Devon Solaire's POV
"Nana, I'm leaving" I said goodbye and quickly left the mansion. The bus we were taking to the shipping port stopped just in time.
I ran there and entered, it looked like I was the only one missing. All the seats were occupied except for a man in the farthest corner in a hoodie on the side of the window.
The vacancy was just next to him so I sat there.
I took out my book and read about medicines. The bus started up again and teenagers like me on this bus started making noise.
I just ignored them and continued reading. I first adjusted my mirror and sneezed softly then moved the page.
I am Devon Solaire.Seven years old. My parents work at Moon Academy as a medical professional and I want to be like them too.
We are not-me, just ordinary mortals. We have magic and have our own world called 'Luna', people like me have magic.
"Hey, Crush! Are you here too ?!" I glanced for a moment at the sharp voice of the woman who was looking at ... next to me.
She is beautiful but her clothes and make up are creepy. Black. But her complexion matches what she is wearing.
But the weird is, she's calling Crush this weird guy next to me who just glanced out the window as if he didn't care.
I just focused on reading again.
"Oh, your famous one, Crush ..... hmmp!" The woman said again and folded her arms, I saw in my pheripheral vision
I hid the book I was reading sharply as the bus slowed down, a sign that we were here.
We all got ready and got off the bus. I grabbed my travel bag tightly and followed my fellow teenagers to the huge golden ship.
"I'm excited! What can Moon Academy look like ?!" I heard the woman say to her fellow woman who was also obviously excited.
"Of course, beautiful and magical no. You'd think we were chosen even though we're from 'Seleno'" the girl answered and giggled.
Seleno-calls the poor clans
"And a lot of paparazzi!" His friend said with a shudder. I was just shaken and reached the top of the ship.
Many of us go to Moon Academy to study. A different nations.
Moon Academy is a school for select students. It's like a mix. They choose those who are strong, smart, and able to protect our Luna. But I was there to learn to heal, not to fight.
The ship rang signaling that we were leaving. I went to the front of the ship followed by the others.
I grabbed the iron handle and blinked firmly then sighed.
I was desperate to know who, with whom and why a voice bothered me every night.
"Look! A mermaid!" We all looked at the man who looked like Seleno based on his clothes and voice.
"Duh! We know Seleno people! Have you just seen a mermaid?" The woman next to me said calmly and flipped her hair. The man bowed and left out of embarrassment.
"Hey, Novel! Why did you do that ?!" the woman's sharp voice moaned. The one who called 'Crush' next to me. It's weird because 'Novel' is also black. What lineage are they and their trip is all black?
"Serves him right! The Seleno Groups are annoying. They're a useless hunters and huntress" he whispered to others. Novel looks scandalous

Can you still call someone boyfriend/girlfriend when there is no 'you'? Not really, the same goes for friend/bestfriend. That's why, labels are just words.
"Forget bestfriend moko. I have Dev now, Nov" Blessary's defiant response and suddenly the long table caught fire which surprised us all and immediately stood up and walked away. Apparently no one wants to get involved in the wheel just starting out. Novel and Blessary were the only ones there and sitting.

"Okay then. From now on, you're not my bestfriend anymore, your my rival. My worst enemy!" Novel shouted and the table lit up even more

Novel created a ball fire and threw it at Blessary who avoided it. So in the direction we went but someone dodge it using water.
"Hey guys! There's no destination against you, that's useless!" The water user yelled and was about to approach but stopped when Blessary set up a boundary using fire so that no one could approach them.

