chapter 13

Alexa

Yesterday supposed to be a fun day with my children but it's turn out to be a really bad one because of that man. Right now, I'm in the dining room and eat breakfast with the twins. "Gabriel, Gabriella mommy got one thing to tell you," I said and both of them look at me confused.

"Okay, I hope you guys can accept all this. I know both of you still young but I need to tell you this." I said and take a deep breath. "Well Do you love that uncle?" I ask.

"I love him but what if dad mad at me cause I love uncle more than him," Gabriella said.

"I love him," Gabriel said.

"Well I don't know how to tell you this but to be honest he's..... Ummm your dad." I finally said it and look at Gabriel and Gabriella waiting for their reactions.

"Uncle is our daddy?" Gabriella asks me and I nodded my head. I look at them and they just continue to eat their food as nothing happen. I don't understand but maybe they just too young to understand what am I saying.

"Mommy, uncle need to stay with us." I look at Gabriella with surprise.

"Honey, he can't because he is too busy with his work and he needs to stay far from us. He only can visit us like he always did." I said and smile at her. We continue to eat our breakfast with silent but not too silent.

After I finish my breakfast, I bid goodbye to Gabriel and Gabriella and went to work.

I'm stressing out about my new designs and my new upcoming fashion week. I look at the designs I make and choose the best one. Just then my office door open and when I look up to see who it is, yep my day is stressed out and now it's completely ruined.

"Why do you need to appear in front of my face again?" I ask him and standing in front of him. "I already told Gabriel and Gabriella about you and I think they'll accept it and then you can bring them to meet your parents," I add.

Just then, he hugs me. "What are you doing? Let me go." I said wriggling from his embrace.

"Let me hug you for thirty seconds, please." He said. Why he's always said please these days? He never likes to say those words before. I let him hug me because, to be honest, I miss to be in his arms again. I really miss it. I close to my eyes and put my arms around his waist and I can feel he hug me tighter. We stay like that for more than thirty seconds but I'm not complaining about that. I feel so secure in his arm. Feel like past.

Then, he releases the hug and looks at me. I look at him too and look at his eyes. What are you doing to me, Elijah? You makes my heart beating so fast and I think I will fall for you again. That's not what I want.

"I love you." I look at him when he said that and I can see through his eyes that he is sincere when he said that. No! I can't let him get me so easily. I know that I want him again but I want him to work more harder and if he really want me he will.

When I get home, I didn't even see Gabriel and Gabriella. They usually ran to me and hug me but not today. This is weird.

"Dolly," I call her and she comes immediately from the kitchen. "Yes, Ms?"

"Where's Gabriel and Gabriella?" I ask.

"They're in their room since this morning. I had to bring the lunch to their room because they insisted to go out from it." She reply and I nodded then walk upstairs to their room. They never stay in their room that long. I walk quickly to their room because I worried about them.

"Gabriel, Gabriella can mommy come in?" I look at them but they just play with their toys. I walk in and sit between both of them. They just stay silent and play with their toys just like I didn't there. "Did you guys mad at me? I'm sorry then. Please forgive me. Who will love me if both of you didn't want to. Hmmm, maybe mommy has to get another child to have someone love me." I said and then when I said about another child, they turned their head to me and look at me.

"We love you." They said together and hug me. I smile cause my plan work. "Mommy please don't get another baby. We love you." Gabriel said.

"Then why you didn't get out from this room?" I ask.

"We want to play here." I nodded my head.

"Ummm how about your dad? You love him?" I ask because I want to know if they can accept him yet.

"Of course we love him. He's kind and handsome." Gabriella said and I smile wider when finally they can accept all this. "That's good then."

"Mommy why dad didn't stay with us?" Gabriel asks the same question as this morning.

"Umm, he's busy. That's why he can't stay here with us because he's working. He lives in New York." I explain. They nodded their head.

"But we want to meet him," Gabriel said to me.

Just then, my phone ring. I take it out from my handbag and look it's Elijah. Speaks of the devil. "Hello."

"Hello, Alexa. I miss you." He said. I rolled my eyes and look at the twins.

"I didn't," I said coldly.

"Auch, you hurt my heart." He said but I didn't care.

"Can we meet tomorrow? Cause Gabriel and Gabriella want to meet you." I said and when both of them know that I talk to Elijah they try to take my phone. So, I put my phone on loudspeaker.

"Dad! dad!" Both of them called him. I am quite shocked when they actually call Elijah, dad.

"Dad? Wait Alexa did they-"

"Yes did you forgot about it. I told you this morning." I heard him chuckle.

"Yeah yeah, I remembered it. So, we will meet tomorrow?" He asks again and I reply yes to him.

"Okay then see three of you tomorrow. Bye, my love life." With that, he hangs up and I feel weird about it.

I keep telling myself not to fall for a man like him ever again. A man like him will never change. maybe he will treat me like his love life for a year or two but then I know he will get bored and throw me like trash. Just like he did three years ago.
