The Infection

As we arrive at the neighboring Weyhr, they are fighting amongst each other as well and the ones who are not infected come to us almost immediately. A much bigger group now we all run again and head to the next lands. We have to make it to somewhere that this hasnt' spread to or, we have to find a place that is safe and we can hide out for now. Either way whatever it is, it seems to be spreading fast. The danger is real. As my father and the kids run with me we all are thinking the same thing, how was Selene affected? She was the moon goddess, how was something able to affect her like that? When one of the strongest beings I know can be affected by this whatever this is that means that anyone can be. We get to the safe house and get inside so the warding can help. This place is protected with magic I don't even know about. I want my mate as well but he is who told me to run, meaning that he is not himself either and that breaks my heart. I don't want anything bad to happen to him. Atlas was trying to fight it for Marcus and help me but whatever it is was hard for him to fight even and he is a full blood dragon. Same with Selene she is a full blood goddess and she was taken over as well. My father is not happy about what is going on and looks just as worried as I am. Joseph and Alex seem perfectly fine but, something is wrong with Sophie I can tell and I am not sure if it is what is going on with her father or something else.



As we all start to settle a bit and discuss what is happening around us, Sophie starts laughing in a terrifying way. As she lifts her head to look at us her eyes go completely black and she lets out a scream that will cause any humans ears to bleed that hear it. Well fuck now we have the bad inside of the warding and honestly still no clue what it is. As her laughing increases she starts going on about how this is going to be so easy and she is going to be praised for taking out the great disgrace. Those words for some reason hit hard and remind me of the way Marcus dad treated me and others. The great disgrace. Those words coming from my daughter tells me that she is definitely not in charge, who is though is still a mystery and unknown. Not knowing what to do or what is coming next we all start to back away from Sophie when out of no where there is a flash of bright light and a pure black dragon appears in front of us all. I have seen some crazy looking dragons but I have yet to meet or see a pure black one. I don't know who it is and I can't figure it out, I can't link with them and they aren't paying attention to anyone but Sophie. Still slightly shocked and not sure what to think of all of this I take a step back from everyone and close my eyes, when I do I see Ortho, my grandfather. "None of this was ever meant to happen my dear granddaughter. The pain and suffering was never meant to be, this spell is meant to break you the rest of the way and I will not allow that." My eys shoot open and I look at the dragon. I was told my whole life that my Granparents were dead, now I think that this dragon in front of me is my Grandfather and if so then what the hell is going on?



My Grandfather reaches out and grabs Sophie by the neck, he then bites her. She is part dragon and part vampire so I have no idea what is going to happen to her. He starts to suck blood from her like a vampire would only to spit it out onto the floor and it not be blood. Instead it is a dark black goo looking substance and the minute he removes it from her and sets her back down she is crying and asking her brothers and I what just happened and how she got where we are? If she doesn't remember from all of this and what happend than that means that they have been infected for a while now and no clue how many of them their are. What I really need to know though is how in the fuck my Granfather is a dragon when my mother said I was a pure blood vampire. How is that possible if she is part dragon? There is obviously a lot that we don't know because of what Marcus father did all those years but, one thing for sure is that my lineage is not pure and I am at the center of this with Marcus. I ask my Grandfather if he can help Selene and Marcus like that as well and he nods and then is gone. I am not sure what I am supposed to do with that, but at least he is able to help. Now I need to know what the last thing that Sophie remembers is. "Mom I swear we were just hanging out at the house and I got up to get a drink, I remember grabbing a glass and the juice from the fridge, then I turned around and Selene was there. She reached out and brushed my cheek and that is all I remember." so according to what she is saying is that the moon goddess was the first infected by whatever it is and she is spreading it to others until she gets to me? Well, well, well who do I know that will do whatever possible and probably has backup plans in affect to finish his work in trying to get rid of me? There is only one person that comes to mind and as soon as I mention his name to my father you can see his anger rise. Then in a flash my Grandfather is back and has Marcus with him, I am worried at first until he looks at me and all I can see is him and nothing else in there. Then I see the bite marks on his neck and know that it really is just him. I run to him and he embraces me like the first time we met.
