Alexa

Since that incident, I become more alert with Gabriel and Gabriella food because I don't want they get into hospital again especially for Gabriella. It's a good thing that she already recovers and become a hyper girl again. She just got discharged from hospital yesterday and Gabriel is the happiest person when he knew her twin sister going to discharge from the hospital. I didn't even tell Elijah about this at all because I didn't want him to get worried and can't do his work. Besides, I and he didn't contact since I got home from his parent's house. Maybe he's too busy or some woman.

Right now, I'm in the house and feel so lazy to go to work. So, I just use my boss power and told Hera to cancel all my meetings and appointments for today because I don't feel well. Well, that's a logic reasons. I just lay on my bed and didn't want to get up yet. Last night, three of us just celebrated for Gabriella who gets out from the hospital by watching movies and all of us slept really late. I bet the twin still fast asleep so I have time to pamper myself in bed. I just rolled my body with a blanket and suddenly my phone ring. I groan and take my phone beside me. I just swipe to answer it didn't care who it is.

"Alexa!" I pull the phone away from my ear and I already know who it is. It's my one and only best friend, Thea.

"Gosh, woman. You're going to make me deaf in early age." I said and heard her laugh.

"Oops, sorry bestie but I'm really happy because..." She didn't continue her sentence and that makes me really curious what she's gonna say.

"Tell me! What it is. Don't make me curious like this." I said.

"I'm. In. LOS ANGELES!!!" Again I have to put the phone away from my ear. But when I realized what she said, Smile appears on my lips and I quickly sit up.

"Seriously? Oh my god! I miss you so much." She just laughed.

"Well, I miss you too my bestie. And I think I'm gonna die out here because it's cold." She said.

"What do you mean? Out there? Out where? Wait don't say...." I jump from my bed and run downstairs to go to the door. When I open the door, I see Thea standing while holding her phone at her ear also there's luggage besides her.

"Alexa!!!" She hugs me really tight. "I miss you so so so so so so so so muchhhhhh." She said and kiss my cheek.

"Okay don't be so dramatic. Let's go in." She drags her luggage and put near the stairs. "Why you didn't tell me you are coming to LA? I can go and fetch you at the airport." I said.

"If I tell you, it's not going to be a surprise then. By the way, I'm gonna stay here for three days."

"Awhhh that's so short. Why can't you stay a little bit longer? Three days is not enough." I whine at her and sit on the couch.

"My boss only can give me three days leave I can't do anything about that. Whatever so, how are you my one and only best friend." She asks me.

"You know, there's a lot of things happened just on a few months," I explain.

"Oh what it is? Tell me everything." She asks eagerly.

"Well..... Actually, I and Elijah spend a few days in Italy together but we didn't stay in one room, of course. We both went to New York and met his family also I let Gabriel and Gabriella stayed in New York for one week while I'm in Italy." I said that in a careful tone. I look at her and she just stays quiet. "Thea, did you hear me?" I ask and she looks at me.

"Alexa, why are you being so dumb? I thought you gonna be more alert and careful after what he did to you before. You might get hurt again because I have a feeling that he's not changing. Why would you think he changed just to get you? Are being serious Alexa?" She said in a serious tone and I just look at my hands. "It's not like I didn't want you to be happy but your decision is so stupid. Maybe you see him change because he treats you so sweet, romantic and all but once he got you in bed, he will leave you Alexa and that time, you will get hurt for a second time. You have to be harder to get until he feels the same heartbreak as what you felt." She nags at me. I know she feels worried about me.

"Thea, I know what I'm doing, besides, I won't fall for him ever again. I just want to make him fall for me and then I want to throw him away just like he did to me three years ago. I want him to feel that pain too." I answer.

"Oh, really? I hope you didn't have any feeling for him while you doing your 'revenge'. I understand if you still want to keep that relationship between your children with Elijah. " She sighed. "I will support you with that. Count me in baby girl." She adds.

"Thank you very much! I know you will support me with this. I love you so much, Thea." She nodded her head and sighed again. "Stop sighing woman, that's annoying," I said and she laughs at me.

"Auntie, can we watch emoji movie later after dinner?" I heard Gabriella ask Thea while I'm just cooking for them. The twins close to Thea and that's a good thing she's here at least she can look for the twins for three days.

"Guys! Food ready?" I shouted from the dining table and heard the running footsteps coming over.

"You should call me and I can help you, Alexa," Thea said and sit across me.

"It's nothing much. It's okay."

We just had our dinner with laughter and have a good time together. After we finish the food, Thea helps me to wash the dishes while the twins ready to watch their favorite movie, emoji movie. "You know, sometimes I really hope my boss can transfer me and let me work here not in Paris. I really want to live with three of you like this." She said while washing the plate.

"There's nothing we can do. Things already happened."

"You know what, I have to work with Joseph Sanchez the young and one of the richest billionaire and also a womanizer. He's so bossy and picky. All the design that I did for his new hotel, he rejected it and told me to make another design. Ughhh." She complained and I just smile. Wait, Joseph? Elijah's best friend? Oh, how small this world could be? "Alexa? Hello? Are you zone out while I'm talking to you? Gosh." I look at her.

"Sorry I just think about something else. About work." I said. Of course, I didn't want to tell her about who is Joseph because if she knew, she might resign from that project and I don't want that to happen. "Well, you already finish it. Let's go and watch the movie with them. They're waiting for us." I said and both of us walk to the living room and sit with the twins. We watch the movie until late at night. I look at the twins, they already fall asleep and also for Thea, she also nearly fall asleep. I get up and pick Gabriella first to bring her upstairs then I saw Thea carrying Gabriel and follow me upstairs.

"Thanks, Thea. You can go and sleep now. I can manage from here." Without any second she walks out from the room. She must be so tired. After I put the blanket on them and kiss their forehead, I make my way to my room.

Just before I close my eyes, my phone light up. I see who send me messages in the middle of the night. It's Elijah. I open to read it.

'Baby, I miss you so much.'

'And also, I already know where the exact place for four of us go for our family vacation. I think we should go next week how about that? ;)'

'I didn't care where you're going to bring us for this vacation at least it's not too dangerous for the twins.' Sent. He replies after a few seconds.

'Good then and don't worry it's safe. I can't wait to meet you.' He replies.

'I really wish that we could messages for a little bit longer but it's late and I have work tomorrow so talk later.'

'Oh :0. I'm so sorry. Forgot to check the time. Okay then sleep well and I love you, Alexa.' I read it and just put my phone next to me. I feel myself drift into sleep as soon as I close my eyes.
