Attention Princess
The bath was a long one, Emily found pleasure in it, and it lasted for about ten minutes. When she stood in the tub, Cole helped her out of the bathtub and wrapped a towel around her chest. As she wiped her body dry, the young man opened the latch from the bathtub and let the water drain from it.
Sweeping Emily off her feet, he carried her to the bed where she sat there.
Opening a closet, he picked out a pair of blue sweatpants just like his, and a boxer briefs.
"It might not be your sizes, but this is all the clothes I have at home, you will have to manage it," he says gently.
When he had bought the toiletries, he made sure he had added toothbrush and toothpaste, also mouthwash. He had given her a few minutes to use it while he cleaned the bathroom.
Now that she hugged the still unmade bed, his eyes warmed around her body warmly.
Emily got dressed, her chest was still bare, and the wound was exposed.
"I should dress that wound before it gets infected," he informs her.
He started with the plaster and ended it with the white big bandage around her midsection.
"Are you alright? you still look pale still," he informs her letting her know that there is no chance for her to lie to him.
"I am fine," she says staring at her feet.
Something just seemed off about Cole, she knows that but as long as she keeps her thoughts to herself, she knows she is safe.
She snuggled into Cole's new boxer brief, it was big as fuck, but she pressed them up with his even bigger sweat pants, it was blue. When she grabbed the extra large t-shirt and placed it over her head, she regretted her action.
"Fuck! this hurts like shit," she says.
She could swear that she heard the young man muffle a burst of laughter, but when she looked up to peek at him, he was just there, staring at her.
"Cole..." Emily started talking, but her words ripped in her throat when the young man said,
"Hush, now! it is time for breakfast," he murmurs.
Gathering her in his arms and putting her on the stand by the sofa, the only chair in the room, Emily watched with shock how Cole went about arranging the bed.
It caused her heart to warm up inside, it was truly good, she might not yet overcome the cloud in her head, but she likes what she is seeing, the man is literally every lady's dream.
Putting everything that wasn't needed away, he walked over to where he had gently placed Emily and scooped her into his arms effortlessly.
"I can walk," she protested, but instinctively wrap her arms around his neck.
"I know you do, but I am just making sure that you are safe with me, you know? I don't possibly want you wrapping your ankle and falling hard. Besides, I don't like that bump on your head," he admitted.
"Oh!" Emily gasped out before shoving her head into the hole in his neck, embarrassment causing her cheeks to brighten up.
This is literally not what she expected, she hadn't known the fall will cause her head to swell, and she hates how clumsy she can get.
When Cole doesn't pursue the conversation she gets relieved and stays quiet. Not necessarily what she always expects, not at all, with her head still down, she tries her best to act normal.
Cole carries her effortlessly down the fleet of stairs and into the kitchen where he was before she interrupted him.
Emily's eyes bulged with how sparse the kitchen is, and the white paint that clung against the wall made the features of the room more portraying.
Gently placing her on the kitchen table, Come steps back to admire her face for a few seconds. When the silence gets too uncomfortable, Emily speaks up.
"Uhm! You know... I don't see well, and it hurts not knowing where the danger lies without my glasses. If only things didn't appear so blurred in my head, fuck!" she cusses once more sighing.
Cole chuckles this time, a deep sound from his throat, and when she stares at him, a peek of annoyance clouding her forehead, he speaks up.
"Your glasses are broken, Angel, but do not worry, I will get you another one soon," he says.
"How soon?" Emily asks before she can control herself.
"Maybe today? after breakfast? I care a lot about you because I don't want to deal with you when you have a broken limb," he explains.
**
Emily had a ton of questions in her head, Cole knew he was going to have to answer her questions, and honestly as well, it doesn't sit well with him, but he can twist a small lie and still stay with his mate.
"What are you thinking about, Cole?" Emily inquires her sharp sweet voice cutting through Cole's thoughts.
Blinking once, he shakes his head a little. How can he focus when a beautiful lady is in his kitchen? Since he bought this house almost two years ago, he hasn't had any lady visiting him that wasn't his sister or his mom. And they didn't hang out in the kitchen.
Emily is his freaking mate, she just sat there with those small brown eyes waiting for him to respond to her question.
The thought of her in his clothes didn't make a better impression in Cole's mind.
"Nothing, I will finish breakfast and serve it to you," he says taking several steps backward.
When he had asked the doctors if he could discharge Emily and bring her to his home, it was the craziest ever decision he had taken. Cole had never had anything other than a high school relationship, a few ex-girlfriends here and there, but he never mingled with a lady that long to make her breakfast.
Cole Brown knew he wasn't thinking when he when to the supermarket and bought breakfast items, he always contented himself with cereals or can food.
He could cook, all the Brown kids could cook, but him doing it for a lady__ his mate__ Cole Brown knew this had to enter in his records of first times.
"Cole? are you alright?" the weak voice called out behind him and he turned around to find a worried face, Emily.
"Yes, babe, I am alright," he says, using that as an example to remind himself that he was fine.
Quickly, he finished with the pancake mix he was doing a while ago before Emily interrupted him with her fall down the stairs, he fried the pancakes and staked them on a neat plate.
Cracking eggs in a bowl, he fried them out and added them to another plate. Bacon went in next in the frying pan, and he topped it with some toast.
Checking the coffee maker, he looked over his shoulder at Emily and was glad that he hadn't made coffee for her at all. He had replaced the coffee bag with chocolates, and he poured it into a ceramic mug for her.
"Breakfast is ready, Angel, and you should try this chocolate drink, I don't know if you will like it or want it, but I can switch it to coffee or tea, anything your body can contain right now, and that you aren't allergic too," he explains.
The young lady didn't say much, she nodded as she accepted the mug of chocolate from his mouth, lifting it to her mouth, she took a generous sip from it and widened her eyes in surprise.
"What, don't you like it?" he asked disappointment creasing his forehead.
That earned him a good laugh from Emily.
"Are you kidding me? this is the coolest thing I've had since today since it is the only thing I remember of course," she explains taking another sip from it.
It was hot, she blew into the mug while holding the ceramic with all her might, as if losing her grip on it might make the liquid evaporate.
"Thank you, very much, Cole," she says sweetly.
"You are welcome, Princess," he says.
They had breakfast, it was cool, and they adored it, Cole was glad that Emily found her appetite, it was how she gulped down everything on her plate before she could raise her head up for a proper breath.
When Cole cleared the plates, he noticed her eyes trailing his back every time, what shocked him was the fact that he wasn't even embarrassed.
Wiping the last plate dry, he kept everything and turned around to Emily's cutting words.
"You owe me answers to a ton of questions, Cole," Emily says eyeing him as if she thought he was going to back out now that breakfast was over.
Cole isn't the one to back out on bus words, thus, he lets out warmly.
"Of course, this way. Let me carry you," he says sweeping her into his arms and walking out of the kitchen.
