Chapter 12

"Hey" Amir said as he walked Ruma to where the car was, they are on their way home. she had been discharged earlier and Amir was taking her home after assigning some nurses for Ruma who was looking rather scared and unhappy at the same time, she felt scared at every touch she got.

Even when Amir had tried to buckle her seatbelt she resented by nodding her head in the negative, though jimmy had not touched her. she could not get the image of how he had forcefully pushed her to the couch and put hia hand around her waist to pull down her underwear. she felt depressed and was losing her sanity, she wanted to be home with her uncle and aunt who really showed her paternal love.

She leaned on the window while Amir drove away to the mansion with the nurses car behind them "Hey" ruma said as she realised that Amir was talking to her.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he drove into the big golden gate.

"Yes I'm okay" she lied, inside her she felt scared like she had never been before. she wasn't sure if she was the same ruma she knew, the Ruma that fought for her village, the brave Ruma.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Amir said as he banged lightly on the car
window, she was so absent minded that she didn't notice when Amir hopped out of the car.

"Yes "she said as she opened the door calmly as Amir moved away letting her pass, they walked into the house together.

"Amir what happened?" Yasmin said as she sighted Amir and saw how pale Ruma looked.

"Its a long story" Amir said almost in a whisper to Yasmin and she nodded.

"Please allow her stay in your room in the meantime " Amir said and Yasmin nodded as she left with Ruma to her room leaving amir and the nurses alone.

"I want you to make sure she recovers early, get it?" amir said with a straight face to the Nurses who nodded in return.

"And I want to see change's in a week, am I clear?" Amir said and the nurses nodded again.

"you, You're in charge of her therapy section. am I clear?" he said to a short nurse who was neatly dressed in her white uniform and her long socks.

"OK sir I assure you she'll be okay in a week time" the nurse who seemed to be the head nurse said as she shoot daggers at the other nurses who got the message which meant they should comply, for they know how much money they'll get from Amir.

"OK I'll leave you now" Amir said walking upstairs to his sister room,  he knocked lightly on her little pink room door and it was opened immediately by Yasmin.

"How is Ruma?"  Amir asked with worry clear in his expression and voice.

"As you can see she's peacefully asleep" Yasmin said as she walked out with her brother leaving Ruma to sleep peacefully.

"Amir I know you, why this sudden affection?" his sister said as they both rested their body on the railings.

"I feel pity for her that's all, and as you know its all my fault that she's in this situation" he said as he tightened his grip on the railings.

"Amir you care about no one except your friends and family, so why do you care about a girl whom you hate?" Yasmin asked as she searched her brother's face for answers.

"I know what you're getting at and I'm pretty sure you don't want to get on my nerves with these questions of yours" he said with irritation in his voice. he knows himself well and he knows he cares not about her, he only felt pity and nothing more.

"please go stay with her, she might wake up with a shock again" he said to her before walking away stylishly to his room while Yasmin on the other hand walked to her room where she found Ruma fully awake and sited on the bed holding Yasmin's biology textbook.

"you know how to read?" Yasmin asked with a surprised expression written all over her face.

"yes I do" Ruma said as she dropped the book on the shelf .

"I ain't that much of a village Girl, you know ?" ruma said as though she was scared and forced to speak.

"you aren't?" Yasmin said sitting adjacent to ruma who looked rather disturbed by something and Yasmin could see it but she decided to let her be and not push any buttons which will bring back unpleasant thought.

"My mum and dad  had died and that's why I was made to stay in the village but before going there I was learned and I could also speak English and I could also read and write and I also continued my education in the village after wards" Ruma said as she crossed her legs on the bed with Yasmin sitting close to her in the same posture.

"Wow, that means you're done with high school?" Yasmin asked and ruma shook her head with a smile and so did Yasmin.

"wow would you look at the time, its time for magrib" Yasmin said as she stood up and ruma did the same.

"we can share the bathroom, its big enough" Yasmin said as she turned the tap onn and started performing her ablution while ruma took the shower side and performed Ablution. After some minute of performing ablution they were done and ready to pray to their Rabb (lord) as Yasmin laid the mat, they both stood on it and began to pray.

They stood on the mat praying for long and finally after a while they were done and seated on the mat as they removed their hijabs "you need something to wear, like nighties" Yasmin said as she stood up and went to her closet were she brought few of her nighties which she expected ruma to chose from and she did. she took the long gown covered in polka dot, she wore it immediately and sat on the bed as Yasmin sat beside her in her own night gown.

"I think we should go down for dinner" Yasmin said and Ruma immediately stood up for she was famished, in the blink of an eye the were downstairs and there sat Amir with his laptop on the dinning table and he was swiftly typing away on it.

"oh you guys are here?" he said rather than a question than a statement and Yasmin gave him a confused look as she drew a chair and sat so did Ruma who hesitated at first but when amir signaled her to. she sat on the dinner chair with no exemption as she started eating calmly and that was how it went.