They just change power and nothing happens. They're both skilled in using their magics but they're just wasting.
We heard two claps and in one snap, the fire vanished and everything went back to normal.
"Enough, ladies." We all sighed when someone suddenly appeared in the middle seat and that was a lady who I think is in her mid 40's.
He looked at us.
"Sit" he commanded so we all went back to our Pwestohan.
"Wasting your magics is such a worthless, Luna's. Our magic is permanent but! It can weaken us if we use too much especially to such a wasteless fight!" He gave a strict sermon so no one spoke.
"I'm Moiselle, your instructor in this ship.So I'm expecting that you're all behave and well-mannered, especially the two of you-Novel Chopin and Blessary Prada, your actions a while ago were I hate!" "Eat" she said in commanding voice. They even threw an evil stare and started eating quietly.
That's all I wanted, peace.
While we were eating, Ms. Moiselle was also telling us the rules and regulations here on the ship. We were still here for 2 days because there was a problem at Moon Academy and we didn't want to be affected as beginners. She just asked questions until she asked what the power was. we have. Most of them are water nature, earth, air, metal and lava. It's surprising because the magic of the man humiliated by Novel turned out to be null.
Null magic is a rare one. You can't be touched by any magic, even the strongest magic can't. That's why it's very useful in battle
"Fire" Blessary replied.
"I see. You're in stage 2, right?" Ms. Moiselle asked.
Well, in every magic, it has different stages.
Stage 1-the normal or your starting from your magic.It's color is based on your magic pero normal palang, like blessary's magic.In stage one of fire, it's red.
Stage 2-moving up. Where the color of your magic will change again. It seems stronger. In blessary, her fire was now yellow orange
Stage 3-Upgraded. Your now ready as a fighter. A skilled one. In case Blessary goes to stage 3, her hair color can also change and there will be a tattoo as a symbol of your magic in the middle of your collar bone. When it fires, it will turn blue
Stage 4-Elite. You can now join Elite Royals in Moon Academy. You have learned a lot about your magic. In case of blessary's fire, it will turn to purple. And the color of your eyes will also change.
But, that's not easy to go to the stage. There are many trials, hardships, sweat and fatigue to get to the different stages. For me, I'm only in stage 1.
Blessary nodded and continued eating. Ms. Moiselle looked at me. "Healing" I replied and she nodded before turning to the one next to me.
"You're a healer, Dev. That's great!" Blessary complimented, I just smiled a bit and nodded.
Many more answered until it was Novel's turn
"Fire" she replied. "Stage 2 kana rin. And I can see to your magic that you are close to stage 3" Ms. Moiselle said and a smile of victory flashed on her and turned us with an evil stare.
I just gasped.
"Dark Fire" I immediately looked at Crush as he spoke.
"Dark Fire? What stages?" Ms.Moiselle asked in amazement
"Stage 2" he replied and continued eating.
"That must be very hard for you Mr.Schoenberg. Well, Dark Fire is a rare magic also. They start with dark red, then violet, purple and lastly dark."
He explained. Well, that must be quite hard.

"Ice" I looked at the woman who said Ice. Well, about the healing I said, I lied about that part.

The woman didn't answer and just continued eating. Suddenly the table caught fire again but the woman's Ice caught up with it.
I'm just wondering because his ice isn't that thick, unlike me.
"Wew! It's cold! Ate Girl, bring it back to normal" said Blessary but the woman just shook her head. "Once I release Ice, I can't bring it back" I frowned at what he said. Why?
"Oww, ok." Then ms. Moiselle clapped her hands again and the table returned to normal.
"Ice here also, and her" the man said to the woman.
And that continued, in the end, I was the only healing which is not either. I can heal but not magic, just potion.
There are five of us Ice Users, especially the weirdo man with blue hair. I'm just wondering because their ice isn't that thick and theirs is lighter, compare me to crystal blue and thick. Maybe only on stages.
Everyone resumed eating, I was still wondering why Ms. Moiselle are our names.

I stopped eating for a moment when I heard the voice again. And then I just saw that the four ice users also stopped. It means, they heard it too. I continued chewing and drinking water again.

After dinner we went back to our cabin. The novel and blessary were left to talk to Ms. Moiselle

Until my feet reached the front of the ship. It was midnight and I was thankful because the sleeves of my robe were long and it stretched all the way down.

"I can hear you .... but I won't" I whispered into the air and closed my eyes firmly

"I heard it again, this way!" I opened my eyes to hear the voices. I immediately climbed to the top where the decks were and hid. I peeked a little and saw four Ice Users.
"What message does the voice convey?" The man asked in astonishment and leaned against the front of the ship.
"I don't know, but what I do know is that it's connected to our Ice Users" the woman scolded and leaned on the iron as well.
"What should we do?"
"Maybe we can ask the one who sang earlier" I looked back when the weird man with blue hair looked in my direction.
My chest was throbbing so hard I calmed myself down and sighed repeatedly.
I immediately stood up and turned around and was surprised when ....... Crush..without a hoodie so I could see the whole of his face.
He has the dark violet curly hair at blue eyes. Reddish lips, pointed nose and thick eyelashes and eyebrows. He is also white, but ...
"What ..... are you doing here?" I asked calmly.
