Amnesia

Emily Sinclair tried her best to ignore the pushing pain that cut through her chest as she watched Cole take the sit opposite her. They were in a private parlor, one that looks chic and expensive.
The chairs there were made of exquisite materials, it was beautiful how such things were known to her. Cole cleared his throat to gain her attention, and she spoke up immediately.
"Why can't I remember stuff?" she asks generally.
Cole seemed uncomfortable, but he didn't show it, he straightened his shoulders, it was weird how he made Emily squirm with just his eyes, and his huge body structure.
"You are suffering from Amnesia, Emily. The doctor says you might have suffered some brain trauma, thus, your memories are hiding from you. When it feels safe, you will get them back," he explains.
It made a lot of sense now, why she didn't know who she is, where she is, and how she probably thought Cole was a thief in his own house.
"You said... you said I was your fiancee..." she says staring at him and waiting for words of confirmation.
Emily held her breath as she waited for the man to talk, she would trust him if she has to of course, but she still has it in the back of her head that there is a man who is chasing her in her dreams.
"Yes, you are. Actually, you are my mate. You know a mate, don't you? so, I saved you the other night when you were being chased, and you promised to marry me, thus, my fiancee mate," he explains.
The way he said it with all confidence made Emily give the man a wary eye.
She doesn't know why she felt like he was lying, she can't quite figure it out, but that was the only truth she has heard since this morning.
Whatever she was going to say was truncated when a bell rang through the house.
"That is the door, and I should get it," Cole says feeling relieved that a bit of distraction was needed especially as Emily was going to press on with questions he wasn't quite willing to respond.
"Alright," she says starting to stand up.
Cole's reaction was a no, he turned towards her and let his point no when he said,
"Oh no! you have to sit here and wait for me, okay? I will be right back, Angel," he says.
Before Emily could reply, he dashed out of the living room.

Cole walked by the main corridor and walked into the main living room, the one reserved for friends and mostly his gang members. The one he had taken Emily to is his private space, where he sometimes has meetings with members of his pack when they are around of course.
Opening the door, he wasn't surprised to find Beta Gray standing there with two other of his pack members.
"Alpha!" they all greeted in unison.
Cole replied with a slight nod before opening his door wide, allowing them to enter the room.
"Any news from the bastard?" he questions looking from one face to the other.
He had kept them on special duties, to keep an eye on the club in case Emily's stalker comes there. With the grim faces they had on, he knew the reply without even pushing forth.
"No, Alpha Cole. Everything has been going on normally, people didn't even remember the strange lady__" Gray stops when he notices Alpha Cole's unamused face.
He rephrases himself and tries his sentence again.
"I mean, your mate, I am sorry for the misused word Alpha. But the point is, no one even remembers the incident right now," he says.
Cole had known Gray for so long, the man wouldn't lie to him, that is why they were best friends, but his anger had limited if he would speak badly about Emily.
But then, all his pack was getting used to the fact that he has a mate as well.
