Vanished

Raven has been taken right from under my nose. Not only that but the kids are going to be fully grown in 3 months and we haven't even been able to tell her that. If we don't get her back soon she will come home to the kids being full grown dragons. Which in human years they will be age 25. I need to find my mate and now. As we let everyone know what is happening news of sightings of my mate are coming in like a freaking amber alert. Sightings near her mothers castle is what I am being told and after what her father just did I wouldn't be surprised if she had something to do with it. I let her father know what I plan on doing and he agrees that just me would be best since the kids need someone to watch over them at all times right now. I gather some supplies and I head out, it's a long walk but I would literally do anything for her and that includes fighting her mother and her uncle.

I have not had to in a long time but I contact the entire dragon weyr, Dagahra. There is actually a lot of us left and when calling us all to one place the affect it is going to have on the land and our surrounding area is going to be of grand scale. In over a thousand years there has not been this many dragons summoned to one single area, but the life of my mate and of this weyr is important to me and to our future. With what I need packed and our head Dagahra warriors with me we set out toward Raven's uncles land. It is a vast land in the north away from most sunlight and ability to be out more then down south. The warriors I have brought are fully capable of dealing with the cold while dishing out some heat of their own as well. As we hike toward the first crossing I remember not that long ago when I first saw Raven while posing at a bakery, I would of done anything for her then and I most definitely will now. To think her father wanted to know who I was and what kind of harm I might be bringing his family when in return it is his own family that is the threat to mine!!

We cross the first hurdle and are met with no resistance, the villagers know of Damos' ways and have no problem with him and his ruthless queen as they put it being taken out. We move through with ease and even recieve rashings and items of need for our journey. A hot meal doesn't hurt either, as we thank them and move on we notice a fire in the distance. Not knowing if it is a threat or not we snuff our torches and move with our night sight only. Though many supernatural beings can see well in the dark, none see like a dragon. We move quietly and can smell for miles and miles, once we get a bit closer to the glow we realize the horror of what is actually happening. There is a rogue dragon flying over the village and it is setting everything ablaze. This is the type of stuff that makes everyone fear us and why we were made into chosen ones. We have so much power and when it is not taught how to properly sustain and control it bad things like this happen. We continue on the path until he notices us, rather than try to fight though he turns back into man form and comes to us without threat at all. When he gets closer you can see the hurt on his face as well as scars from hell. We have no idea what is happening and it looks as though he has been tortured. "Villagers came into our cave while I was pratolling. My mate and our baby were sleeping. They didn't have time to run or even transform, when I heard the screams I came back. Only what I found was Damos with my wifes head in his hand and his murderous mate holding my baby. My daughter is a fighter already and burned Damos mate bad and for it he killed her too. These villagers know where he is." and he starts to walk off. I think maybe he will do better with us.

After explaining that Damos is not there and we are heading to him to rescue my mate the man looks like he has a purpose again. The deal is he will walk with us and help us get Raven back but, we have to let him have Damos. I have no problem with that and considering the family has ignored them this long I doubt anyone else will care if he is dead or not. We have since passed through two more villages and have one more to go before we get to Damos land. Honestly nobody that they rule over likes them and are going to be sad to see them go, we head into the last village and it seems that here we are not as welcome. There is a wall of people blocking the exit through to his land and they all have scars and looks of having gone through previous battles. To my surprise though they are not wanting to stop or fight us, they are the villages warriors and want to help. Apparently they look like that from fighting Damos for the right to keep their mate without him having them first. To my shock I have learned that in order for you to keep your mate one of two choices have to be made. One you fight him and if you live through 3 rounds you keep her. Or two allow her and yourself to be scarred, so no other man will want her if it turns out you don't. These men wanted to kill him so they opted for the fighting and won. Some of them you can tell are beaten pretty bad but most of them don't look to awful for fighting a full blooded vampire. Some of them are dragons like us and others are wolfs. They are all living together like this because they are all that is left of each of their packs or covens. Some of them are lonesome and like it that way but all of them are against Damos. This fight just got a whole lot more even, now I just pray that Raven has held on for me.
