Chapter 18 the dagger

I returned to my residence, and my manager looked at me anxiously.
"I thought you had disappeared. Seriously, you ran out too fast."
"Don't worry too much. I just went out for a stroll."
"I'm distraught that you'll disappear again, Anne. Do you know, when you were found, you were tightly holding a dagger in your hand, with an unknown golden paint-like substance inside your palm?
"I don't know what it is, but there's always a sense of dread."
"What?!!"
Just when I was sure that it was all an illusion, the existence of natural objects told me that some things had indeed happened.
"Can you let me see that dagger?"
My manager told me that the dagger was in my suitcase. Carefully, I opened it, as if opening a switch, to uncover the unknown truth. It appeared before me. Remarkably similar to the memories of a thousand years ago. That dagger, the one that killed a pharaoh— Akhenaten.
