I come to the police station as the lawyer approached me
"Hello, Miss Reynolds /......" Just as that lawyer called me this, I quickly interrupted him "Lavender, please call me Miss Lavender" I stated precisely to him, I hate when someone called me, "Reynolds", it remembers me that my dad is a murderer and because of this, My Lucifer hates me now, and that lawyer nodded while peeking at that documents
"He wishes to see you one last time," the lawyer spoke to me; I nodded.
We come into the custody room, and I saw my dad, he is in prisoner clothes and sitting behind the glass wall, his eyes are full of regret and remorse
When he recognized my presence, he stared up and his eyes filled with happiness seeing me, all the sadness vanished away from his eyes just as seeing at me
But, I persist in the cold, impassive face,
"What do you want to talk now," I asked him with a scrowl looking away not looking at him
"Damaris, listen; finally court announced life imprisonment for my sins and I just wish to see my daughter one last time, before this cancer will eat me " he added and I jerked my head towards him shocked as hell
Cancer, he has cancer
"C...Cancer" I mumbled to him
He nodded weakly "when I lost your mother Aanya; that day I realized the pain of losing your loved one, that day, I finally regretted my sins, of planning accident of Lucifer's parents, I want to surrender that day to police, but I got to know that Aanya was pregnant with my child means you, From that day, I decided to search you, but I failed to find you, from that day, I never slept with peace and calm of my mind, because my sins are over me, the burden of behind someone's death was eating me alive, now when I found you, I finally confess my crimes in front of the law, so that they can punish me and with this way; I can repent for my mistakes and sins, I am so sorry my daughter, please; if you can thus seek to forgive your unfortunate father " his voice squeaked at end
I looked at him teary-eyed, he had the guilt of his mistakes, which is enough for me "Dad" I whispered at him, "you know you are a horrible person, the blame of murder is the enormous deal; dad, we have a right to make and create life to someone, but taking that life it is not in our controls, it is at the hands of god, we have no right to take someone's life, I will be very tough for me to forgive you, but I will try, because you have the guilt of your mistakes" I said to him in dried voice and turned around and immediately runs out from that room
I get in corner of the police station and start crying, this is so unbearable for me, Dad is having cancer, I don't even know what to do now, Elvin is in jail, Lucifer hates me and don't want me in his life, but thank God Dylin is fine now if something happened to him when I can never forgive myself
"Miss Lavender" I heard Mr.Campbell my dad's lawyer's voice
I turned around after wiping away my tears
He gives me some documents and papers and a pen to sign them and; I frowned and looked at him, confused.
"What is this Mr.Campbell," I asked him seeing that documents
"These are property transferring will of Mr.Vincent Reynolds, he names his company at your name, now you are an owner of that company and his mansion of Washington DC is now in transferred to his wife, Mrs.Lydia Reynolds and his son Mr. Dylin Reynolds name, and his other mansions and properties in Australia, New- Zealand, California is in your name now which he owned " Mr.Campbell informed me
I looked at that papers; I know what I have to do now, I looked up at Mr.Campbell "Mr.Campbell, can you help me "

My hands are shivering like hell, my body is filled with uneasiness and tension, I devoted my eyes and clutched that envelope so tightly, finally, I looked at him in the banquet hall with gorgeous woman, she have long brown hair and putting on a beautiful Blush pink prom gown, And the thing which surprised me is her face, she have black eyes, and have minimum makeup yet she is looking so beautiful, and this is so strange as compared to previous women, whom I remember as they all wear tight revealing outfits with a face caked with make-up, but this girl with Lucifer is having minimum makeup and her prom gown is also not much revealing, and she is smiling genuinely at others unlike that previous women, I saw with Lucifer, like Lea and Adelina and other models and Hollywood famous actresses who always have smug and arrogance over their nose Whenever they are with Lucifer but this girl with Lucifer is looking so, genuine and calm her eyes shows that she has zero arrogance
I think Lucifer forgot me and moved on with this girl, why not after all this girl seems perfect for him, and I hate to admit but; they both are looking so, beautiful together and somehow, I realized this girl is like me; not in the face; but in her behavior like same like me, and wearing a less revealing dress, and her eyes to have no arrogance and smug just like; mine also don't have whenever I was with Lucifer ;
My heart is hurting so badly; seeing him with that girl, I want to break glass over her head because her arm is linked with Lucifer, I want to break off her thin arm from lucifer's
I closed my eyes to control my temper, I can't do this, because, if I harm this girl then Lucifer will think that, I am just like my dad, who wants to give pain to others life
I clutched the envelope so tightly; I am wearing a simple light blue sweatshirt with blue faded jeans; I know Lucifer will never allow me to meet me in his mansion and his company, so with the help of Ryan, I got to know that he organized a banquet party here in this seven-star hotel one of the hotels owned by him, as he wants to announce something very important here, in this party.
