56 - That Morning

He moved slowly but Judith waited patiently for him. He even told him to rest and it was up to him to say goodbye to their Team Leader but he did not agree. He needs the money. This is the reason, ‘isn’t it?

He was wearing a thick dress and coat. He is now wrapped from head to toe. He also took medicine but no blade. Maybe Judith was right that she needed to rest. If he did that, what would Gheron think, not— Mr. Winfrith that she is too dramatic and acting?

He is in the Green House. He is accompanied by Judith and Marienella who are artistically removing leaves from plants. He noticed the artistic look at her and when she smiled foolishly.

So he decided to leave the Green House and go to the back where Fidel and some of his fellow men were. Marie just thanked the young man for not approaching her to tease her. They are also busy with a lot of work especially when their Boss is new.

Fidel waved at him and only gave the young man a smile. He has no strength to deal with it. He barely hugged himself. He really feels different. His eyesight was spinning. He looked for something to lean on and felt for himself if he could walk back to the staff house. Her knee was weak and her fever was high. His body was also warm and even though his heat was scorching, he was still cold despite the thickness of his clothes.

"Marie?"

He looked up. He smiled hard at Fidel. "W-why?"

“You are getting pale. I mean, the climate here is really cold so we normally turn pale but yours is different. You, okay? Are you sick?" there was concern in its voice.

He nodded quickly but then shook his head. He was confused by his answer so he rubbed his forehead just to keep it away and became even more worried.

“You have a high fever! You need to rest, Marie. ”

He stopped talking especially and sneezed one after another. Her head hurt and she seemed to cry in pain but she resisted.

"I'll support you." It quickly helped him to his feet.

If at first, he was annoyed with Fidel's presence… In those moments he needed the young man to help him bring him back to the staff house to rest. Judith will take care of him saying goodbye.

Fidel delivered him well. She also asked the man to call Judith and she complied with her request. As he did he closed his eyes for a moment. She was still trembling and her clothes and blanket were not thick enough.

The door to their room opened. He no longer bothered to open his eyes to see who it was. He just closed his eyes while restraining himself ‘don’t get cold.

"J-judith… It's up to you to tell Team Leader…"

"Tsk."

It was too late for him to open his eyes and see who it was. Marie just felt her body float in the air and when she opened her eyes, it hit Gheron's sharp nose exactly. It was as if something had touched his heart. I think he is delusional. It was impossible for the man in front of her to lift her up. He closed his eyes and thought that what he saw was not true. It's just part of his high fever now.

"G-gheron…" he whispered softly. It barely came out of his mouth.

MARIE was surprised when she woke up and a white room met her eyes. His last memory, he was delirious that the young man picked up and after that he could not remember anything next.

When the door opened, the woman she thought was a Doctor entered because of the stethoscope hanging around her neck and the medicine she was carrying.

“How did I get here?”

The female Doctor smiled and said that a man named Fidel took her to a nearby Hospital. He was depressed when he heard the name Fidel. He thought Gheron had brought him.

After the Doctor checked her and saw if her fever had gone down, he told her to rest and her body needed that. Its advice is for him to leave work for a week and rest. He said his body was too stressed and he forgot to take care of it.

That same day, Judith visited him and pretended to cry as if he were going to die. He sighed and said many happy memories of being with him.

“Hey Maria, I already told Team Leader that you are sick. According to that, he said take sick leave first. 1 week raw. If you want to take sick leave for the rest of your life, then don't go back to work. ”

He stretched his back at what he heard. "Really?"

“The joke. You will be amazed! ” Laugh at it. “But the 1-week leave is true. Discard ka kasi. You're so addicted to work and that's it, you're in pain. ”

She was shaken by what Judith said. It's true so he didn't scold her anymore. He just looked out the window and sighed sadly.

“Don't even think about Gheron, Mary. He was happy with the others. You are not the one who touched fafa Gheron's heart, so it's acceptable to be disappointed besh, ”he said artfully and first peeled the orange on the table. “You know sweet‘ tong orange. I first tasted it, eh. Did you taste Gheron too? You say that. ” Then it giggles and swallows a piece. It was still slightly blurred so he laughed too.

"You really look like a timang."

“Because we were asked, eh. What good is fafa Gheron's kiss? ‘Don’t be shy about that!’

She blushed automatically and pretended not to hear what Judith said. It’s up to what you want to think. He didn’t want to think about Gheron first now. She might just be even sadder.

"What now? You don't plan to tell a story there? Kaloka ka naman. ”

“I want to rest, Judith. I will sleep first."

He shrugged. “Hey,‘ cause you can’t sleep. I just eat ‘those fruits here. All right, go to sleep. ‘Don’t forget to wake up, ah?’

He just looked badly at the friend and it just laughed at him. He thought, if he takes sick leave for 1 week. Where is he going? Will he be at the staff house resting all week? Bahala na.

AS their Team Leader said, he will rest all week but not in the staff house. There was a room given to him where he could rest. Fully equipped, from own bathroom and own TV. There was also fruit on the table and some of the food in the cupboard. The will of their Team Leader, he alone should be there to rest. He was far away from his colleagues. He looks like he has a disease that should be avoided if they treat him with TL but it's okay.

He no longer has a fever. So he went back to work. He just has a cold but will he pass and get well. His body was so hard that he knew that just one day of rest would make his body recover.

Fortunately, the large farm was in front of the balcony of his room. Somehow, he felt relieved. It turns out that their TL forbade him to go out. He should just rest all week. He was like a prisoner.

He sat on the balcony and surveyed the vast farm now owned by Gheron. When she remembered the man's name, her heart pounded as if racing horses. He was affected by the situation.

Heartbroken he went inside and prepared something to eat that morning. After he drank milk and ate bread with jam, he took out a book. That's a cooking book. She doesn't like to read any kind of romance book. He was more intrigued if it was a cooking book or political books.
