Auror

We spent the whole day until nightfall patrolling our borders. I haven’t done this in the morning for a long time. We reached the glaciers and then turned back; we found no signs of anything—no scent, no fur, not even blood from the male that attacked Kynai.
“Ancient magic, this is getting out of hand, Auror.”
“Yes.” I snarl furiously as we run deeper into the forest in the darkness. It took us all morning to get there and all afternoon to return. We’re approaching the place where we’ll meet the males who covered the entire northern border.
“Nothing, sir, no sign that Kynai was attacked. No animals seem to have crossed the magical lines, and we didn’t find any breaches,” Hubbyl, a border ferus, informs us.
“Ancient magic doesn’t leave breaches in the protection barriers. Double the patrols,” I order.
“Yes, sir.”
All the males leave as soon as I end the conversation.
“We need to go home.”
“Yes.”
As I run, feeling my paws hitting the ground beneath me, my lungs fill and empty with each heavy breath. The sensation of running makes me feel free; it’s always been the best part of me, the way I felt and still feel while covering long distances.
Near home, I decide not to go inside so dirty. I circle around, jump into the river, and wash myself. Ann doesn’t like me doing this; she says the water is cold and I can do it in her company. But I need to clear my head. The revelation that my unborn child is in danger has kept me awake for several nights.
When I feel I’ve cleaned myself enough, I get out of the water, shaking off the excess, and run back to the hill where my house is. I climb quickly, and by the time my paws hit the flat ground, I’m dry.
I cross the lawn, open the door, and hear the TV on.
“Sir,” Arow stands up when he sees me. “She’s in the TV room.”
“Go ahead, Arow. Thank you for taking care of her.” He looks at me with surprise, and I know it’s not common for me to show gratitude.
“I’ll always be available.” The young male disappears from my view as I enter through the door, and Ann smiles.
“I couldn’t wait any longer.” She throws herself into my arms.
“Wow! It looks like your day was full of revelations and a lot of work.” She excitedly shares everything she went through, but what makes my companion happiest is knowing she’s one hundred percent angelic.
“I’m scared, Auror.” The darkness of fear soon envelops her thoughts, and I close the door.
“Ann, I’m here. We’re together, and nothing will happen, okay?”
“Luna told me we need to stay close. Arow will take care of Emmy, and I’ll stay with you.”
“I don’t want you sad, Ann. I know you love what you do and you love the breakfasts with Arow.”
“He can come with Emmy every day. I’m just determined to stay safe and close. Soon this nightmare will end, and the fear will go away. All I want now is to be close to you, my mate.” Her hand caresses my face, and I close my eyes.
“I wish you’d never leave,” I say, still with my eyes closed.
“We’ll never be apart.”
I lift my companion into my arms and take her to our bedroom, gently laying her on the bed.
“What do you want me to do, Ann?”
“Anything that will make me forget the fear I’m feeling.”
I’ve learned a lot about how to make my companion’s body ignite, but if there’s something that makes Ann forget everything, it’s my head between her legs. I trace my tongue over her skin, feeling her hairs stand up, not stopping at any specific point. I know that wherever the heat of my tongue passes, it burns, making her even wetter for me.
“Your tongue burns like a trail of fire leading to my pussy.” I smile, knowing that only I will be the male to give her these sensations for all eternity.
Without saying anything, just being graced by the music that her moans play, I dive my mouth into her sex and start sucking as if my Ann were a juicy piece of the best game. My tongue runs along her entire length, then inserts it into her hot, tight hole.
"Auror!" Her scream is combined with the pulling of the long hairs on my head.
I hold her flesh tightly so she doesn't move away from me, that's always her first reaction, so I sink deeper, smearing my entire face with her pleasure. I move my tongue, rubbing where Ann has some ripples, according to her, that's her internal pleasure point, I focus there, pressing my tongue until it runs all of its flavor into my mouth.
"AHHHH!" Her scream comes along with the flood of her taste exploding in my mouth and the strong pulls on my hair.
"I'm going to ride you until you no longer remember your own name." — I turn her back to me, moving her body so that she is in the position I desire, then my cock, which is already drooling and yearning for her, takes the place that previously belonged to my tongue and the roar of excitement that I give echoes throughout our house.
I will give her pleasure all night long and nothing else will matter to us.

Months have passed with intensified searches, and soon another winter will arrive, bringing a new mating cycle. Yet, there hasn't been a single lead. The angelics haven't found any traces, and my protection of Ann becomes increasingly stringent. Out of fear, she doesn't leave my side, and whenever that happens, Arow and Jacob keep her company. The plan remains the same: if an attack happens while she's with them, one fights while the other protects the leader's mate, taking her away from danger.
Even though I can’t always stay close, any time away from her makes me even more irritable; only her scent calms me. Winter is approaching, and everyone will soon be confined. Hunting increases, and we start stocking up on food and hygiene products to ensure a comfortable and safe winter.
At this very moment, we are in the living room with the fireplace lit. It's already night when Ann's phone rings.
“Bourn, what happened?” Hearing that name makes my entire body shiver. “Stay calm. We won't let your mare die.”
“I want to know how Auror says he handles everything when there's no vet available when needed?” I hear Bourn shouting on the other end of the line, and my claws come out.
“We're all on standby. We have two animals in care and weren’t aware of your mare, but don’t worry, I’ll come there myself and we’ll take care of the mare and the foal.”
“Don’t be long. If she lies down, we could lose him.” The call ends, and Ann stands up.
“You’re not going,” I growl furiously.
“I can’t let an animal die, Auror. I’m a veterinarian, and I can’t allow that.”
“No! Bourn can wait. I’m not letting you go alone.”
“Come with me.” Her words freeze me in place. “Yes, I’m not staying here, and you won’t let me go alone, so come with me.”
She runs to the bedroom to change, and I stand there, paralyzed. I didn’t believe she would do something like this; in fact, I never even considered it.
“Let’s go. Everything I need is already in the truck; Arow got everything prepared.” I get into the spacious truck, which comfortably fits both of us.
“I don’t like being in this metal can on wheels.”
“Do you want to run through the woods with me?” she probes.
“No,” I growl, showing no reaction.
