Truth
MALCOLM
The blood was not all mine, but I was in pain, dehydrated, half starved to death. I heard who I presume is my little brother ask lacey to do the blood spell again for Micaiah and that is when I remembered what she told me.
“It will not work.” I breathed out low, but I knew they heard as their eyes snapped to me. “What do you mean it will not work.” Another male asked. “It only works on those connected by blood.” “It will Malcolm she is our sister.” I did not have much energy left, “I know she is but not by blood, she told me herself after a few days in that hell hole after she finally woke up from being tortured.”
I heard a powerful growl I am guessing he is her mate and the Alpha. “I will explain all I as soon as I can,” I then slipped into the darkness after knowing I am back with my mate, the love of my life.
MICAIAH
I lost track of the days; I have no clue how long I have been here. The beatings are wearing my body down, but I will not break. I figured out what the Goddess I mean my birthmother meant by her revealing the truth would help with the current situation. I could not talk to Malcolm because we were never alone. The last time we were alone is when I fainted from the first beating, so I hatched a plan.
One of the guards came in for my daily beating. Whips, chains, knives, so unoriginal but they beat until well after I bled like usual. I then let my head fall forward and closed my eyes. I slowed my breathing just enough to make them believe. “Looks like she finally passed out again.” One of the guards muttered to another guard. They then carried me back to my cell, throwing me to my bed like I was a corpse. I could not flinch I needed them to believe I was passed out and hopefully they would leave me alone with Malcolm.
“Come on, lets go eat. She is passed out and he is to weak for his own good.” One of the guards said, they were so arrogant but thank the goddess for that. I then heard the iron door slam shut. “Malcolm, is it clear,” I whispered to where only he could hear me. “You are tricky, but yes they are gone.” I raised up to be able to face Malcolm. “Listen there is something I need to talk to you about and I need you to listen.” He nodded in response. “I am not your sister by blood, basically I was kind of adopted.”
By the time I finished explaining everything Malcolm looked as if I grew two heads. “Listen I know it is a lot to take in but basically the game is in our favor. Do you think if we got you out of here?” “I think I can get far enough to get help, but how Micaiah?” he looked at me with what I thought he no longer had which was hope. “I do not know but whenever I can get a distraction, you need to run for it and not wait for me, get free get help, get back to your mate, she needs you.” He only nodded and I laid back down as we heard keys entering the iron door.
“I see the little bitch is waking up,” my eyes were closed I had no clue who it was speaking. “what my nephew sees in you I will never know, I should have killed him as a child.” It was his uncle and I felt anger rising in me but I knew this was the opportunity we needed. I heard his footsteps getting closer and the door unlocking to my cell.
