Chapter 35

"When we kill you there will be no hope of that young frost becoming king and their clan will be completely weakened! It will be easier for us to overthrow them with those treacherous wolves!"
"Idiots! Do you really think that your suspicion will happen? Even if you kill me, he will still be king!"
"Shut up!" They rushed at me quickly, growling with their eyes blasting like a fire. I tried my best to dodge all their attacks as I move faster using my ability. On repeated occasions I have read their actions and I almost know where they will attack or which direction they are going. When the other one was about to attack I preceded him and was quickly thrown to the ground, he groaned in pain as I faced the other one and in one perfect timing with one swift move I grabbed his neck and heartlessly twist it. I quickly let go of its lifeless body but I was not prepared for another attack, he quickly hit me on my back which in turn knocked me to the ground. I can still feel the sharpness of his nails dudge on my flesh that caused an unbearable scorching pain that made my lips dry and my throat burn in heat and painful feeling of being smashed to death.
"You're not strong enough to satisfy me but thanks for a great fight." I feel him approaching me quickly, I can still predict his movement but I am at my weak point in this moment to even move a bit. I'm struggling from this dangerous pain, like its slowly taking my life away from me.
When I felt that he was going to attack me, I suddenly realized that there was a fast wind in the middle that seemed to be protecting me.
How dare you to hurt her. & A deep cold venomous voice filled my ears. I never heard the voice of that wolf again, only his groan in pain, as if he was having a hard time. I cough several times and gasp for air. My vision become blurred, not as clear as before I got into this mess. Even before I lost my balance in standing and fell where I was, there were arms wrapped around my body as I floated in the air with his arm lifting my body.
& Sorry I'm late reign, I'm sorry. Hold on, you'll be safe. & I didn't pay attention to what he said, I was so consumed by the pain that even my hearing was too weak. It was like darkness swallowing me until I become ashes. It was like the world is going to be fall in a red terrifying liquid that no one could ever crashed at its surface. It was like hell.
For the first time in my life I felt fear, a different kind of fear like I don't want to die yet because of something unfinished. No, not now, I struggle to stay awake even if its too painful to bear. I didn't close my eyes, because I feel like when I close my eyes, I won't be able to open it again, ever.
I don"t know where we are, I heard worried voices but I end up shutting down my sense of hearing in order for me not to hear their complains, terrfied voice, worries, cries, and some emotions I don"t want to name.
I felt my back landed on a soft warm kind of bed, I remained staring at nowhere while coughing out of any minute.
"Reign look at me" That was the words filled my ears, later on I choose to do what he told me.
I'm just stupid for him, His face is firm with the mixture of different emotions I couldn't name.
He raised his hand so I had a chance to see it covered by blood.
I also had a chance to noticed his shirts where blood scattered on every part of it. Is it mine? Or from that wolf he terminated.
He quickly used his sharp fingernail to injure his wrist and put it in my mouth.
The kind of unexplainable aroma filled my nose as something cold touches my lips down on my mouth.
"Come on, drink it. You need to drink it."
I closed my eyes as I drink it, in just swift move I am now holding his arm tightly pressed on my lips with my fangs on his flesh drinkinhg like I haven't drink for years and the taste is satisfying and addicting. I can't get enough of it and end up wanting for more.
I heard his cough, when I opened my eyes I saw him looking up and the veins in his neck, I immediately let go of his arm and slowly got up.
He approached me and using his clothes wiped it on my lips, I wasn't looking at him, I am looking at nowhere while he was busy wiping bloods scattered on my face and mouth.
"I don't know what to do to you anymore, Reign. Should I chain you to me?"
"Reign! O my God! That was a dangerous act! My goodness gracious! I will faint in remembrance of you!" Katelyn hugged me as she cried in my shoulder.
"Sage, why did you let her go around alone! You supposed to look after her." Selene shouted loudly at the sage, she's upset. This is her otherside that no one could dare to face at.
"You're really careless, what the heck are you doing!" At once he turned in one direction and only now did I see Luna, who was silent in a corner and slightly bent over, next to him was Hage who was just looking at me seriously.
"Shut up Selene, you don't know what I'm fvcking doing so shut up okay?" Sage answered calmly but firmly.
"I don't think so sage, it's better for Reign to stay at home first, to be better guarded and to make sure no one hurts him anymore, I lost my trust in you, you can't protect him."
