18 - Beautiful Woman
Back to the private island where Yx once took her when he reached out her hand and decided to accompany her. She felt a sense of calm in her chest as the gentle fresh air touched her skin. She immediately requested that her colleagues take care of her, but first she inquired as to where Jackylyn was. The man only indicated that they would talk later.
When she decided to rest in her room on that island, the bullet had been removed and her shoulder had been bandaged. She was about to remove Hudson's jacket and discard it when she decided to talk to Yx. Her gun was concealed in her waistband in case she discovered Yx is using her. She knew what she was thinking against the man was impossible, but in these moments, she could only trust herself.
"Where's Yx?" she inquired of the colleague she had met on her way to Yx private office.
"He is still speaking with someone. He must not be disturbed."
She looked up at the second floor of the house, unsure whether to confront the questions that were beginning to ruffle her mind or not. She took a step forward as the wind blew her away. It's either now or never.
The door to Yx's office was shut and with sign, 'No Molestar.' She was encircled by an eyeball at the 'Do Not Disturb' sign.
She approached the door and gently turned it open so she could see who he was talking to and possibly enter. It's critical that she speaks up and asks questions. Yx's interlocutor turned its back on her, so she couldn't see the face, and they appeared to be talking seriously.
"What's the next plan?" inquired the interlocutor.
"If Kienne finds out, she'll probably kill me because I'm using her against Hudson."
She backed away, completely stunned. Her suspicions were correct. Yx is the mastermind behind it all. Hudson was correct; she was a tool. But why is that? Why did Yx employ her?!
She wanted to rush in and challenge Yx, but she remembered how Yx helped her get up and rebuild after being destroyed by the man.named Hudson. If anything, Hudson is the reason she's here. But why is that? Why is she there? She assumed she knew, but she didn't. Her secret agency, she reasoned, was pure intent and work. She collected herself and quietly left that place. This is not the time for her to lose sight of what she already knows. She'd had enough of the man she thought she knew.
She tried to sleep that night, but she couldn't sleep no matter what she did. She had a lot of screamed questions in her head, but she couldn't find an answer. Until she heard a faint knock on her door, and she recognized it's Yx.
She opened it and took out an envelope. New responsibility. They went outside to talk on the lanai.
"Jackylyn?" she asked, recalling a friend.
"She's stable, so she has a good chance of waking up without much harm, but it's always difficult to tell with a comatose patient."
She was astounded to learn that her friend was unconscious. She became more relaxed. She wanted to smile when she heard what it said. Actually, it's Yx men nearly killed both her friend and her. After all, she didn't know then, but now she can't think, so she kept quiet about what she knew.
"I'm giving you another task. You didn't protect Doc Hayes—"
"Is he dead?" she inquired flatly. She was hiding behind her mask that could never reveal the true contents of her mind at these times.
"He isn't."
She was not pleased, and she was not comforted by what she heard. She felt more of the pain she had long forgotten, despite the fact that years had passed. Why is she experiencing the agony of being dead for so long again?
"Here," he said, placing the document on the table and leaving her alone.
She couldn't say anything. She just stared at the document, which contained yet another threat to her life. It took a few minutes for her to reach for it and open up.
Willoughby, Theon?
Shee frowned as she read the information and looked at the picture. Why is Theon her next task? What exactly is this? She abruptly stood up and went back to her room to continue reading. When the flesh of her hand became wet, she was able to adjust her hair. She's going to accompany him to Mississippi on business. Private bodyguard, as usual. It doesn't like obvious bodyguards, but does like obvious chikababes and girlfriend material.
She wishes to return to Yx and complain about not giving it to her, despite the fact that Theon and Hudson are friends and cousins. Wait a minute, she smells something foul. She disliked the odor. It appears that Yx is doing this to make her bait, or that it is cursing their family. After all, who isn't envious when it comes to money? She smiled. She's on board.
INSIDE Theon's office, Abhaya sat artfully on the couch. She wants to bother the man because he is too busy to concentrate on what he is doing on his laptop. Fortunately, he didn't silence her when she arrived and introduced herself as his escort. Theon just simply nodded, as if his pig attitude pride had vanished. She just sat at the couch and ignored him. It's been a week since that incident, and she hasn't heard anything negative about Hudson, and who cares? Her shoulder is fine, and it doesn't really matter to her because she's used to pain. She believe she was numb, and that thing was terrifying.
"What the hell! If something bad happens to that patient, I'm going to cut your necks one by one." When Theon answered the phone, he yelled angrily and slammed the table made of expensive and long-lasting wood. The impact caused the equipment to collide.
She smirked. This person's head appears to be very hot, and she appears to want to calm him down by spraying hot water on Theon's head, making it even hotter. She laughed at the absurdity of her thought.
THEY left the man on his private plane later that evening, and she also wanted to finish it and resolve Yx's plan on her own.
"I understand. Take excellent care of Jackylyn. I want her to come out of her coma. I don't care how long it takes, idiots?!" He then turns off the nomenclature on the other line. It simply threw the phone against the wall.
Only the wealthy enjoy causing havoc. She's tired, but Jackylyn, is she really comatose? Abhaya became tense as a result of what she had heard. Is the patient and her friend Jacky the same person? Shit. She sat down and stood up a few seconds later. She walked straight to Theon, slumping with both palms on the table.
"Do you have a picture of that lady?"
"Who?
"Jackylyn."
Theon was taken aback by what she said and appeared unprepared for her interrogation. When presented to her, he showed something on his laptop after a few moments. In bed, unconscious, there she saw Jackylyn. She calmed down. She pretended she didn't know who the woman was. She had no choice but to do it for the sake of herself and her friend.
"You've know her." Theon's statement was unarguable. It locked its gaze on her.
She returned to her seat with a shrug. "No."
Yx, I curse you to hell! You said Jacky was fine, and I assumed she was in your care. At the very least, she's fine with Theon, because I know we're just bait you created.
She sat down again and played with her gun in an artistic manner. Who can she give it to? Should she go to Yx or Hudson?
"Let me ask you," Theon said. The young man was composed and focused on her.
"Shoot!" she exclaimed, pretending to shoot the ball to one side.
"You've been accompanying my fucking cousin Herrence for weeks and..."
"... And?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Can you tell me where he is?"
She could now sit up. What exactly does this mean? What about Hudson? "Nope," she said calmly, playing with the gun in her hand once more.
"Are you familiar with Abhaya?"
She stopped playing with the gun in her hand and stared it down. She notices Theon reading to her and she's forced to hide her emotions. She smiled out of the corner of her eye.
"Who is she?" she asked, looking back. They will stare until one of them gives up.
"Ignore it." Then it stood up and walked away. She was left alone and had no intention of following the young man. Talk about rubbing salt in my wounds!
A visitor entered a few moments later. She took a quick look to see who it was. A stunning woman dressed simply in a large T-shirt and baggy jeans. She wears large glasses and wears her long, curly hair in a ponytail. Nerd, look at it, but she's distracted by the beautiful woman in front of her.
