Take Refuge on Earth
Although Madonia possessed immense power over any other faerie, but the Fae crown Nimbosus wore amplified its bearer abilities ten folds, granting him control over even the strongest beings.
With a determined gaze, he gently took his daughter from Marcella's arms, a mixture of love and sorrow in his eyes. As he closed his eyes, a radiant beam of light emerged from the depths of his crown, enveloping Madonia in its ethereal glow.
Through the ancient words of power he said the spell, "Obliviscere omnium memoriarum tuarum et crea novas." The incantation resonated with the very essence of creation and transformation, weaving its enchantment into the fabric of Madonia's being.
Memories, both cherished and painful in Madonia's young mind, began to dissolve, making way for a clean slate upon which new experiences would be written but it was going to take a while as even with his powers getting ten folds with the Fae Crown, Nimbosus was not as powerful as Madonia.
And alongside, once Madonia would lose her memories, everyone along with her in that very Kingdom would forget everything about her as well, every small detail related to her.
Simultaneously, his voice rang out with unwavering authority, commanding the forces of the Dragon King and her majestic kin. His words carried the weight of his royal lineage and the responsibility of a ruler. "As the King of the Fae Kingdom, I command, on behalf of your master, that you, Dragon King, shall be brought down to the ground, along with all other dragons and the spree you began shall break this instant."
In response, a tremor rippled through the skies as the dragons felt an irresistible force compelling them to descend. Their wings, once soaring through the heavens, now surrendered to the King's decree, rendering them earthbound.
Nimbosus gently placed Madonia back into Marcella's arms, his touch filled with love and determination. As he did so, he pressed a small, shimmering sphere into her hand.
It crackled with the raw energy of a storm. Marcella looked down at the sphere, her heart heavy with sorrow and unshed tears.
Suddenly, the doors that had shielded them from the chaos outside were violently thrust open, shattering the calm sanctuary they had briefly found. Nimbosus's eyes darted towards the commotion, urgency etched on his face.
With a steadfast voice, he urged Marcella, "Hurry, Marcella! There is no time to spare. Take Madonia and seek refuge on Earth and I shall love you until my last breath."
Marcella clutched the storm sphere tightly, her fingers trembling. She gazed at Nimbosus, her love evident in her tear-filled eyes. With a nod, she turned towards the portal, Madonia held securely in her embrace.
Meanwhile, Nimbosus positioned himself at the opposite side of the room, his eyes blazing with resolve. He stood as a guardian, ready to confront the raging faeries who were now storming through the shattered doors.
In his heart, he carried the weight of the kingdom and the safety of his loved ones.
As Nimbosus valiantly fought against the oncoming faeries, he made a conscious effort to ensure that none of his opponents were harmed. Despite possessing the power to strike them down, he chose a path of compassion and restraint, refusing to succumb to the darkness that surrounded him.
Meanwhile, Marcella stood at the threshold of a weary hut, its interior shrouded in darkness. She looked down at the storm sphere cradled in her palm. Her gaze shifted to Madonia, her heart heavy with uncertainty and guilt.
Taking a deep breath, Marcella closed her eyes, a surge of determination coursing through her veins. In that moment, a second sphere materialized in her hand, radiating a gentle, ethereal light.
The storm and light spheres would become icons, and raise their daughter for them until the right time arrives.
With a mixture of guilt and conviction, Marcella knew that she had to make a sacrifice. She understood that Nimbosus, in his selflessness, would willingly give his life to protect their family and the kingdom they held dear.
Yet, Marcella couldn't bear the thought of seeking refuge and safety while her husband faced the perils alone.
As Marcella watched her daughter vanish into the portal, accompanied by the spheres that would serve as guiding icons, her heart ached with a mixture of hope and trepidation.
Without hesitation, she turned on her heels, determination blazing in her eyes, and sprinted towards her husband's side.
With a surge of light power emanating from her, Marcella blocked a faerie who was stealthily closing in on Nimbosus. In a swift and forceful motion, she sent the intruder crashing to the ground, the impact resonating with a resounding thud. The faerie, momentarily dazed, struggled to comprehend what had just transpired.
Nimbosus, his focus momentarily diverted from the intense battle, turned to face Marcella with a mix of surprise and concern etched upon his face.
His voice, laced with urgency, echoed through the chaos surrounding them. "Marcella, what are you doing here? It is not safe. You must not harm our subjects. And where is Madonia."
As Marcella's light powers struck another faerie, she seized the opportunity to convey her concerns to Nimbosus amidst the chaos of battle. Her words cut through the air with a mix of determination and anguish.
"Madonia is safe, Nimbosus," Marcella declared, her voice laced with both relief and a tinge of sorrow. "But I could not bear to step foot across that portal, knowing you would face these despicable faeries alone. They are not your subjects; they are monsters."
Nimbosus, his attention refocused on the immediate threat before them, wrestled with the weight of Marcella's words.
His brow furrowed in contemplation, the tumult of emotions swirling within him. He had believed that by seeking refuge on Earth, Marcella and Madonia would find safety, even if it meant parting ways with his own life.
But now, with Marcella standing resolute by his side, his plan wavered.
Glaciem as cunning and cruel as he was, seized the opportune moment when Nimbosus was momentarily distracted. With a malevolent glint in his eyes, he cast a spell, ensnaring Marcella in a frigid grip of ice. Nimbosus's heart skipped a beat as he witnessed his beloved wife being held captive.
Rage surged through Nimbosus and with a thunderous roar, he summoned the full force of his storm powers, shattering the ice that encased Marcella.
But before the two could regain their composure, a swift and cunning faerie seized the opportunity to knock the Fae Crown from Nimbosus's head, casting him into a vulnerable state.
Glaciem, driven by his insatiable lust for power, saw his chance to strike. He led the charge alongside the other faeries, their combined strength overwhelming Nimbosus. The king groaned in agony as blow after blow rained upon him, his body battered and bruised.
Marcella tried desperately to break free from the chaos. She unleashed her light powers, striking out at the faeries that surrounded them, but her efforts were futile against their sheer numbers.
Glaciem, consumed by his thirst for the throne, remained indifferent to Marcella's misery. His heart, once filled with love for her, had turned cold and callous in the pursuit of his ambitions. The power he coveted overshadowed any remnants of compassion or remorse.
