Chapter 19 Murder

I picked up the dagger.
"This thing looks quite exquisite; it feels like an antique."
My manager watched on from the side. I examined it for a moment and asked.
"Do you know how Amenhotep IV died?"
"How would I know?" My manager responded with a blank look.
I immediately rushed out, opened my laptop, and searched for the term: "How did Akhenaten die?"
The online explanations were varied, but the only confirmed fact was:
Murder.
I vividly remembered the night I opened the treasure chest that housed this dagger, filled with indescribable hatred.
At that time, I, Ankhesen, was planning to kill my father that night. The top-secret palace was lost in the desert, and the mysterious and handsome man claimed to have been killed by someone.
His attire in the coffin was strikingly similar to the legendary pharaoh's. As for why his appearance and voice didn't match, I could not ponder on that any longer.
Risk had to be minimized as much as possible. I now have no time to consider Aten; he is just a fictional character.
I only want to escape from here. Akhenaten's existence is not for the sake of pursuing someone.
Narrow-minded people will only seek revenge against me. I must escape from here.
