He roared and you could feel the emotion roll off him in waves. He had his eyes set on the Alpha that harmed his soul mate. The Alpha fell back at his transformation, his eyes were full of fear. He was shaking as Malcolm walked his way. no words had to be spoken the Alpha knew him touching Lacey sent Malcolm over the edge and at this moment he was regretting that very action. Being a Lycan he could speak in both forms without using a mind link.

“You are a fool, a coward, a pathetic excuse of an Alpha. You dare harm the one I love most. If you were not as ignorant as you are, you would see the prophecy never changed old man. I am your end.” Without letting another second pass, Malcolm grabbed the Alpha by his throat lifting him off the ground until he was eye to eye with him and squeezed the life out of him. He crushed his throat in his bare hand and watched as the life left him. he threw the Alpha to the side like the trash he was. Dylan and Shawn had freed the others being held. EJ grabbed the bags they left in the woods throwing sweat to Malcolm who shifted and changed. He went to his mate holding her tightly to his chest as she to was barley breathing.

I too was holding my mate as his chest was barely moving. I could hear his heart rate getting more faint by each passing second. The tears fell from my eyes unable to hold them in any longer. Looking at my mate, looking at Malcolm and Lacey. They gave their lives to save us. Why is fate so cruel, why is fate so harsh to those who have hearts of gold. I began talking whether there was anyone listening or not. “I am so sorry my love. First Jake and Cammy, then you and Lacey. It seems everyone I love is dying. Why? Please do not leave me Maverick, Alaric please do not leave Akiva and I. We need you both please stay with us.

I held him crying into his chest I could not handle the pain of my heart breaking when I faintly heard what sounded like a whisper. I looked at the others and they too looking around showing me I was not hearing things; someone was trying to communicate with me. Then I heard it, a man’s voice, “Micaiah, remember.” I was even more confused. There was no one in sight but someone was clearing speaking to me. “Micaiah, remember who you truly are.” Then it hit me. I am not who I thought. I am the daughter of the moon goddess and the sun god. I am not your ordinary wolf.

Malcolm carried Lacey over to me and laid her by Maverick. Crying in his own lost but there is something inside me wanting out, a power I have never felt before. I looked up and noticed there was an eclipse about to happen, and I felt more powerful than ever. I stood up in between Lacey and Maverick holding my hands over both of them. The others staring at me in complete confusion which I do not blame them I was also confused but somehow, I knew I could bring them back.

As my hands were held over their bodies, I thought of the love I had for both of them. Lacey, my protector. She said my mate, she saved me. She was the levelheaded warrior keeping us all calm and when she spoke of Malcolm the love in her eyes and in her words was inspiring.

My mate: The crazy Alpha who did not know how to show emotions correctly, neither did I. The way his eyes sparkled when he looked at me with such care and adoration. The way he always tried even when I was being hard-headed. He never gave up on me even when I was an ass. He stood by me and made sure no matter what to show me he cared.
