Janitor

"What janitor are you talking about?" Anita asks Adan who faces her as he is sitting at the bed edge.

"This…" Adan replies as he points behind him.

"That's my sister!" Anita screams at him.

"Are you sure?" He asks her again as he turns and a lady in a janitor's uniform comes in.

"She is your sister?" Adan asks her again as he looks at the janitor.

"Oh…I don't mean her. I mean Yami…" Anita says in a low voice.

"Can I have a word with you Mr. CEO?" Yamileth asks him as he turns around then looks at Anita.

Adan gets up and goes out of the ward while Yamileth makes a happy face to her sister but the moment she turns, her face burns with anger as she leaves the ward and sees Adan outside.

"What do you think you are doing?" How could you come in here? What relationship do you have with my sister? Tell me!" She yells at him.

"I have nothing to do with your baby sister who cries a lot." Adan replies.

"This isn't funny, okay? Let this be the last time I will see you around her again." Yamileth warns him in a low voice as she notices how people passing are looking at her.


"But that's not possible. She works for me." Adan replies back.

"Oh really? What if she doesn't?" Yamileth questions him further.

"Well…there's no two ways about it. Let me say hi to her before I leave. I can see that you don't want me around your crybaby." Adan teases her as he tries to walk away but Yamileth puts her hand on the wall, restricting his movement.

"Watch your words." She says to him then turns and leaves. Adan enters the ward after her.

"See you next week. Make sure you have enough rest." Adan says to Anita as she nods.

"You are giving me a week's break?" She asks him in disbelief.

"Yes." He replies to her then leans closer to her face which makes Yamileth's eyes pop out in fear and Anita's heart to skip a beat as she thinks that he is going to kiss her.

"Make sure your lady downstairs is fine before then." She hears him say as her heart flutters and her eyes turn yellow.

He leans away and gets up from the bed. He takes out an envelope and drops it on the bed.

"This should cover other bills. Good night." He says and leaves.

"Who does he think he is? You are definitely going to leave that work before he rapes you!" Yamileth hears herself scream at her sister.

As she mentioned the last line, she felt somehow like she wasn't supposed to say that. What is she thinking?

Anita on the other hand, her heart stopped beating as fear gripped her. If only her sister knows that he has done that already… She felt like crying as she was ashamed of herself.

"Hey sweetie…I'm sorry for raising my voice at you…please pardon me. That guy just pissed me off. I'm sorry, okay?" She apologizes.

Yamileth never could imagine that her sister's boss will be the same man that puts his sex toy in between her legs. She still can't believe that it is her sister's boss that she opened her legs for. What if her sister gets to know about it?

Both of the sisters are keeping their secrets and fears away from each other which are almost similar but in Anita's case, it's a rape while Yamileth did accept it.

"I'm sorry for stressing you." Anita apologizes as she sniffles in tears.

Yamileth embraces her in a warm hug.

"You know what? Why don't we get some hot chocolates?" Yamileth asks Anita as they both laugh.

The next day, Anita gets discharged and is about to go home with her family. They are still packing up to go home when the nurse comes in.

"Hi…can we help you?" Monica asks the nurse.

"The receptionist asked me to give this to you." The nurse replies as she hands over an envelope to their mum.

"What's this?" She asks the nurse as she looks at the envelope.

"This is money…what for?" Monica asks again as Yamileth, who is making the bed, turns to see it.

"Yes ma'am. It's the hospital bills that were asked to be returned back." The nurse replies.

"Why? Is something wrong?" Weston asks the nurse in surprise.

"Not really sir. A young gentleman who came in yesterday settled the bills and asked the receptionist to return your money." The nurse clearly delivers the message.

"That's awesome…who is he so we can thank him?" Monica adds in excitement.

"Your daughters should know him better, he was here yesterday ma'am." The nurse replies as she turns to leave.

Weston and Monica turn their eyes to Yamileth and Anita. Both of the sisters are soaked in fear, especially Yamileth.

"Someone came in last night after we left? Who is he?" Monica asks the both of them but her question is being directed to Yamileth.

"Yes mummy…erm actually…it's nothing to worry about." She replies.

"Well it is because we need to thank him." Monica adds as she looks at her husband and he nods at her.

"Mum, it's Anne's boss. We did as you said and he insisted on visiting so I guess that's when he did pay." Yamileth admits to it.

"Anita's boss came here last night? Why? Is he single?" Their mum asks again.

"Mum…does it matter?" Yamileth asks as she ignores the question.

"Yes of course. What if he is married? Why will a boss come to see his employee so late?" She asks again.

"Well mum Anne is sick so is not what you are thinking." Yamileth replies back as Anita keeps quiet. She knows that for some reason, her sister has her back.

"You haven't answered my question yet. Is he married?" Monica asks again.

"No…he's not." Anita replies as Yamileth looks at her. Of course Yamileth can't answer that if she wants to save herself some explanations.
