"And that's all, gentlemen," said Nathan, ending the meeting.
Several weeks had passed, during which their sexual appetite had not diminished in the slightest. They did it whenever they could and wherever they felt like it.
The danger of being caught made everything more exciting.
He stood up from his seat and she followed suit, as they bid farewell to the partners and shareholders.
They took the elevator to go up to the office, and as soon as the elevator doors closed, he pulled her into his arms and devoured her lips with passion.
Suddenly, the elevator stopped on a floor and he stepped back, annoyed. Four well-dressed men joined them.
She fixed her hair, trying to act casual, and looked at him a bit amused, while he looked around with irritation at the interruption.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Strong. Miss Peyton," they greeted, to which he responded with a simple nod of his head.
"Good afternoon," he heard Suzanne's sweet voice.
He seriously considered the option of firing them for the interruption, but knew that wouldn't be right, as they were excellent at their jobs.
He cursed himself mentally, because the girl standing next to him was affecting him more than he expected, so he thought about taking a break from her.
They arrived at the office, he took his place in his imposing chair, and she stood watching him from the doorway.
"You'd better stop looking at me like that or I'll throw you on that desk and take you quick and hard," he threatened.
She looked away, both embarrassed and aroused.
"I'm sorry."
"Good. On Saturday, I have to attend an event for the Hope Dust foundation. I need you to print my speech."
"Right away."
She already knew that he was a benefactor of several foundations. She had been investigating and was surprised to see the number he sponsored. Additionally, he had founded one dedicated to helping young people with anorexia and bulimia.
From what she had read, many personalities attended those events, but Nathan Strong was undoubtedly the most anticipated.
She went down to the fourth floor and printed the document, then returned to the office.
"Done," she said with a radiant smile, one he did not return.
"Perfect, now I need you to postpone all my appointments for tomorrow, go to the archives department, and tell Ronald to send me the documents I requested this morning," he said coldly and impersonally.
She spent the whole day running back and forth. There was a lot of activity in the company that day, and right at 7 p.m., they left the office for the apartment.
She felt exhausted but also eager to arrive. She wanted him to take her in his arms and kiss her passionately... and he did not disappoint her.
As soon as the door closed, Nathan pulled her into his strong arms and claimed her mouth, but quickly pulled away, leaving her longing for more.
He noticed, but he needed to sort out his thoughts, and with her there, he couldn't do it.
"Tomorrow you can take the day off. My driver will take you home. Good night," he said before retiring to his room.
Her hopes fell to the floor. She thought maybe he was starting to get bored of her, and she didn't like that thought at all.
When she got to her bed and her old room, she felt strange, and even more so when she lay down on the small bed. A feeling of nostalgia overwhelmed her. She had gotten used to sleeping in Nathan's arms.
She had the day off, so she decided to visit her friend Dylan. She pressed the doorbell, and the door opened immediately.
Seeing him, she threw herself into his arms, causing them both to fall to the floor, as she had caught him by surprise.
"I'm glad to see you too, babe," he smiled.
"How are you?" Suzie asked as they got up to sit on the couch.
"All good," he said cheerfully. "Tell me how things are going with that hunk of a boss."
"Very well," she confessed, and he looked at her surprised.
"Really? But the last time we talked, you could barely stand him."
"Well, that's changed," she said nervously.
"What are you hiding from me?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing."
"Suzanne Peyton," he said seriously, looking at her intently, then she knew she couldn't keep lying to him.
"It's complicated to explain," she bit her lip.
"I'm listening."
"I just ask you not to judge me. I was desperate, and he was my only way out," she said quickly.
"For God's sake, woman, just speak!" Dylan demanded.
She took a breath and started telling him what had happened, omitting some details. As she spoke, her friend's face made various expressions.
"Anyway, that's what happened," Suzanne sighed. "I had to save my father, and that was my only way out," she said with a broken voice.
Dylan moved closer to her, hugging her.
"Relax, babe, I'm not one to judge you. Besides, in your place, I would've done the same, and even for free," he said playfully, and she smiled a little.
"Don't you think I'm a slut?”
“Of course not, you did what you had to do,” he smiled wryly. “Believe me, you’re lucky to be in Nathan Strong’s life. They say that man is quite the stallion. Many would die to be in your place; he was a prime bachelor.”
“Yes, it seems so,” she said thoughtfully. “But remember, he’ll be back on the market when our agreement ends.”
“That’s true... so it’s better to make the most of it while you can,” he smiled mischievously.
“As if he were a juicer,” she frowned, and Dylan burst out laughing.
Her friend could be very naïve at times.
“But tell me something, have you done it in the office yet?” he asked playfully, wiggling his eyebrows up and down quickly.
“I’m not telling you that,” she replied, embarrassed.
“Oh, come on!” he insisted.
“Yes, but I’m not giving you details.”
“Just tell me one thing... is he as good as they say and is it donkey-sized?”
“Dylan!” she scolded, and her friend looked at her unfazed.
“What? Just say yes or no. I think it’s very relevant information, babe,” Dylan shrugged.
“Will you be satisfied if I tell you he’s a god?” she said distractedly, while looking at her phone.
“That will do. So it is huge,” Dylan said with bright eyes, then frowned. “But stop looking at that phone, babe. Are you waiting for him to call you?”
“Yes, he gave me the day off and that’s very strange. I’ve been waiting for his call all afternoon,” she confessed, blushing.
“Be careful, Suzanne, don’t fall in love with that man,” he raised an eyebrow, looking at her suspiciously. “It’s fine to have fun with him while that damn contract lasts, but remember that Nathan is not the type to fall in love, much less to start a family. His marriage is faker than the boobs I haven’t had done.”
“I know,” she said, unable to hide the melancholy in her voice.
“He’s a player, used to these kinds of games, but you’re not,” he looked at her with concern.
“Thanks, Dylan... but don’t worry, I won’t fall in love with him,” she said with a small smile.
Her phone vibrated in her hands, and she saw a message from Nathan saying she could take the weekend off, as he would be very busy on the day of the event.
For a moment Suzanne thought he would ask her to accompany him, but she was wrong.
“And why would he take me? I’m just his toy,” she thought sadly.
Besides, she thought he was probably ashamed of her; she still remembered what he had said about her way of dressing.
