The First Kiss

Crystal continued, ignoring the shock in his aura, "Throughout my life, I have never experienced love without giving it in return. Even my own parents were absent, denying me the unconditional love that everyone deserves. And you, too, have a fractured relationship with your father. So, if there's a chance for both of us to find happiness, why do you resist it? Can't you see the immense difficulty I've faced in accepting this world of mates and faeries and all the other extraordinary things? And yet, here I stand before you, baring my soul, because I can no longer contain these feelings. Yet, you persist in keeping your feelings to yourself."

Crystal's grip on Ambrose's collar slowly loosened as she realized the intensity of her actions. Her chest rose and fell with each breath, her eyes locked with his, searching for a response.

Ambrose, his eyes filled with a mixture of surprise and contemplation, remained silent for a moment.

A whirlwind of emotions swirled within Crystal's mind. Doubt and uncertainty crept in, causing her to question whether she had gone too far. But deep down, she knew that her outburst was a culmination of suppressed emotions, those emotions she was unaware of all this time.

"Someone told me that it is not wrong to love and be loved, and you know what else that someone told me?" Crystal's voice trembled with raw emotion as she held Ambrose's gaze. She took a deep breath and continued, "That it was I who made you the only one to remember me. It was I who chose that you shall be the one to remember me because I couldn't bear the thought of you forgetting about me."

Ambrose stood there, stunned and speechless. His mind raced, trying to comprehend the weight of Crystal's confession. The realization washed over him, stirring a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.

"Why?" Ambrose managed to choke out, his voice filled with a mixture of disbelief and longing.

His mind reeled with the revelation. All those lingering doubts and unanswered questions had haunted him for years, tormenting his soul. He had grown accustomed to the lonely burden of being the sole keeper of their shared memories.

Madonia had always been shrouded in mystery. Her sudden disappearance had left a void in his life, one that he couldn't comprehend. He had questioned his sanity, doubted the authenticity of their connection, and wondered if he had conjured her existence in his imagination.

And now finally each and every question of his was answered.

Crystal's voice trembled as she spoke, "I don't know the reason yet. My memories are still lost to me. But it tells me how much you meant to me. It's powerful enough to make me want to uncover the truth."

As Crystal attempted to pull her hands away from Ambrose's grasp while looking defeated, he held on firmly, his gaze piercing into her eyes. His voice was filled with a mixture of anticipation and trepidation as he uttered, "Once you remember the entirety of the truth, Crystal, you will come to harbor a deep animosity towards me. It will permeate to the very depths of your being, and I am afraid I will be unable to withstand it. The consequences could be tumultuous, unraveling chaos from within me."

Crystal's breath caught in her throat as she absorbed the raw sincerity in his words. She couldn't believe what she was hearing or seeing—the unwavering determination in Ambrose's eyes, his willingness to unravel everything for her sake. It was a revelation that left her both stunned and intrigued.

Crystal's voice resonated with unwavering conviction, "Never, Ambrose, never in a million years would I ever hate you. The love I feel for you is so intense, so powerful, that it surpasses any notion of hatred. The connection between us, the bond that draws me closer to you, tells me that you are deserving of nothing but love and understanding. No one else but you deserve such unwavering devotion."

Ambrose's red-orange eyes, once filled with determination and anticipation, now flickered with a newfound timidity. A blush slowly crept from his neck to his cheeks, adding a touch of vulnerability to his demeanor. Crystal couldn't resist the magnetic pull she felt towards him, the irresistible urge to pull him closer by his collar that she still had a firm grip on.

And in that charged moment, their lips collided, igniting an electric surge that coursed through their bodies. It was as if their twin flame bond was forging something even more profound and extraordinary.

But the exhilaration was short-lived. In a swift and unexpected motion, Ambrose abruptly pushed Crystal away, causing her to look at him with a mix of disbelief and hurt etched on her face.

Ambrose's voice trembled with a mix of surprise and concern, "Cry-- Crystal! What are you doing? We-- we have not yet entered into the sacred bond of marriage." His words hung in the air, echoing with a hint of restraint and propriety.

Crystal blinked, her lashes fluttering in confusion. The hurt that had momentarily clouded her face dissipated as she pieced together the puzzle. It dawned on her that Ambrose's reaction stemmed not from rejection, but rather from the deeply ingrained principles and customs of the Fae Kingdom. He was a conservative soul, bound by traditions and formalities.

A mischievous smile tugged at the corners of Crystal's lips as she regained her composure. In that moment, she decided to playfully test the boundaries and tease him.

Crystal's voice was filled with feigned innocence as she asked, "So you want to marry me?" She widened her eyes, her expression so pure and innocent that Ambrose couldn't help but misunderstand she actually had taken his words as a genuine proposal of marriage. He interjected hastily, "No! Not at all."

