Tainted Blood

We still aren't sure what exactly is going on with the wolves but we have determined through some help from a healer that it is not a spell but rather something was done to their blood. They literally have no control over what their bodies are doing, I have heard of this before but it was when a vampire infected a wolf instead of human and rather than killing it they were able to control it. If this was done to these wolves then it was done on a massive level and with something that all woloves had to participate in. It is the only logical reason I can think of that so many Alphas are infected but not all wolves are. Whatever it was that the Alphas took part in is what allowed this. Now we are trying to find out what event or celebration all the Alphas attended where a toast of any kind was made. Like I said it had to be very select .on what caused this and how it was done or every wolf would of been hit with it.


After much digging and asking around to the packs and doctors it appears that every Alpha was sent a special drink in celebration of the new coming elder. Meant for only the Alphas without mates over 50 Alphas were affected. This is in no way a good thing and also explains why not every Alpha has abandoned territory, some of them have their mates already and did not receive the drink. Unfortunately the only way to get them all better without having to kill them is by getting them to drink a different drink with a removal potion in it. That sounds easy but, with them all running feral and wanting to attack me and my father, getting them to slow down and stop long enough to drink something is impossible. We are going to have to find a way to make this work though because we can 't lose this many Alphas, it will harm every pack and offset the balance in a horrible way. It has been weeks of searching and looking for answers and we finally have them now. My children are almost fully grown. Another six weeks and they will all be adults and able to inherit their powers as well as take on their rightful roles. I don't know how I feel about dragon children not having a childhood but than again with what we have on the horizon and ahead of us, it's probably a good thing that they are not tiny and helpless.


We are having a meeting with the elders today to discuss what to do next with the Alphas. I know it won't be an easy task but we have to try at least. The balance will be disturbed if we don't fix it and with having the other Chosen here to help as well I think we can come up with a plan that will save most if not all of them. For some reason having a mate doesn't allow the vampires blood to work with the control, I am starting to wonder if it has something to do with lusting after my mother is why they listen. Then I had a crazy thought, if having a mate doesn't allow it then maybe it has something to do with being able to command the lust filled men, I wouldn't think it could be that easy but what if it is? What if all we need to do is find their mates or get them to chase us into other territories where their mates may be? I will definitely be bringing up these points in the meeting, if we can do it like this and it will work then we definitely have a chance of saving them all. I just hope that it works and they all have mates out there. As the meeting starts and the elders settle in, I relay my idea to them and I see a few of the elders smile at my idea. I think they agree, and that thought is clarified when they wheel in a wolf that is infected and shackled in a cage. They are not harming him, the cage has no silver and neither do the chains, he is just so gone right now that he isn't even trying to break out, he just keeps growling at me and staring. From the other side of the room a tall skinny blonde enters and nobody looks at her but me. The minute the wolf notices that I am not looking at him he turns to look at her and immediately stops growling and snarling. His fangs retract and his eyes change back to their normal amber color. She moves closer to the cage and they both say the one word that I hope will be the saving grace for all Alphas, "Mate" is all that is uttered.


The shackles are removed and he is let out of the cage, not fully convinced I am hiding out of sight and Marcus is guarding me as well. They immediately start making out in front of the entire coucil of elders and in an instant are naked and mating in front of everyone. As they bite down and mark each other the eyes of the Alpha turn a blood red and then back to a glowing yellow of his wolf, then finally back to amber. When they climax and release each other from their clutches, they have a look of shock on their face and the Alpha immediateloy hides his mate behind him and asks what is going on. As I step out from behind Marcus the Alpha wolfs eyes go huge and he starts apologizing like his life depends on it. With a huge smile of relief we explain what just happened and are relieved to see that it works. Lusting after the queen vampire of a coven is a way to control other beings and using the hormones in her blood she was able to affect a lot of males. With this though we can make them chase us into other territories and let them all know what is going on. When we hit a territory we will have all unamted she wolfs outside near the boundary line as we cross. Just the presence of a mate once I am out of sight changes the behavior drastically as we have seen. So if we get them to chase us through one territory after another then slowly the group will dwindle because they will find their mates along the way. We also don't have to worry about fighting because the warriors and packs want their Alphas back to normal and back home so they will let us do this freely hoping it helps their pack as well. If we have to run through a pack with an Alpha tha is already mated in charge then that Alpha and queen will assist as long as no harm comes to the wolfs. We need this to work for everyones sake.
