chapter 17

Alexa

To be honest I was shocked when I saw Elijah is here. I don't know how he knows that I'm here. When he asked me to go with him, At first of course I do not agree at all but then after he kisses me, I feel like my mind and my whole body feels something weird that makes me just follow him and now I don't even know where are we going.

"Can you please tell me where are we going? If you don't have any plan, can you bring me back to the hotel cause I'm so tired and now with you here just makes me feel double tired? You know why because you and your cocky personality never change and that's what I hate most about you." I kind of nagging at him but he just drive to nowhere didn't mind if I talk to him. At last, I just lean my head and look out the window. Just then my eyelids feel heavy and I just decided to take a nap while he is driving.

When I open my eyes, I feel the car didn't move anymore. I straighten my posture and look outside. It's a huge lake in and also people who are a picnic with their families or partners. I look beside me to see Elijah playing with the phone and looking serious. I think he doesn't notice at I'm already awake. So, I clear my throat and that makes him look away from his phone and turned to me. "You're awake." He said and put his phone inside his pocket.

"Why are we here?" I ask.

"We're going to spend this whole day together and I think this is the best place for us to spend it. It's peaceful and also can release our tensions." I look at him disbelief and then just got out of the car. He's right, it has a breathtaking view and makes my stress go away. Suddenly, I feel a hand snake around my waist. I shocked and I elbowed the person who held my waist. Then, I heard someone groan and his hand off from my waist. I turned around to see who it is and my eyes widen when it's Elijah. But it's served him right because he has no right to hold my waist like that.

"Don't do like that anymore if you don't want to get elbowed by me," I warn him and walk away and find a bench to sit.

A moment later, I can feel Elijah is following me behind but I just walk to sit on the bench. He sits next to me and looks at me smiling. "Why are you smiling like that?" I ask him confused.

"You're so beautiful, baby. That's why I can't stop smiling when I look at you." He answers. I just look away and try to make the thing don't go awkward.

"Alexa, I know you still mad at me but I also know that your heart is little by little want me back. I love you Alexa and this time I really mean it. I'm not going to act like three years ago. I promise." He said and I just take a deep sigh.

"Do you think if I kiss you back, let you hug me, gives your family take care of my kids and spending time with you, I already forgive you and totally forgot what you did? You're so wrong, Elijah cause I'll never forget about it." I said to him.

"I know your mind is saying the different thing now, Alexa." I look at him.

"No. I'm telling you the truth and don't even said like you know everything about me." I feel like I wanna slap him in the face right now but I have to stand it because we're in public. I don't want people to see it.

"Alexa, I already changed. I'm not the old Elijah anymore. You know what, I'm not sleeping with any women anymore because I didn't feel anything when I slept with them. Please trust me." I shake my head.

"You didn't sleep with any women anymore?" I ask and raise my eyebrows. He nodded his head. "When did you stop that huh?" I question him.

"Like two years ago." He said and I just nodded my head in response.

"If you change, why you still lying to me?" I ask him.

"I'm not lying to you. I'm telling you the truth now." He answers.

"Oh, then why didn't you tell me about your one night stand with Dolly, the twin's nanny? Just stop lying to me I'm not that stupid, Elijah." He looks at my shock.

"Ho-" I cut him off.

"That's not important for you to know who told me this. The important thing is now that why you didn't tell me this thing? You said that you've changed but the real thing is you're not." I look at him and his face is unreadable now.

"It just one night stand Alexa. I already leave her and she's fine. You can see by yourself right?" I scoffed.

"Yeah, she might be fine but do you think I'll be fine too when I know your one night stand is working with me as a nanny to my kids? If I fired her, she might think I'm not professional but I'll fire her after I finish my work here." I told him.

"Alexa-"

"I want to go back to the hotel now. Don't. Follow me. I can take a cab." I said and walk away from him. Why do I always ended up crying when I met him? Stupid tears.

The next day

I wake up when I hear the sound of a bell inside my room. Who the hell is disturbing me early in the morning like this? I huff and walk to the door and when I open it, I see one of the hotel worker standing in front of me with flowers in his hand.

"I'm not ordering any room service nor that flowers," I said to him with my half-asleep voice.

"Mr. Perkins asked me to give this to you.." He said and handed me the flowers.

"I didn't want it. Throw it away."

"But if you don't accept this flowers, Mr. Perkins said that he will get me fired from my job. So please accept these flowers." Elijah is really annoying. I take flowers and then close the door. I might be acting rude but it's all because of the man name, Elijah. I throw the flowers into the small bin inside my room.

I look at the time and then groan. It's already 10 in the morning. That's a good thing that I don't have an early appointment today. I open the curtains and the light of the sun make my room bright.

I plopped on the bed because I'm still sleepy. Just when I'm about to fall asleep, my phone voice comes into my ear. I take it under the pillow and look Who is it.

It's Elijah.

Ughhh why he can't stop disturbing me? I want to block his number but the twin always asks me to call him so I can't. I open his messages and read them.

Good morning baby.
Did you get the flowers?
How about we have our dinner together tonight?
I'll pick you up at 7:00 p.m...
I love you.

"What the heck?" I said when he said that he wants to have dinner with me tonight. I'm not going anywhere with him. I throw my phone on the bed and continue to sleep.

7:00 pm

I'm just watching television and sipping my hot chocolate on the bed. A moment later, I heard my door is being knocked. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and put my hot chocolate on the table before I walk to open the door.

"Hey, baby." I surprised when Elijah is standing in front of my room in his dark blue Armani Suit. Oh, dinner!

"I'm not going to have dinner with you. Bye." I close the door but he put his leg to prevent me from closing the door.

"What are you doing? Stop it!" I said and he takes that chance to make the door open wider and step inside my room. "Who ask you to come in? Get out!" I said but he just walks in and sits on the sofa looking at me.

"I'm not going anywhere until you agree to have dinner with me." He said and smirks.

"I don't want too," I said.

"So it looks like we're going to have so much fun in your room then." I open my mouth to reply but nothing come out from it. Then, I just stomp my feet and walk to the cupboard and take my dress randomly and heading to the bathroom. I slam the door and put the dress on the counter. He just so annoying and make me piss.

After a few minutes, I get out of the bathroom and wear my heels. "I'm done. Let's go now." I said and just walk out from the room without waiting for him. I hear footsteps behind me and I know it's him. When we arrived at the lobby, he put his hand on my waist. I try to get his hand off from me but he just continues to hold my waist. In the end, I just let him because I'm too tired to argue with him now. He leads me to his car and then opens the door for me. I glare at him and get into the car.

He just smiled at me and then when he got into his seat too, he drives away to the place that we're going to have our 'dinner'.

I HATE HIM!!
