Chapter 38: In Which All Hell Breaks Loose

Three days had passed on the Island and they both were having the time of their life, sometimes it even gave Isla the married couple vibes and she absolutely loved it. Even Alexander felt so at peace with being near her all the time for the past three days.

Currently, they were inside the condominium, Isla was scrolling through Netflix trying to find something to watch for the last half an hour while Alexander sitting on the couch cleaning and polishing his gun for which he just got new cartridges for as well as a silencer.

All of a sudden they heard the familiar loud blade slaps of a chopper sounding very close to the condo.

Alexander got up, loading his gun in the process before turning to Isla.

"I'll go check, don't follow me okay?" She nodded her head in response and he made his way to the door.

As soon as he opened it, he was faced with four men in suit, behind them a chopper with running blades.

"Mr.Rossi was here to Miss. Gambino and you back to California, the situation there has been handled, you and Miss. Gambino is to come with us this instant please" one of them said and Alexander gave him a curt nod before heading back to get Isla.

He felt a pang of disappointment which he masked masterfully that they had to leave now but it was inevitable.

Isla stood up from her place on the couch when she caught sight of Alexander approaching her followed by four other armed men.

"Miss. Gambino it's time to head home, we have to leave right away" Alexander informed, his voice monotonous and face devoid of any expression.

"Umm... okay I'll go pack a few things" she said but one of the guards stopped her.

"No Miss we have to leave this instant please" Isla nodded and that disappointment unlike how Alexander masked it, it was shown clear as glass on her face.

Isla just put her shoes on and headed out with them.

She was helped into the chopper like before, except this time it was to head back to Cali instead of this wonderful Island they were now departing from.


Isla looked up at the familiar huge grey automated gates of the Gambino mansion as they pulled right inside.

A wave of sadness washed over her as she thought about going back to the same old routine, however, she was glad that even in that routine, at least She will have Alexander with her.

Soon enough the cars stopped and they all got out, Isla was ready to head back up to her room for a nice bath that might help take away her blues of leaving the beautiful Island but She was halted right in her steps when Rolfe approached the.

"Miss. Gambino, Alexander, Mr. Gambino has summoned you both to his office right this instant" it seemed urgent.

"Umm... alright" Isla said confused as to what could be so urgent that her father called them both as soon as they got back.

Isla walked behind Rolfe, following him with Alexander right behind her.

They knocked twice before entering the office where Richard stood looking out the window, his back facing them. There were two other guards stationed in his office, besides Rolfe which was pretty unusual.

"Hi, dad" Isla greeted when she Saw Richard making no move while Alexander stood beside her, his posture straight and hands behind his back making no more to engage either.

Richard finally turned around and the first thing Isa noticed was his displeased expression as his face was contorted into a snarl.

"Welcome back little bird, you had fun didn't you? at the Island?" the question seemed rhetorical and sarcastic but Isla answered nonetheless not knowing what else to do.

"Yea it was beautiful" she answered nervously as Richard picked up a khaki colored envelope from the study table.

You had too much fun according to this" with that said, Richard emptied out the envelope's contents and a dozen pictures came out of it.

Picures of her and Alexander kissing at the Island, making out, laughing, some were even taken from the window of the condominium with Alexander on top of her as they made out.

Isla's world came to a stop as she momentarily forgot to breathe.

Alexander's firm posture broke as he saw the contents of the envelope and his eyes widened but like Isla he quickly recovered and the wheels of his brains were already turning to calculate their next move.

"Restrain him" Richard ordered the guards in the room before Alexander could do anything.

Three guards restrained him and forced him to his knees, he didn't resist much considering he knew that he'd be over powered.

'No no no, please no just let him go it's all my fault, I shouldn't have been with him dad please just let him go!" Isla pleaded as she saw Alexander on his knees with hands forced behind his back.

She was about to reach out towards him but Richard held her firm by his side by her elbow.

"I am so disappointed in you Isla, and you, you bastard, I had such high regards for you I gave you everything and you betray me like this"Richard snarled out Alexander kept his mouth shut.

"And you Isla, you have a fiance for god's sake, no wonder you don't wait to spend time with him. The last thing I expected from you was an affair" Richard bellowed.

There was a pregnant pause during which only Isla's gut wrenching sobs and Richard's angry breathing could be heard.

Before he spoke again, shattering down Isla's world as well as Alexander's .

"Due to this whole ordeal, I have decided to move your wedding up. You're to marry Jamerson in 2 weeks. As for you, I'll deal with you later, take him to the cells and lock him up" Richard ordered the last part Looking at Alexander whose face was red with fury but he didn't dare say another word in case if male the situation worse.

"You can't do this. Please don't " Isla pleaded again, tears streaming down her face.

"Take Isla to her room, lock her up, don't let her out unless I say so or except for food and water" he ordered the guard at the door.

This is what she was afraid of, being caged like this.

"Now, you can't no please don't" Isla could feel the panic rising in her chest and her world spinning.

"You brought it upon yourself Isla," Richard said not being able to Look at her but Alexander could see she was in distress.

Her breathing was coming in short and she could see black dots in her vision.

"For christ's sake help her out she is going to fall!" Alexander exclaimed out trying to get free but in vain.

However, Richard supported her just as she was about to hit the ground.

He looked down at his daughter and let out a frustrated sigh.

"This is all because of you, you seduced her and it's partly my fault to put you in charge of her, take him away" and with that said, the guards holding Alexander and started dragging him away.