I noticed many other elegant women Andrich business tycoons here, but I don't care, I come here for Lucifer and I won't go anywhere without talking to him
I conducted my way towards him.
I cleared my throat to catch Lucifer's attention; he jerked his head at me when he realized my presence behind him; he turned around and saw at me with a frown; I smiled at him weakly, that girl with him is watching at us surprised,
I looked at her "You, arm candy" I said while pointing at her; her eyes widened in shock listening to my words for her "leave his hand and get lost from here, before I lose my anger here over you" I said threatening at her with angry eyes, she flinched at my harshness and looked at Lucifer
"Who are you, to talk to her like this " Lucifer said to me while standing in front of me with his back at her, seems like he is shielding her from me
"Her destruction" I snapped at him and looked at her behind him glaring
"Who invited you here," he asked me with scroll
I closed my eyes and looked at him, after so many days without him, my life felt empty shallow, but now seeing him is giving immense happiness to my heart
"I want to talk to you, " I said to him try to smile a little and grabbed that girl's arm and make it tear away from Lucifer's arm harshly, glaring at her, and took hold of my Lucifer's arm gently while bringing him in the corner of the banquet hall
"What the hell" he snatched his hand away from my hold like, I am suffering from some sort of disease. I ignored his behavior and hand him that envelope
"What is this" he snapped at me
I gesture him to look by himself when he looked at what is inside that envelope; he frown and opened that envelope
"I know what my dad did with you and your family, this is nothing in front of that, but still I tried to do something," I said in a dry voice
"What the fuck is this, I don't need this damn money," he said to me glaring at me and placing that cheque back over my hand
I sold my dad's company with all his mansions and properties which he names to me, and the money I got, I handed it to Lucifer, as my dad's business is created by killing his parents so; this is the least I can do for him and to repay what my dad did.
"Then tear it or donate it, but I am not taking it back, " I said to him stubbornly, but he shook his head looking at me bitterly
"Get out from here, and this is the last time you are showing your face to me, next time, I won't hesitate to kill you if I saw you" he hissed at me in anger, But his eyes stops at our engagement ring, which he gives me
He grabbed my hand and forcefully and pulled away from that ring from my finger, and throw it on the artificial fountain beside us in the banquet hall
"You are never mine, Damaris, " he whispered, looking into my eyes with mixed emotions of anger and disappointment and storming away
I stared at the water in the pound of that fountain, wide eyed, our ring, which he gave me saying that ' I am only his forever, I quickly jumped over that fountain and started searching my ring like a pathetic person
No, I can't lose it, that's the only thing I have in the name of his love for me, I can't be lost it
But, even after searching for so long, I can't find it, I sat on water with a flood of tears, started crying furiously
Lucifer, I love you and I will always love you, and you can't get rid out of me this much easier, I won't let you go, I won't give up on our love, not in this birth
I wiped away my tears and stands up and sat on the edge ceiling of the fountain
I remained glued at my spot for some time, resting my body, I am feeling so tired and defeated, Lucifer will never accept me again, he now hates me more than anything
"So, ladies and gentlemen, the time is been come for which we all are eagerly waiting, now Mr. Kingston will announce, that surprise for which we all are gather here" host announced and Lucifer comes in the middle of the hall with that girl and crowd cheered for them
"Today, I want to announce that, I am going to get married to my childhood sweetheart Charlotte Wright," he said while kissing the back of the hand of that girl while looking at me.
I can feel my hands turning numb with cold with my body due to horror.
