house and doing something she never thought of doing - beg.
Now, she had a chance to avoid that and gain a new friend, perhaps a lover. Seth jumped back to her feet and grinned. “I’m up to movies and ice cream any time of the day. I’m Seth.” She offered a hand to shake.
Instead of a formal handshake, the tall male pulled her into a bear hug. “I’m Vlad; nice to meet you, Seth. Don’t feel surprised if someone sees us and addresses me as an Alpha. I know it’s hard to notice, but unfortunately, I’m one of those jerks. But I promise I’m not a jerk!” Vlad let go of her and ran to his car, opening the door for her.
Seth thanked him and grinned. “I know you’re not. If anything, you’re a cutie Alpha.” She added, winking at the blushing man.
Now, it seemed that she had a lot of things to learn in the near future. Who would have known that there were shy Alphas out there? She might actually like this one.