"No, I won't let you selene, she's mine."
"Oh really should I let her choose where to be with?" selene replied sarcastically.
"Reign, come with me." I didn't answer, I avoided what Sage was doing which shocked and stunned me.
"I-I'm okay .." I tapped katelyn's shoulder as I stand up and walk towards selene, she smiled at me and I nodded. When I look back at Sage, he was staring at me with his eyes asking.
"Thank you, sage but I will go with selene." after I said that, luna turned around and her face lit up looking at me. I nodded to her as I turned my back to them.
"Reign." I stopped when I heard that from Sage but I ignored it yet.
"Zeus, Katelyn support her."
"Are you okay now reign?"
"Yes."
"Reign and do that again, before you die I'll be ahead of you."
& Shut up katelyn ang oa mo. &
Before we could go out I turned slightly and I saw sage still looking at me, the emotion on his face was gradually disappearing.
It's better to be this way sage, I know you're having a hard time, and I'm also having a hard time, maybe you can't really insist on what you can't.
Leaving is the best thing to do in this situation, because sometimes it is not leaving that hurts the most but staying is.
I wasn't around at school for 3 days. Selene didn't let me for her reason that I need to rest.
I don't know what's going on, I don't understand, even my self, I can't understand everything or maybe I just don't really want to understand.
"Reign?"
"Who is Luna in sage's life?" Out of nowhere I asked, I knew he was surprised and even I was surprised by what I asked. I stood quietly here on the veranda of his house, the fresh air filled my nose that made me love it here outside. The beautiful view of the surroundings saturates my eyes cause I no longer notice the passage of time.
It's afternoon, and the sun is about to set, the warm light of it touches my face, the sky is orange and the strange feeling it brings is amazing.
"Neevermind selene, I am just curious about her role in sage's life."
"You love sage right?"
"No"
"Word can be filtered but don't forget that eyes speak whatever heart and mouth can't say"
I haven"t talked about that yet.
"You selene do you have mate?"
"Of course, every vampires have one."
"Where is he?"
"Yet to come."
"You're aging."
"I know but I don't know why until now there is still nothing."
"You know reign, it's not hard to wait, the hard part is to think if someone is coming. I can wait for my mate, even if I'm 100 years old."
"I hope everyone could wait even if they don't have any assurance with."

"Is there something you haven't told me yet?" he suddenly fell silent.

"I'm sorry reign." I stopped talking. Suddenly his phone rang causing him to leave me there and go back inside.
I looked again at the sun now that it was much lower.
I am like how the day breaks and the night fall. It breaks even if it doesn't fall and falls but it doesn't break. But I know deep inside me there is a reduction. It is disappearing more and more and it will be difficult to get it back.
As my mind became more filled with questions, why did my personality seem to be such a huge question mark? Why does it seem like I don't even know myself anymore? Too many questions but no one is willing to give an answer.
I accidentally drifted my eyes in one direction and I was a little surprised to see him again.
Is he another? What does he need from me, why do I always know he sees? he is my shadow, always there where I am.
In the blink of an eye, the speed of his disappearance was the same, I shook my head and went inside to take a bath and went down as well.
I caught up with selene in the kitchen preparing our dinner.

"It will make us aggressive, and out of control."
"Okay."
"We called it a Vampire's moon, because its two ends are pointed and shaped like vampire fangs and you will also notice the red stain on it that looks like blood."
"Weird."
"Weird but true."
I calmed down and started eating. After we ate, we went into the bedroom and slept.
"He's just using you."
I woke up in a place where I could see nothing but smoke, too thick white smoke. I can only hear is a woman's voice.
"He won't love you."
I turned left and right, but I couldn"t see him, I tried to speak, but I couldn"t, I tried to walk but I seemed to be stuck to where I was and I couldn"t get away I struggle to move but end up disappointed.
"He don't care."
who is he! and who is referring to niys, I screamed but I remained voiceless.
"He's a heartless."
Gradually I felt pain in my back. I struggle to touch it, a liquid escape my eyes for a pain that I couldn't endure.
"Leave him."
His voice grew louder that I could almost deafen it but the more deafening the pain I felt.
"Leave reign."
With thst a maximum pain made me screamed louder.
Suddenly I woke up while catching my breath, I rubbed my back because I felt that the pain was real that until now I still feel, my sweat dripping all over my face and even my neck.
