Damaris childhood flashback
Seven years old me standing in front of my school gate, It's been two weeks since my mother give up to me here in an orphanage, and today is the first day of my school,
I am standing here, looking at children's parents coming and dropping them. Here in school and they hugged them and kisses them too
I tried my best not to sob here
I slowly come into the school and went towards my classroom
It's lunch hour, everyone is eating their homemade food made by their parents, and here I am sitting without a lunch box, I don't want to eat canteen food; I don't like it
Suddenly, a girl came and intentionally pushed me into the mud of the school playground as it is rainy season so wet mud will be there in the school playground
She and her friend started laughing at me my face, my yellow frock, my shoes, and my hair everything is wet with mud
I started crying silently
"Aww, see poor orphan is crying," that girl said mockingly at me making her friends laugh at me
They all go away laughing, and I remain fell there in the mud no one even bothers to help me, everyone goes passing em dirty look across me but no one is helping me
I managed to stand up from that mud and sat on the empty bench of school ground sobbing silently
"Why are you crying" I heard a boy's voice
I looked up slowly and noticed a boy with brown hair and hazel eyes, he is wearing yellow shorts with white shirt looking at me smiling friendly and affectionately he is the same age as mine
"My clothes get dirty in mud on my first day of school, now everyone will make fun of me," I said to him crying
"That's it," he said easily like it's noting and jumped in that mud where I was before
I looked at him shocked and he laughed, looking at my expression
"See, now I am too in mud do you are alone here, we will face everyone together," he said to me cheerfully making me laugh
"Will you be my friend?" he asked me giving his hand which is now dirty in the mud like mine
