Chapter 24 You're coming home with me to take care of Beth
Arabella smiled and did not speak for a moment.
She was a person who had just had a miscarriage and even had difficulty walking, yet she was still able to push Beth Ruth down.
Was she too powerful, or was Beth Ruth too weak?
"You make Beth so angry that have a heart attack now! What else do you have to say? Get out!" Gaby James became more and more furious, pointing at Arabella and shouting loudly.
Arabella, however, seemed to have heard nothing and sat down on the chair at the door in a daze.
Seeing this, Gaby James couldn't help but become even angrier, and her scolding became even more unpleasant.
Arabella didn't say anything, but Andrew James, who was watching the play from the side, couldn't bear to listen any longer. "Auntie, it's enough. This is the hospital. You are James' family's people. Keep your dignity! Grandpa hasn't woken up yet, but you are so loud. Do you want to wake him up?"
Gaby James closed her mouth.
When the night fell, there was still no sign of Arthur James waking up. The people who were guarding the door left intermittently because of various things.
The only one who guarded the door was Arabella.
She sat on the chair at the door, hugging her knees in a daze. She looked very pitiful.
Arabella didn't know how long she had been sitting there. She immediately felt the sound of footsteps stop beside her. Only then did she gradually come back to her senses and raise her head in a daze.
"Doctor Hall... Why are you here?"
The person who came was Noah Hall.
Looking at her somewhat unfocused eyes, Noah Hall sighed in an inaudible manner, "I see that there is no one in the ward, so I look around... You are indeed here."
"I'm sorry to have made you worry. My grandfather is sick..." As Arabella spoke, she raised her head and glanced at the old man with various respiratory tubes in the ward. Her eyes were slightly red.
"Don't worry. Your grandfather will be fine. I believe he will wake up soon. You are still weak. Come back to the ward with me quickly!"
"I'm fine. I want to accompany my grandfather..."
Grandfather treated her so well and was her only pillar of support in James' family. If grandfather really couldn't wake up because of her, she definitely wouldn't forgive herself!
"Your grandfather won't wake up for a while. There will be a nurse to take care of him. Right now, you should take care of yourself. Otherwise, when your grandfather wakes up and you're ill, how will you take care of him then?"
Arabella's lips moved. For a moment, she didn't speak as if she was thinking about something.
After a long time, she nodded gently and stood up unsteadily, "Yes, you're right..."
Noah Hall wanted to help her, but Arabella did not give him a chance. She staggered away and returned to her ward.
Arabella stayed in the hospital for several days. Every day, Noah Hall would come to report to her about Arthur James' situation, but the results were all in a coma.
On this day, Emma found out about her miscarriage from somewhere and immediately brought Wyatt to the hospital.
"Arabella, why didn't you tell me about such a big thing like a miscarriage? I was the last to know!" Looking at her best friend's haggard body, Emma's eyes suddenly turned red. She hugged Arabella and cried out of breath.
"It's okay. I'm fine now." Arabella hugged her and comforted her in a soft voice.
After staying in the hospital for so many days, she finally figured it out.
Perhaps this child should not have come to this world from the beginning. With such a father who did not welcome him and so many people who were malicious to him, he would only suffer when he came to this world.
It was better to choose a happy and stable family and nice parents, at least not like her and Ezra.
"How can it be fine!" Emma wiped her eyes and looked at her up and down. "What exactly happened? How could there be a car accident?"
Speaking of this, a trace of obvious irony flashed across Arabella's haggard face. "You have to ask Ezra. Didn't he always want to abort my child?"
"What do you mean by that?" Emma widened her eyes in disbelief. "Could it be that it was Ezra, he..."
Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted by Wyatt who was frowning. "Ezra is not such a person. There may be some misunderstanding about this matter."
When Emma heard this, she was instantly dissatisfied. She immediately shouted, "What do you mean by not this kind of person? You saw it when we were in the hospital that day. Arabella was almost forced to jump off the building! You and him are friends. You grew up wearing a pair of pants, so you naturally spoke up for him! Do you dare to say that he did not force Arabella to abort the child!"
Wyatt could not speak, and a trace of helplessness appeared on his handsome face.
Emma did not want to pay attention to him. She took Arabella's hand and comforted her for a long time. Only when Arabella was a little sleepy did she and Wyatt prepare to leave.
Not long after the two of them left, Arabella was about to close her eyes to sleep, but when she closed her eyes, the door of the ward was opened again.
Ezra's ghostly voice suddenly sounded in her ears, "Beth is still suffering because of you. I think you are very relaxed here!"
Arabella trembled all over. She suddenly opened her eyes and looked at Ezra at the door in disbelief. "What are you doing here?"
She did not realize how trembling her voice was.
Ezra looked at her gloomily. Step by step, he approached her and pulled her up from the bed. "Get up! Go home with me!"
"Ezra, are you crazy? Let go of me!" Arabella struggled with all her strength.
"Beth is sick. Come home with me and take care of her." Ezra ignored her struggle and dragged her to the door.
"What does her illness have to do with me? Why should I take care of her?"
Hearing this, Ezra stopped and smiled coldly, "If not because you pushed her that day, how could she have a heart attack? Even now, she can only lie in bed!"
After a pause, he continued, "It's fine if you don't go. Then I can only invite your parents to take care of her."
"No!" Arabella's eyes immediately turned red. Her parents were her bottom line, and she would never allow him to humiliate them like this!
After a long silence, Arabella clenched her fists and gritted her teeth. "Alright! I'll take care of her!"
Half an hour later.
Ezra's car stopped at Nanfeng Villa. Looking at the familiar building in front of her, Arabella looked at the man beside her in disbelief. "Don't tell me that Beth Ruth is here?"
This was their wedding place! It was their home!
He actually brought his mistress to their home!
"This place is close to the company. It's convenient for me. Get out of the car!" Ezra said disapprovingly.
Arabella unwillingly gritted her teeth and slowly got out of the car after a long while.
She was still wearing her hospital gown. Her collar and cuffs were very loose, making her look even more delicate.
Ezra's eyes darkened a little, and he walked in.
Arabella also followed him step by step.
This should have been her home, but why did she feel like she was a guest now?
No, she was not a guest. She was just a servant who had been captured by Ezra to take care of Beth Ruth!
