CHAPTER 36: Thirst

“I am not sure what did that girl did that to you for you to talk nonsense, Akihiro Kuran!”

My grandfather shouted with force, breaking the glass wall beside my room. I couldn’t move nor say a thing as I was still burning. I tried to form words, but I am feeling the pain. I don’t even know if I can recover from this knowing my whole existence was filled with some antidote to keep my regeneration like human.

“You are the next in line! Do you think I will let you ruin our clan just for that girl when you don’t even know her!” He shouted again. My father was looking at me right now, disappointed. He never really said a thing to me…but I was sure he was thinking of how to end my craziness towards Alicia.

I smirked. I don’t think they can do it. I tried it for years but I always ended up choosing her over and over again.

“I…lo…ve…her…” I stammered as I tried to let go of his power. Slowly, he stopped the fire around me, making me breathe. Still, I am burning inside. It didn’t help at all.

Although a part me of me enjoyed this, knowing that…I always wanted to be human, to feel what human can feel to be able to understand all of them, especially Alicia.

“You can torture me yet…” I shook my head. “You cannot force me to forget her because I will not…I am willing to be cast out—aahhh!” I screamed when my father put the dagger in my chest.

“You might want to change that because it might make us kill the girl.” My father warned me. “You are aware that this neighboorhood is just small…and I can just flick my hand and she will be dead.”

“NO!” I confidently said. If my hunch was right, they cannot kill her…because it would also mean war. “You cannot afford to go to war, right? So, I don’t think you can afford to kill her.” I said, still stammering. But, I might be wrong.

As of the moment, I don’t know where is Alicia and if those hunters already killed her. Knowing she has a blood witch, they might use it for sacrifices. But, if they really aren’t the clan who killed people, she will be spared.

“If you have hunch of who she is, then you should probably realized now that whatever happens, both of you can never be together!” My father pulled the dagger, making me scream, and before I can recover he broke my arms.

I continued cursing since it is the only thing I can do as of the moment. I closed my eyes and imagined Alicia’s smiling face. That’s the only thing that is keeping me alive right now. I might have chosen death if I weren’t thinking of what will happen to her.

“I don’t want…” I bowed my head. “I’m sorry…but I no…longer want to be the–ah! king!” I managed to shout the word king before my grandfather threw me to the wall and the wall was now broken.

Just then, our men entered my room. I was already weak that I lost conciousness…while they were bringing me out. I wasn’t aware what happened next.

I woke up in a dark room. My whole body was tied in a metal chain. It isn’t healing. It was the first time so I am not sure if I will be able to get through this.

My eyes adjusted from the light. Damn! I am inside the interrogation room which means my grandfather will not let me go out unless I followed his orders. He’s going to bleed me to death now until I crave for blood.

This isn’t the first time it happened to me, but this is the first time that I did it for someone else. I closed my eyes and tried getting inside Alicia’s dream…but I couldn’t find her. It might be because she wasn’t asleep or hopefully not because she is already dead.

“Fancy seeing you here, cousin.” Andrei appeared in front of me.

“What did you do to Alicia?” I asked him, looking at him…who’s now copying my look.

Fuck! I hate that trick he is pulling right now because it means that Alicia might be in danger now. I just hope she is aware that it wasn’t me everytime Andrei is with her. It is fucking weird to look at him now using my face.

“Nothing. She’s stubborn.” He replied. “She hasn’t invited me yet in their house. But, it’s okay because I already kissed her. Her lips are so soft and—-”

“You fucking traitor!” I shouted, blood dripping from my mouth and body. I pulled the chain, giving all my strength so I can let go. Fuck! I crave blood now! “Don’t touch her! She is mine!”

“You don’t own her, Akihiro. You love her…but she doesn’t love you.” He smirked. “If you want to see her, then you need to get out of here…if you can…” He slowly changed to his real face, now grinning at me.

“Maybe…I’ll try to go second base on her later.”

“You’re lying.” I said. “Alicia will never let you do that to her.”

“I am Akihiro.” He smiled. “I can make her do anything I want to do as long as she can save her family.”

He’s bluffing and I trust Alicia. I know her. Although, it’s a relief that she is alive.

“Is she okay?” I asked Andrei. “Please let me know if she is okay.”

“You should ask first what I am going to do to her.” It was my father.

I turned behind Andrei. My father was intently looking at me. “I see. Being in this place still doesn’t wake you up from the fact that you aren’t allowed to be together.”

“I can break the rules, father.” I said, determined. “Please, don’t harm her. I will do everything you will ask me. Just don’t…don’t kill her.” I bowed my head and started crying.

I have never done this in my life…and I never thought I would be able to do it. For her, she made me do things I never thought I can.

“Father, please…please…” I begged, started kneeling with my tears falling. “I will do everything. If you want me to marry Leah then I would—”

“I want you to kill Alicia.”

My eyes widened when Hades appeared with Alicia’s unconcious body in front of me.

“Alicia…” I whispered.

“Kill her.” My father handed me the dagger.

I looked at Alicia. She’s so pure and innocent while sleeping.

“I’m sorry.” I whispered to her before I slit her hand and sipped the blood that runs through it.
