Young Love 2
Ambrose's eyes widened in awe as he gazed upon the majestic Dragon King, her rooster-like head crowned with vibrant maroon scales that shimmered in the sunlight. The enormity of her presence filled the air, and Ambrose couldn't help but feel a mixture of fear and fascination coursing through his veins.
Madonia, ever perceptive, sensed Ambrose's unease and stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Ambrose, meet my old friend, the Dragon King," she said with a warm smile. "Do not worry, she may appear intimidating, but she certainly is a gentle soul."
Ambrose swallowed nervously, his gaze shifting between Madonia and the formidable Dragon King. The Dragon King's eyes, filled with wisdom and ancient knowledge, seemed to peer into Ambrose's very soul, causing his heart to race.
"Greetings, Dragon King," Ambrose managed to stammer while doing the fae greeting, his voice barely above a whisper. The Dragon King inclined her head ever so slightly, acknowledging his greeting.
"She is saying that it is an honor to finally meet you," Madonia who was able to speak to different creatures spoke what the Dragon King wanted to, and Ambrose looked at her quite astonished.
Ambrose's fear began to dissipate, replaced by a growing curiosity and admiration. He took a tentative step closer to the Dragon King, his eyes filled with wonder. "Thank you, Dragon King," he replied, his voice gaining confidence. "Madonia had always told me about her bonded dragon. It is an honor to meet you as well."
Madonia, unable to contain her mischievous nature, interjected with a playful grin. "Finally after four years, she had accepted to meet you, Ambrose. Perhaps in another four years, she will truly warm up to you and tell you her name."
Ambrose couldn't help but smile at Madonia's words. He liked how he was one of the few that knew each and everything about her, he even knew about her ability to read emotions that even her parents were not aware of. He was grateful for her and he was fond of her.
...
In the enchanting Garden of Eternal Blossoms, Queen Marcella sat among the vibrant flowers, her ethereal voice resonating through the air as she sang the haunting melody her father had taught her long ago. Ambrose and Madonia, both captivated by the queen's melodic voice, sat beside her, their hearts touched by the beauty of her song.
Ambrose, once filled with resentment towards the royal family, had slowly found his heart softening towards them. Marcella's kind and gentle nature had gradually won him over, dispelling the bitterness he had carried for so long. With each passing day, his desire to protect the royal family from his father's wicked schemes grew stronger.
The harmonious blend of music and nature created an atmosphere of peace and serenity in the garden.
Ambrose and Madonia leaned against the fountain's edge, where a magnificent dragon-shaped sculpture was crafted from cascading water, quite similar to Madonia's bonded dragon, the Dragon King.
As the last note lingered in the air, a hush settled over the garden, allowing the serene atmosphere to seep into their souls and soon Ambrose had to leave as his father was done with his business at the Fae Palace.
Madonia along with her mother was playing with the water of the fountain, making birds and intricate patterns out of it when suddenly, the tranquility was shattered by an unexpected interruption. A figure emerged from the back, stepping into the warm glow of the setting sun.
It was an elderly spring faerie, his once vibrant hair transformed into a silvery white cascade that flowed down to his feet. Lines of wisdom and experience etched deep into his face, his eyes gleaming with a spark of ancient knowledge.
"Greetings, Your Royal Highness," the old faerie spoke, his voice carrying a hint of nostalgia. With a graceful flourish, he performed the traditional fae greeting.
"Verus Flores!" Marcella exclaimed, her voice brimming with excitement. "Your presence always brings such beauty and life to the palace. The flowers flourish under your care."
Verus Flores, the esteemed head of the Flores family, stepped forward. He was the renowned spring faerie, whose mastery over flora was revered throughout the Fae Kingdom. The air around them seemed to shimmer with the essence of blooming flowers just merely by his presence.
"It is my honor instead to be in your presence," he replied, his voice carrying the gentle whispers of the wind. "I take great pleasure in nurturing nature's creations and witnessing their radiance unfold."
As their conversation unfolded, Marcella's attention was drawn to the small faerie standing beside Verus.
Intrigued, Marcella's eyes widened as she studied the young faerie's features who was looking at her and her daughter very intently. "And who do we have here?" Marcella inquired, her voice filled with genuine curiosity.
"Your Royal Highness, may I present to you my great grandson, Aurelius Flores," Verus announced, a touch of paternal affection in his voice. "He has long yearned to experience the wonders of the Garden of Eternal Blossoms, and I thought it fitting to grant his wish today. I hope you do not mind his presence."
Marcella's eyes sparkled with delight as she observed the young faerie before her. "Oh, Verus, how could I ever mind the company of a spirited young faerie?" she replied, her voice brimming with warmth. "You know well how I adore the energy and innocence of our youth."
Aurelius stood tall and proud, and with a polite bow and the fae greeting, he addressed Marcella, his voice filled with youthful exuberance.
"It is an honor to meet you, Your Royal Highness," Aurelius said, his words laced with confidence.
Marcella's smile widened, embracing the young faerie's enthusiasm. "The pleasure is mine, Aurelius," she replied, extending a hand toward him.
With Verus's suggestion to let him play along with the little princess until he was done with his enchantment, Aurelius settled down on the soft grass beside Princess Madonia.
Madonia sensed a peculiar aura surrounding the young faerie, one that puzzled her. Knitting her brows in confusion, she couldn't quite decipher his emotions and thoughts, a rarity for her abilities.
Aurelius, on the other hand, wore a mask of contentment and politeness, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to be in the presence of both the queen and the princess.
However, Madonia's perceptive nature detected a subtle discrepancy between his words and the energy he emitted. There was no trace of malice or ill intent in his aura, but it seemed as though his mind was elsewhere.
Madonia requested her mother to sing the song once again, and the Queen gladly obliged, her voice resonating with the familiar melody that had enchanted their hearts before. As the notes floated through the air, their ethereal vibrations creating a harmonious atmosphere, Madonia's gaze shifted to Aurelius.
As the music reached Aurelius's ears, his demeanor transformed. The admiration in his eyes was palpable, and his previously detached aura seemed to awaken with genuine emotion. It was as if the melody had the power to penetrate the walls he had built around himself, revealing a glimpse of his true feelings.
Madonia's smile widened, as she finally assessed what was going on inside his mind. He was not pure and innocent like other young faeries, instead, he pretended to be polite and grateful like the older ones.
