Something suspicious
Max's POV.
Alex dropped his gaze as he answered, "I did once."
"That was a really scary situation. But that thing couldn't hurt me because it rained that night," he stated.
I listened to everything and then remarked, "I think I should go watch it tonight."
Mr. Alex asked, "Tonight?" "Yes," I answered. "I simply don't want to waste time."
Mr. Alex was quiet at first, then smiled and replied, "as you want, Max."
"If you need backup, I can send several knights with you," he added.
I gave a gentle smile and answered, "There's no need for that, Mr. Alex. I'm sure I'll be able to handle that thing on my own. From your description, I can figure out what it is. Now all I want is to witness it with my own eyes."
Mr. Alex smiled gently and headed to his room. I went to my room and shut the door as well. However, as soon as I stepped inside, I smelled something, and it appeared like someone had entered my room. That aroma is familiar to me.
However, as soon as I stepped inside, I smelled something, and it appeared like someone had entered my room. That aroma is familiar to me. I looked around, but that aroma had taken over my entire room. It's grossing me out right now. Someone has just entered my room to search. However, just four people live here. Three of them were downstairs; the other was Elizabeth.
I murmured, "Elizabeth." She can't truly be here. But, yeah, not even that little girl can be trusted. But I do not know why my heart doesn't want to think that Elizabeth came here.
I stepped out of my house and glanced on all sides. It was quiet as if no one lived here except me. I carefully departed my room and walked over to Elizabeth's room. I'm not sure why I'm so nervous, but I'm a little concerned about my surroundings. I approached the door and reached out my hand to open it. However, I could not do so since I had no words. What I'll say if there's a maid asleep? I let out a sigh. And then turned and walked. However, I was startled to hear a door opening. As soon as I heard the noise, I hid behind a wall and monitored it. I noticed the girl who was downstairs with us, and she had just emerged with a cloth. So her name is Kazia, and she is a deaf girl. I took a glance around and approached her room. I slid open her door a crack to see Elizabeth, but she was blissfully asleep.
When I saw she was sleeping, I hurriedly left and returned to my room. I came here to hunt a monster, but all I'm doing now is suspecting those who requested our help. Whatever it is, I will find it later, regardless of who came here to look for something and what it was they were looking for. I pushed open the window and gazed out. From my room, I could see the sea. I gazed down at the beach; it was so calm, and the waves were smashing on the rocks.
My Hawk began flying and perched on a tree while making noises.
"Kack-kack".
I glanced around with a serious expression on my face. My hawk will quickly alert me if he notices something. I took a step to the side and sat down on the bed. I'm not sure how many times I'll have to wait now. My gaze was drawn to the table suddenly.
Oh, I completely forgot to drink that. I looked at the mug I was holding. Unfortunately, I discovered an insect in the drink.
I narrowed my eyes and walked up to the window, throwing the drink out with an unpleasant expression on my face.
I sat down on the bed with the mug on the table. I'm simply waiting for him to show up.
On the other hand,
Wyiner asked, "Yes, did you send the letter?" Yean answered, "Yes, my lord." "Do you think Maxilin has already reached there, my lord?" Yean asked. "No, I don't think so. If he has already arrived, Alex will undoubtedly write a letter," Wyiner said.
A knight appeared out of nowhere and knocked on the door.
"Yes," replied Wyiner, as he entered the room and continued, "My lord, the father wants to meet you."
I drew my brows together as I heard. Why is he here so suddenly? He rarely comes here, but it's awful today. I said to the knight, "Please, allow him in."
I get a bit tense whenever he appears. Since he is one of my brother's messengers, the more I attempt to hide, the more he seeks to open up.
After a brief moment, the father entered the room, a smile on his face. In his hand, he held a rosary.
