Chapter 52
"Kylie, hija.. your Daddy said you should go to dinner tonight. Ma'am Aria is already here." I nodded to what our Mayor Manang Renee said and then I went straight into my room and locked it.
I can't believe it! I am on the same roof with the three of them, Jiro, Aria and.. Kent and I am sure that I am also breathing the same air with them. I sigh. Should I join them for dinner? I do not know what to do. I took from I put my phone in my pocket and then I texted Kenzo.
'They're back and Dad wants me to eat dinner with them, later.' Then I hit send and it wasn't long before I received a reply from Kenzo.
'Do you want me to go there and fetch you?' I don't know. I really really don't know. I don't even know what to do. I feel so hopeless, all I can think about is Kent and Aria is back! And thinking about them being so sweet later at the dining table makes me more hopeless.
It took me a long time to think of a reply for Kenzo until he called me.
[Baby, are you alright?] I took a deep breath and then answered him. [I.. I think I am.. not.] And then I bit my lower lip.
[Baby, I'm on my way.] And I heard the opening and closing in the background. Its eight thirty in the evening and Kenzo only has thirty minutes to get me out of this place. I'm restless and I don't really know what to do.
When I looked at the clock again it's eight fifty five. Five minutes to go. Kenzo where are you? I heard a knock and immediately opened it. Thinking it might be Kenzo but to me Dismay its Manang Renee.
"Kylie, hija.. they're downstairs and waiting for you." My chest was heaving and I really didn't know what to say or do. A few minutes passed without an answer from Manang Renee.
"Hija, are you alright?" He asked me again. I was about to nod when Joanna suddenly entered the scene.
"Ma'am, Sir Kenzo is here looking for you." And then Kenzo suddenly appeared behind Joanna. I didn't care about Manang Renee and Joanna, they passed I them and I hugged Kenzo. He hugged me back.
"Are you all right?" Kenzo asked me. I nodded one after the other. I felt him kiss the top of my head, suddenly I feel relief. The nervousness that wouldn't leave my system was gone.
"I don't know how to face them." I said softly to Kenzo. He adjusted his gaze to mine. He touched both my cheeks and gave me a quick kiss. "We can go somewhere else if you're not really ready to see them." I would have agreed because I really have no intention of seeing them today or even tomorrow. Yes, I will go to their party but I have no intention of seeing them. I am just going to be there for Mommy, that's all.
"Kylie?" Both Kenzo and I turned our attention to the girl who called my name. He smiled at us and Kenzo started walking towards me. I wanna get the hell out of here, especially to get to my eyes are behind him.
My heart was beating very fast and I felt like I was sweating slowly, I felt the tightening of Kenzo's arm around my shoulder. When I turned my gaze, he was also looking at Jiro seriously.
"God! Kylie I miss you so much!" I just realized when Aria hugged me. Kenzo also let go of me because of Aria's hug. I immediately pushed him well but Jiro was following him so he immediately caught him.
"Newsflash b.itch I don't miss you at all." All the words I said to him are my emphasis. I saw how her tears fell one after the other from what I said.
"Kylie." Jiro called me. I ignored him and turned to Aria again.
"Are you happy?! Are you happy? You got not only Jiro but also Kent!" And then I walked out, immediately I followed Kenzo. I went straight to the gazebo of our house and immediately lit a cigarette. I'm doing hit-hit puffa. I am really stressed.
"That girl is so plastic! I don't know how she can stomach hugging me and saying she misses me if she's the reason for all my changes!" Kenzo approached me and grabbed the cigarette I was holding.
"Kenzo!" He stepped on it and I was about to get a new one of-
"Stop. Stop it Kylie, you're just wasting your time. I'll just take that from you and kill you, why don't you just relax? What you're talking about isn't going to do anything, you're just burning your lungs." I sigh and then I sit at my fountain.
"What I expected was that we would fight as soon as we saw each other but why is that? She's acting like nothing happens between all of us. Suddenly she's nice to me and feels close and then I'm the only one who fights with her. What's her drama now? She's the damsel in I'm the evil step sister in distress?"
Kenzo stood next to me and then he held one of my hands.
"Why don't you just go with the flow? I feel like he has changed." I immediately looked at Kenzo and withdrew my hand from him.
"She will never change! She's a b.itch and she'll be one for the rest of her life and I am sure about that. You haven't even talked to her yet and she immediately got your sympathy? That's pure bullsh.it."
In the end, I didn't do anything but accompany them to dinner, especially since Mommy called me to the gazebo, she was even surprised to see Kenzo, but in the end she invited Kenzo to have dinner with us.
On the center chair is Daddy while Mommy is on his left side. I was next to Mommy and then Kenzo. On the right side is Aria, next to Kent and then Jiro. We started eating and everything was quiet, until Daddy broke up in silence.
"So, hija how's Paris?" Daddy asked Aria. Mommy and I were the only ones talking while Kenzo and I were eating in silence.
"It's great Daddy, we now have a restaurant with Jiro and Kent. It's called 'the K' resto mostly foods from Paris are on the menu and it's been doing great for the past two years, we're also planning to bring 'the I'm here soon." Aria told Daddy one story after another, Daddy kept nodding his head and didn't stop in praise of the three.
It's like he's happy with Aria narrating their life, their business is successful and so on. I felt like he was hitting me with his compliments but I kept quiet. Until-
"OH MY GOD!" Aria said exaggerated so all our attention went to her. Attention whore!
"What's wrong?" My eyes went to their side Especially when I hear Kent's voice. My heart was beating fast and I was restless. I saw in Kent's eyes that he was immediately concerned about Aria so I looked away and swallowed one after another.
"Excuse me." I said to all of them and then I stood up but I was stunned when I heard Aria speak.
"Kylie, sissy.. is that an engagement ring?" He pointed to the ring finger of the hand where Kenzo's engagement ring was worn.