Nightmare. Aren't you finished yet? I'm fed up.
I slowly stood up even though I had no slippers, I looked st the wall clock only to find out that its 3 in the morning.
I peeked out the window and saw the darkness around me and only the moon gave light to it.
Selene was right about the moon.
Just a few moments later I suddenly felt strange I quickly closed the curtain and felt myself.
I could feel the color change of my eyes and the release of fangs at the same time the lengthening of my nails. Shit! I am turning into my vampire side again. I'm starting to feel thirsty, I tried my best to endure that and instead of going where I knew it would be quenched, my ability took me in another direction.
The familiar scent filled my nose. I am in his room. I knew I was here. I started to walk near the bedside. As I stares at the man peacefuly sleeping.
I softly traced his face using my sharp nails.
"I hate to say this but ... I love you sage." When I said that, he suddenly found out that he was holding my hand and at the speed of events, I realized that I was already lying on the bed and he was already on top of me. His eyes are now flicked into bloody red.
"If you love me, then why do you choose to leave me?"
"Sage."
"You should stay, stay with me please. I need you to stay and trust me."
"Let go."
He ignored what I said and kissed me hard. I can feel the wound on my lower lip because of his fang hitting it, his kiss is deep, harsh and punishing. I can hardly keep up with that, is he mad?
"I don't want to see you walking away from me," he stopped kissing me as he shut his eyes firmly. I gently touched and caressed his cheek and when he opened his eyes its back to its normal gray color.
"Reign ... Comeback, comeback to me baby please?"
"If you could promise me to stay away from luna, I will."
"Yes, yes, I promise, I promise I'll stay away from him." He replied desperately.
"Good, expect me to be here again."
"Thank you." He kissed me hard on the forehead and came down next to me then hugged me tightly.
"Next time you shouldn't go outside alone at this time okay? Especially when vampire's moon, its dangerous baby, too dangerous."
"I know." I almost whispered the answer because drowsiness was gradually visiting me.
I can't help but to think about letting my self be in here with this demon again, its full of uncertainty am I right for taking risk to be with him?
I was dumbfounded walking down the hall way. Katelyn is nowhere to be found, and I was drawn thinking about my sudden decision.
"Riley,"
"Zeus why?"
"Did you see katelyn?"
"No"
"I see, tss san nanaman kaya yun nagpupunta."
"You admit it? What's wrong with you two?"
"Huh? Of course nothing! I was just wondering, you're not with me, I'm leaving you here."
"Let her, she doesn't have to be with me all the time."
"Hmm okay, but please take care of yourself."
"I will zeus."
"Good."
we were stopped by someone who interrupted us.
He was looking at me with his dar face.
"A-ah go ahead I'll relay first, Sage." it ignored him while I just nodded. I breathed a sigh of relief to see no space around. It's good that it's not like a tail.
"Why?"
"I don't want to see you with other guys, even with my cousin."
"Seriously?"
"Reign, I don't share what's mine." I just nodded at him and walked ahead.
"Are you fvcking serious? How could you ignore me." I could feel his resentment in his voice as I raised an eyebrow and faced him.
"What are you fighting for? When did you learn drama?"
"Since I met you." I was stunned by what he said and was slapped in the face, what did a to eat. He slowly approached me and hugged me. The warmth of his embrace makes me feel safe, I can even hear his heartbeat. This is the otherside of him that only few surely know. Gradually I returned the hug to him and when I looked away from the other pole near us I saw shenlo standing there and looking at me seriously. I frowned and wondered what his purpose was again.
"Are you okay?" I immediately averted my gaze in his direction and frowned as I stared at Sage.
"Can I ask?"
"What is it?"
"Do you know Shenlo Arden?" he seemed surprised when I mentioned that name. The stiffness of his body was obvious and a strange shiver was enveloping his chest, I knew it. He knew something, he knew that woman.
"N-no." Liar. I quickly turned my back on him. Annoying, how long will they keep me from knowing the things I should know? the more they don"t let me know, don"t I have the right?
When Luna was first, is Shenlo done now? Who are they in your life Sage? Who are you really?
I haven't felt his presence yet, so he really chooses not to still go with me just to avoid that name?
You're impossible sage, I can hardly believe the shenlo over there. Just a little bit, just a little mistake.
I entered the room with no appetite and nothing to myself because of the depth of thought. I no longer noticed katelyn staring at me in astonishment.
