Chapter 9

"What's on our table now Alessandro?", Augustus Frederick asked.
Unknown to them, Eric was at a corner in the large room, listening to their every word. His gun was by his side, ready to strike in case any eventualities occured.
"The girls. I have a new order from a client in Russia and be needs them as soon as possible", Alessandro said.
His voice was deep, a much deeper tone compared to Frederick's. Up close, Eric noticed that he had a moustache and a small piercing by the side of nose which made him look all the more sinister.
"How many does he need?", Ignatius asked.
From the small holes on the wall, Eric could make out where they all sat. Frederick sat at the head of the table, facing his allies who sat, facing him. Eric knew that these men were not to be toyed with, they were dangerous bastards who would do anything to get what they want.
"About a hundred", Alessandro said.
"Alpha Augustus, do we have up to that on ground?", Gerald asked.
Even from where he stood, Eric could feel their energy. Their wolves aura were one of the most dangerous he had ever felt. It was black, a darkness that even he knew that light would never pierce.
"Yes we do but if we give these girls to him, we'll be short", Fredrick said.
"Then we need to "recruit" more of them", Ignatius said.
"Have any idea where we can do this?", Fredrick asked.
Eric felt disgusted about what they discussed. They were talking as if it wasn't humans they were speaking of. The rage that steadily built within him was threatening to come out but he had to maintain his cool. He wouldn't want to blow off his cover when he hadn't even begun the first phase of his plan.
"Yes, a little birdie tells me that there are a lot of girls in Alpha Drew's pack", Alessandro said.
"No... No", Eric muttered.
He would never forgive himself if anything ever happened to Drew and his pack. They were his family and Eric knew that it was his duty to warn them before the unexpected happens to them.
"I have a bone of contention with Drew, the man doesn't know his place and I want to teach him a lesson", Gerald growled.
"All in due time. Alpha, when should we go ahead with the recruitment?", Ignatius said.
He lit up a cigar, the fuming white smoke spreading to every part of the room. Eric held his breath because he had never been comfortable with cigarette smoke, it made him nauseous, something he hated feeling.
"A week from now. I want us to deliver the girls to this client first before we go ahead with that. Alessandro, how much is this client willing to pay?", Frederick asked.
"5000 per head",he said.
Ignatius chuckled, blowing more smoke into the air. Eric could hardly believe what he just heard he did a mental calculation and at the end, the total price left him baffled.
"Good, very good. That's the best news I've heard all week. Conclude the transfer process as soon as possible, so we'll get on with the others", Fredrick said.
"Boss, any news about your daughter?", Gerald asked.
Augustus Frederick sighed, pulling out a sheet of paper. He slid it forward, placing it in the middle so the rest of them could see what was written on it.
"That's the man who has my daughter. Find him, I don't care whatever it costs, just find him", Fredrick said.
Eric stared closely at them and he knew they were talking about him. Alessandro picked up the paper, staring at it. His eyes were sharp and intense and he knew that he was the most dangerous out of all of them.
"This man is American no?", he said.
He placed the paper back on the table, his mind working furiously. Alessandro had a deep hatred for anything American. It came from a memory of long ago, something he didn't want to think about especially not at this time.
"Yes, he is. His name is Eric Baldwin and I'm afraid that's the only thing there is to no about him. I couldn't get any relative or friends who might be associated with him", Augustus Frederick said.
"Leave it is to us boss, we'll find him and drag him here. No one messes with us and goes scot-free", Ignatius growled.
He put out his cigar, bringing out a small bottle from his inner pocket. Even without smelling it, Eric knew that it was alcohol. For the few minutes he had spent spying on them, Kaine had learnt each of their individual behaviour.
Augustus Frederick was the Alpha and the boss and the most important thing to him was his daughter and the illicit business he ran. Alessandro on the other hand was all shades wicked, Eric knew he was worse than Frederick. Ignatius was a heavy smoker and an alcoholic, that was his weakness and Eric knew he had to capitalize on that. Gerald on the other hand was much more quiet, barely speaking but Eric knew he had the mind of a fox, quick witted.
"Thank you, I knew I could count on you guys", Augustus Frederick said.
"Boss, this Eric who has your daughter. Isn't it the same man whom we carried out the hit on?", Gerald asked.
"Yes, the same person and reports tells me he's a billionaire and one of the most feared Alpha in town. I'm still wondering why i haven't met him. My plan was to kill him so I would cut off that entire pack but it turned out that he's still alive and he has my daughter." Augustus Frederick said.
"Drew's pack is the strongest after us. I fear that they would raise a great opposition against us one day. We need to find this man fast and kill him once and for all", Ignatius said.
"Any idea where he might be?", Alessandro asked.
"No idea and that's what burning me in my heart, not knowing where this bastard might be is something that keeps troubling me", Augustus said.
"From what I read here, I see he's strong", Gerald said.
"He is. He's an Alpha and from all indication, it's clear that he's going to be much more stronger than anyone we've ever faced. We have a strong enemy now and we need to act fast before everything gets out of hand", Augustus Frederick said.
"Give us three days boss, we'll find this man and bring him here", Alessandro vowed.
Eric chuckled lightly, he couldn't imagine how foolish they were. They claimed that they were going to find him when he was already in the same room with them.
"Bloody bastards, I think it's time to show you the stuff I'm made of", Eric muttered.
He pulled out a grenade from his side pocket, pulling open the handle. He counted to three before throwing it across the room where they sat.
"What was that?", Augustus Frederick asked.
"Oh shit it's a grenade. Get down", Alessandro shouted.
The room erupted in a ball of fire. The tables and chairs scattered in different corners, giving Eric the perfect distraction he needed. He came out into the open and be was glad when he saw the look of fear in their eyes. Phase one had just begun, Eric had many more things for them but now, he would make do with this.