She immediately transformed her face into one of hurt, averting her gaze from Ambrose and emitting a soft sniffle, as if on the verge of tears. "I-- I gave you my first kiss, and you won't marry me?" she uttered, her voice quivering with an imaginary heartbreak.

Ambrose's panic surged as he gently grabbed Crystal's shoulders, desperately searching her eyes for any sign of distress. A pang of guilt tugged at Crystal's heart as she watched his bewildered reaction, but she couldn't resist pushing the boundaries a little further. "I apologize if I gave the wrong impression," he hastily explained. "What I meant to convey is that we are currently focused on our studies and commitments as students, and it may not be the ideal time--"

Before he could finish his sentence, Crystal cut him off, gazing at him with her adorable blue eyes, fluttering them to enhance her cuteness and he finally realized he had inadvertently fallen into her trap. "So you're saying that you'll marry me once we graduate from the academy?" Her sudden shift in demeanor left Ambrose momentarily speechless, and he understood that the drama queen had successfully played her game.

Ambrose couldn't let Crystal's playful words slide without a response. He interjected, his tone laced with amusement, "I said so, and you can't fool me annoty further. I've seen yo har mischievous nature shining through your eyes. Don't go putt nog words of marriage into my mouth." With a smug grin, he confidently stepped away from her, relishing in the banter.

Crystal rolled her eyes playfully, refusing to back down. She countered, "Well, on Earth, people have babies without getting married all the time. So, if you're not up for marriage, I don't mind. We can just have a-- shall we say, explicit relationship?" Her mischievous smile grew wider as she saw the shock registering on Ambrose's face. She couldn't help but tease him further.

Ambrose choked on his words once again, unable to believe what he was hearing. He wanted to reprimand her for her shameless suggestion, but the love he felt for her held him back. He swallowed his words, trying to regain his composure, while Crystal chuckled, walking closer to him. Her gaze turned seductive, her eyes locking with his, as she aimed to captivate him with her irresistible charm.

"Will you stop with your antics!" Ambrose exclaimed, his voice betraying a mixture of frustration and longing. His resistance was crumbling under the weight of his emotions. Crystal simply chuckled, her eyes locked with his, radiating mischief and affection.

"Why is it so bad to share a kiss when you are so in love with me?" Crystal pressed, her voice laced with both curiosity and desire. Ambrose swallowed hard, his throat dry, and shook his head. "I never said so," he replied, his words tinged with both denial and yearning.

Crystal smirked, a glint of mischief in her eyes, as she leaned in closer. "Your eyes tell me otherwise, Ambrose," she whispered, her breath warm against his skin. "They say you love me very dearly. Even more than I could ever deserve."

Ambrose shook his head in disbelief, his heart pounding in his chest. "Crystal, you deserve everything in the world," he confessed, his voice filled with sincerity and adoration. He widened his eyes, realizing he had fallen into her playful trap as she continued to test the boundaries of their connection.

"Then what about you?" Crystal's voice hushed, her eyes searching his for a genuine answer. "If I were to let go of everything I deserve, would I be able to deserve your love then?"

Ambrose's eyes softened, the walls he had built around his heart crumbling in the face of Crystal's vulnerability. He sighed, stepping closer to her, his arms wrapping around her in a warm embrace. "You don't need to let go of anything," he murmured, his voice filled with tenderness. "You deserve more than just my love."

Crystal's expression transformed, a blend of surprise and adoration gracing her features. She looked up at Ambrose, her chin resting against his chest, and asked, her eyes sparkling with hope, "Then do I deserve a kiss as well?"

Flustered to his core, Ambrose's heart raced in his chest, but this time, he didn't push Crystal away. She deserved everything he had to offer, and a kiss was a mere token of the love he held for her. With hesitant yet determined movements, he lowered his head, capturing Crystal's lips in a breathtaking kiss.

Time seemed to stand still as their lips met, a blend of longing, passion, and tenderness intertwining in that single moment. Their embrace held the weight of unspoken promises and a future filled with love and acceptance.

In that beautiful kiss, Ambrose and Crystal sealed their bond, letting go of their doubts and fears, and embracing the profound connection that had blossomed between them. Their journey was just beginning, but in that stolen moment, they knew that love would guide them through every obstacle, and together, they would create a future where their hearts would forever be intertwined.

But unbeknownst to them, their intimate moment was witnessed by Aurelius, whose heart shattered into millions of pieces at the sight. Hidden in the shadows, he watched as Ambrose and Crystal shared a passionate kiss, a scene that tore at his very core.
