Dean

I couldn’t believe what I was reading. All these messages telling her to kill herself calling her names. The list went on and on. I saw the termination email.

“Okay why are they sending her this. There isn’t anything on social media about her so how”? Chris asked.

“This person is smart. They probably sent whatever it was to her job and the people she is in contact with for work that’s why there are emails and nothing more. They probably put her number online or in a forum” Andrew said.

Fuck it was one thing after the other. She was laying in a hospital bed in a coma and can’t do or say anything in her defence. I looked at Aleck.

“Yesterday morning, look at the time stamp. This was why she was quiet during breakfast”.

We explained what happened the previous day to them.

Andrew was pacing the living room. “Okay Something isn’t adding up. According to Rea Layla said Josh was blackmailing her, but the idiot said he wasn’t, someone lied. Would Layla lie to Rea”?

“Maybe she did but she would Know that Rea would tell one of us then Dean and Aleck would know but If she did lie, why would she lie about her ex”? Chris asked.

“Rea wouldn’t lie about something like that would she? I mean what would she gain from it”? Aleck asked.

“What if that asshole was lying, and he really was blackmailing her. We need her phone” I said looking at them.

When the sun rose, we were still there trying to piece it together. We were left with more questions than answers. Andrew and Chris left at six they had to get to work. Aleck and I left for the office at eight. I wanted to go to the hospital to see her but didn’t.
When we got to the office Justin was waiting for us.

“Mr Cavanaugh your interview is set for ten in boardroom seven with Angela Davis from the times”.

“Aleck, do you want to do it”?

“Na, I’m not in the right headspace to do it. You’ll be more composed than I am. I need to get Mac and the rest of the security details and put them to work”.

“Okay”

At minutes to ten I was in the boardroom sitting in front of the woman. She had on too much make up. They tried that shit with me, but I wasn’t having it.

“Mr Cavanaugh we’ll begin when you’re ready” she said trying to sound seductive but failed miserably.

“I’m ready when ever you are Ms Davis”.

“Very well”. She looked at the man and he nodded.

“Everything will be recorded and then when we get back to the studio it will be aired”.

“Of course,”.

“I’m sitting here with one of the CEOs of DLA Global Mr Dean Cavanaugh. Mr Cavanaugh you are only one of the founders of DLA, who is the other CEO”?

“My Twin Brother Aleck Cavanaugh”

“My my my , twin brothers. How old are you”?

“Twenty-six years old”.

“Can you give us some back story on DLA, why, where and how did it start”?

I explained how we started our company. All the while she kept trying to get my attention. Fucking women were always eager to get the attention of a wealthy man.

“So, you and your brother basically became successful to make someone proud”?

“That is correct”.

“And who is this special individual”?

Like hell was I fucking saying her name

“Just someone that is very close and special to us and our family”.

“I see. Did your close friends know of your newfound wealth”?

“No, they never knew and now that they know about it nothing has changed”

“Well on to the questions that I know most of the female viewers will be dying to know”.

I knew what was coming. They would want to know about our personal life.

“Are you and you brother currently Dating”?

“Yes. We are both in committed relationships”.

“I see and who are these two lucky individuals”?

Ha if they only knew. We were both in love with the same woman and sleeping with her they would probably lose their shits.

“Our partners shouldn’t be any concern to the public. We never made our identities know because we liked the privacy it gave us. Our private and personal lives were never interfered with due to our work. Ms Davis the truth is that my brother and I never wanted people to know who we are, but someone found out and posted it online and that is why you’re sitting here right now”.

“So, someone made the connection and posted it online. Do you know who it was”?

I smiled at her. “At this exact moment no but our security detail is looking for the person”. And make no mistakes they will be dealt with accordingly”.

“I see. There are a few pictures that are currently floating around online. It shows you and your brother along with some other individuals at the hospital. Those pictures were posted by an Anonymous source late last evening. Do you care to elaborate”?

“Yes, those individuals are our closest friends. Two of our friends got hurt and we were there as all close friends do in most cases I assume”.

“I see. Well thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule for this interview it is very much appreciated. And this concludes our interview”.

She looked at the man and he nodded and began packing up.
“Mr Cavanaugh you’re extremely handsome. Your girlfriend is extremely lucky”.

“Oh, she knows. If you’ll kindly excuse me, I have a meeting to attend”.

“Oh of course once again Thank you”.

I left them in the board room packing up their equipment and headed back to my office. Once there I took a seat and made some calls. It was close to lunch when Aleck walked in and sat down.

“I bought the house. Eight bedrooms, it’s perfect for us. I want to take her home Dean I don’t want her staying in that hospital. We can get an inhouse nurse for her we can afford it, and I know mom and dad will agree”.

“Okay. Have Mac vet the security detail for the house. We’ll visit the hospital after work and talk to the doctor”.

He just nodded. I couldn’t eat lunch because I lost my appetite. My mind was on her. We ended the day at five and headed straight to the hospital. I saw Deigo, he came over to us.

“Boss there was a young man here trying to see her, but I didn’t let him in. he left but not before threatening to call the police. There have been no changes in her situation. Your parents have been here, but they didn’t go in they just asked if there were any issues. They went to see the doctor and speak to him about releasing her to go home and for a nurse. They said to inform you if you showed up. They are probably still in the hospital”.

“Thank you. That’s why we are here”.

“Boss if I may suggest. We haven’t found any traces or clues of the person that hurt her any you cannot trust whoever the nurse is that will remain with her daily, if that person gets to the nurse she may hurt her. My sister is a nurse, and she can be trusted to take care of the Ms in your presence and in your absence”.

“Get your sister to come over. Also contact Hilda the house help, she’s trustworthy and will take care of everything” Aleck said looking at him.

“Yes Boss”.

We headed towards the doctor’s office. Our parents were just leaving.

“We already have a trustworthy nurse to care for her. Deigo’s sister” I said

“Okay. Will you be taking her back to the apartment”?

“No, we bought a house. You and dad will stay with us until she’s better. Hilda will return”.

“Okay then. It seems you boys know what needs to be done. Did Mac find anything”? Dad asked

“Nothing but, we won’t stop until we find who it is” I said looking at him.

At eight that evening we went over to the house and began setting up. Aleck had the idea to pre order everything and had asked Nella and Mallory to pack up our apartment. Everything was brought over. Everyone was here and helping. There were enough rooms. we gave them a room each for whenever they visited. Rea wasn’t here she was still in the hospital.

We were sitting outside on the patio. Hilda came over and started preparing the room on the ground floor for her. The house was fully furnished it was just our personal stuff that needed to be put away. We were relaxing when I saw Hilda Walk out with the woman.

“Mr Cavanaugh this is Marcella she said she has an appointment”

I didn’t know her. I guess she understood.

“Mr Cavanaugh. My name is Marcella James. My Brother Deigo said you would like to speak to me”.
