Chapter 14

Emily picks up the brown paper bag where she had kept the dress and sneaks out of her room. She is scurrying through the bedroom corridors when a loud screech stops her.
"Thief!"
She turns around with her heart in her throat and finds Jessie. Emily rolls her eyes and continues moving. She doesn't have time for the crazy woman! She has better things to do right now than pay the drama queen any attention.
"Hey! I am talking to you! Where are you going with that! Hello! I am talking to you!" Jessie continues yelling, and moving at a fast speed to where Emily is standing.
Emily groans, kissing her teeth in anger. What sort of crazy bitch is this? She is going to attract the attention of everyone in this large house, if she keeps screaming like this!
"What do you want?" Emily snaps turning around. Her eyes are like two light bulbs burning with energy.
"I want you to show me what you are holding! Where are you taking it! When you came into my boyfriend's house, you brought nothing with you and if you are planning to leave, please leave with nothing."
This Jessie girl has so much guts, Emily thinks. It will not take her a lot of minutes to beat her up so she doesn't try such silly attitudes but she has to keep cool, since her mission is just starting.
"Look, I don't want to fight or argue, just let me go to in peace," Emily says through her teeth.
"Ooh really..." Jessie sings, taunting Emily, "I know the game you are playing Emily! You don't have memory loss. You are only pretending. That's why you refuse to take your medication!"

Emily smiles coldly at her. If Jessie thinks catching up on Emily's game is going to be an easy thing to do, then she'll have to think again. "Let's assume you actually know what's going on, what can you do about it?" Emily asks as she starts walking away from her.
Jessie is brooding with anger as she glares at Emily back.
Emily is right, what can she do about the plans? She will have to stop Emily to show that she can do somthing. To do that, she has to tell Kain. As she turns around planning to go find Kain in his office, she sights Peter, Kain friend.
"Peter!" She calls running towards him. "Peter stop!"
The smile that is on Peter's face dies immediately his eyes set on Jessie's made-up face. "How can I help you, Miss Jessie?" He says biting down on his teeth. Peter has never been a fan of Jessie long before Kain even found Emily, but he has had to remain kind to her since Kain enjoyed her company even if he denied it.
"Oh thank God I found you! Do you know the street rat Kain brought home? She has been stealing from him! "
Peter furrows his brows as he stares at her wondering if she was still normal.
"In fact, she is doing it right now! She is stealing right now!" She screeches like a mad woman.
"What do you mean she is stealing?" Peter asks cautiously. As a beta, his duty is to protect the Alpha. And this is not just any sort of allegation. It is a very dangerous one that can harm Kain. Even though the information is coming from Jessie, he can't totally dismiss it. He will need to check it out, but on his own terms.
"Come with me!" She screeches dragging on his hands.
Peter has to stop himself from gagging as her skin rests on his hands. He follows her against his will till they get to the back door where Emily makes a sharp turn with a brown paper bag clutched tightly in her hands.
"Emily! Wait you thief!" Jessie shouts and Peter pulls his hands away from her. That's it. He will not stand by and watch her talk to his future Luna like that.
"Why are you stopping? She is getting it anyway! Come with me!" She laments pulling at his hand again.
Peter pulls his hand away and stays at the door. Using his body as a shield. "That's enough!" He growls.
Jessie is surprised at his outburst and she stops trying to get past him.
"You have done enough now, go back to your room or I will have no choice but to throw you out of this house!" He barks narrowing his eyes at her.
"But- but she stole. She is a thief!" Jessie says as her cheeks turn red. She can't believe it. Peter is not ready to listen to her because of some street rat!
"I don't want to hear another word from you! Get out of here!" Peter growls at her and she runs back to her room. Or maybe she is going to Kain's office, Peter didn't care as long as she got away from him before he does something stupid.
Emily had hidden by the wall waiting for Jessie and Peter to leave and when they did, she comes out taking deep breathes. Her phone vibrates in her pockets and she quickly picks it up, knowing it can't be anyone else except Lisa.
"Hey Emily, I am here. Where are you?" Lisa says on the phone.
"Lisa, I am coming. I met a little obstacle on the way but I'll be there soon." Emily replies.
She pockets the phone, checks her surroundings one more time before running to the back entrance of the Estate which she had noticed on the night she came to pickpocket that it was not as guarded as the main gates.
"Lisa?" Emily whispers as she catches sight of her seating on the ground.
"Hey!" Lisa greets pulling Emily into a warm embrace. "What happened to your head?"
"I was on an operation yesterday and somehow some sick police officer picked up on my action and wanted to book me. I took off and somehow got hit by a vehicle." Emily explains in one breath.
