Chapter 23

Layla

They continued kissing me tenderly until my orgasm subsided. When I looked at them, they both just smiled at me. I couldn’t help but smile. I heard the doorbell in the distance.

“When you’re ready you can come out princess.”

“Okay”

After they both left, I continued laying there feeling limp and light. I cleaned up and then headed to the living room. I stopped short and there was another guy there. He was taller than Dean and Aleck and huge. I guess they saw the confusion on my face.

“This is Mac, one of our security details”. Aleck said smiling. I nodded at the man.
“Hello Mrs.”

“Hello”, I said quietly. I wanted to look at the two idiots for making him address me as Mrs. but I knew it would be no use. When Mac pulled aside that’s when I noticed Macy was sitting there. I immediately looked at the two brothers. Dean walked over and stood in front of her looking at her. Mac walked out of the room.

“Why did you do it Macy”?

She looked at him with a confused expression. “Do what? What exactly did I do now?”

“That’s not going to work Macy” Aleck said looking at her.

“I honestly have no idea what you think it is that I’ve done.”

“So, you’re saying that you weren’t the one that posted our identities online”? Dean asked her.

“No. I saw that, but that wasn’t me. I didn’t even know that was who you two really were.”

I was looking at them both. “Yes, I was pissed at all of you especially you Dean because I’ve always been in love with you. Then Layla was always around, you always brushed me off. I’m still pissed at all of you, but I wouldn’t go that far, even if I knew you two were really billionaires CEOs, I wouldn’t do that so no. I didn’t do what you’re accusing me of” she said quietly. After that she stood up and walked out.

If it wasn’t her then who was it. I looked at them. “Macy doesn’t know. Mallory and Andrew’s wedding night when we figured it out. Lexi and Tina were there also their father but they don’t know where the others live. So, who?” I asked.

“Mac”

I saw Mac walk back into the room. “Yes boss?

“It wasn’t her, check on two other people Lexi and Tina Morris. Also, The guy?”

“He’s looking for her. I’ll check the other two individuals. Deigo called he’s following a trail from the college”.

“Okay”

When Mac left, I took a seat on the couch. I was getting a headache. I stood up and looked at them. “I’m going to my room. I need to get some sleep it’s almost eleven”. They both came over to me and kissed me gently on my forehead.

“It’s okay baby girl.”
“Goodnight princess”

I left them there and headed to my room. Once there I changed into my sleepwear and got into bed. I lay there unable to turn my mind off. Whoever was doing this had to be the person that has been sending me threats and there was only one way this would end. Either I get hurt, dean or Aleck. We’ll end up separating because that was this person’s main objective. They wanted me to stay away from dean and Aleck, that was all they wanted.

This person must have been watching me for a long time. I don’t believe Macy, maybe she didn’t do it personally, but she has help. She gave them all the information and told them everything she knows about us. That must be it, because I don’t think Macy would suddenly become calm. I continued laying there until I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up to my phone, messages were coming in one after the other. I turned and grabbed my phone. I checked I had over 60 notifications. I had multiple emails, especially from the company that I freelance with. I sat up instantly. I leaned over and grabbed my laptop from the nightstand. I was scared to check it, but I had no choice but to check them. The first email I received was from the company, it was a termination email. They no longer needed my services citing. Breach of trust was the grounds for the termination, but I knew that wasn’t the truth.

I continued checking the emails and they were from the businesses and individuals that I’ve done work for. Cancelling their contracts. Some emails were from some of my past coworkers I had. Calling me disgusting and shameless and worse, one even called me a prostitute. I shut my laptop down and sat there at a loss. I didn’t have social media accounts. My phone vibrated; A message came in from a number.

I checked the message, and it was a message telling me to kill myself. I turned the phone off and sat there. I knew this was coming, I expected this from whoever was doing this to me. It happened sooner than I expected it to happen.
I heard a knock on the door. I composed myself and got up and opened the door. Dean was standing there.

“Morning princess. You good”?

“Ye I’m okay, I just woke up gimme a minute I’ll join you guys for breakfast.”

“Okay”

I closed the door and stood there. I couldn’t tell them what was happening. The reality of what was happening really hit me. My life was ruined, I can’t and wouldn’t be able to get a job anywhere, at least not for the foreseeable future, until this situation is dealt with, and my name was cleared. I can deal with this; I can handle this. Dean and Aleck don’t need to know.

Aleck

When she walked into the kitchen, she smiled but her smile didn’t reach her eyes. Something was wrong that much I knew. I looked at Dean and he nodded without her seeing he saw it too. We weren’t going to force her to talk, she’ll tell us when she’s ready.

During breakfast she was quiet. After breakfast she was about to leave.

“We’re moving to a different Apartment”.

“Oh okay. I need to find an apartment also’. She answered quietly.

“Princess? Are you about to ditch us again” Dean asked her.

“No Dean I’m not”.

“Good because wherever we go, you’re going too. I’ll send you the list of apartments and you can choose one” I said looking at her gauging what was going on with her.

“Okay. I’ll be in my room I need to take care of some work.”

After she left, we sat there.

“Something is bugging the hell out of her Dean”.

“I know but what.”?

“Not sure but for some reason I feel uneasy. The last time I felt like this was when she ditched us.”

He looked at me” You don’t think she’s” he stopped when she came around the corner.

“I’ll be back in a few. I need to pick up some stuff. My Mail from my old apartment and some orders” she said grabbing the keys from the table. She came over and kissed us then left.

“Something isn’t right Dean. She has never done that.”

He didn’t need to tell me neither did I. We stood up and He grabbed the keys and we headed down. When we got to the garage she was driving out. We followed her and she went exactly where she said she was going. We were about to head back when I saw her answer her phone and her face went pale. She got back into the car and drove to the park. She parked and got out and sat at one of the tables. We kept looking at her.

“Something Happened Aleck”

“Let’s wait for her to tell us”

We headed back to the apartment and waited for her. When she returned it was almost four in the afternoon. When she walked through the door and saw us, she smiled as if nothing was wrong. She came over and plopped herself down on the couch.

“And what did you boys do today”? she asked, throwing her foot over mine.

“Nothing much, just relaxed. Did you get everything done”? Dean asked her.

“Yea most of it. I had some work stuff to take care of, so I stopped at the park and did it. Send me the list of apartments I’ll check them out after I grab a shower.”

“Okay”.

I was confused. When she got that call, she looked scared, like the world was pulled out from under her feet and now she was smiling. I found Dean looking at me. I knew he was as confused as I was. I sent her the link for the apartments. During dinner she told us which one she liked.

“Okay, Dean do you have any meetings tomorrow morning”?

“Yes. So do you. Princess you can buy the apartment in your name. I’ll send the money over to your account. Take one of those three miscreants with you”.

“Umm”

She sounded unsure. “It’s okay baby girl. Whatever you choose is okay with us” I said looking at her.

“Okay”.
