Chapter Twenty one

Chapter Twenty-one
“You know you can leave whenever you want to, I can’t keep up tying you down Serena”

“Who said anything about leaving Jasmine? I’m going to stay here with you till I make sure that you’re alright” “I’m fine, you don’t need to worry about me, you have a lot of things that you have to attend to back in the sitting, I can’t keep holding you back”

Serena walked up to her and held her gently by the hand “I want to be here with you and please don’t talk me into leaving you, I can’t just leave and be okay knowing that my friend needs my help”

Jasmine felt tears roll down her eyes “Thanks, I’m not sure what I would have done without you by my side” “Now you had to get some sleep, ‘ll always be here whenever you need me that’s what friends are for right?

Jasmine nodded as she allowed her to peck her goodnight, she smiled sadly and headed back to her daughter’s room, how could she be able to live knowing that one of her daughters wasn’t with her?

Throughout the night she found that she couldn’t go to sleep instead she kept watch on her daughter and thought about what Logan had told her.

Was he telling her the truth, part of her didn’t believe him and knows very well that nothing will happen to her daughter while the other part knows that she was just denying the truth and that everything that she was being told was the truth.

She covered her face in her palm while she cried, had she made the wrong decision keeping the pregnancy, should she have terminated the pregnancy? It felt as if she would lose her mind thinking about all this.

But looking at her daughter’s sleeping face said a whole different thing to her, she wept uncontrollably and at the same time, she tried not to wake her daughter from her sleep.

She wished that she had seen the danger ahead, she wouldn’t have hesitated to save her daughter now she couldn’t help but feel helpless, Logan had given her an option but that was impossible to do.

She couldn’t even think of living a moment with him talking more of a lifetime with him.

For the week, she couldn’t help but be paranoid, everything scares her and finally left, but it got more worst. She didn’t want to live like this.

This wasn’t what she had wanted, she had planned for a happy life, not the one crowded with fear and anger.

Serena had even asked her to come back to the city, to try and get her life back and also try to forget about the past few months of pain but that wasn’t as easy as it sounds, there was no way she could pretend that everything in her life hadn’t happened.

It seems impossible to pretend because she’ll always be reminded of it the instant she looks at her daughter, so she felt trapped and helpless.

There was no way to escape this unless she finds her way out…

Jasmine found herself the next minutes examining her daughter closely, more than she was doing before since her daughter had the blood of a monster running through her and she haven’t even been born at the right time, there must be something that would distinguish her from human and that was something she wouldn’t allow that to happened and if there was any curse she must find a way to stop it from happening.

And to be able to do that, she had to find someone who wouldn’t think she was crazy when they learned the truth about her daughter, someone who would help make sure that her daughter doesn’t have any abnormal features.

It made her want to find out more about her daughter, she wanted to know more than just taking care of her, would she turn into a monster like her father, and if so… what was the possible way to stop that from happening?

It was hard for her to even think of her daughter as a monster but all she wanted was to avoid all necessary consequences that would lead to her deepest fear.

For months, she took her time to read and learn the consequences of giving birth to an inhuman father, the cure? Well, it doesn’t have any cure or remedy.

Something that would stop all necessary changes to happen. In all research she had done, she always comes to the dead making her want to quit searching to give up but she knows that no matter what her daughter would never turn into a monster.

She would do anything, anything to make her daughter live a normal human life, and finally in the last thick book she came across about vampires and werewolves and race mixing, what happened when humans and monsters mate? the threat and consequences and finally she saw …remedy!

She felt like screaming out in joy, it had taken a whole seven months to find this, and she couldn’t help but be thankful. She was finally distracted by Eleanor whaling, Jasmine smiled as she lifted her eight-month daughter in her arm.

“Don’t cry now baby girl mummy had found a solution to all this, a very nice one” she smiled at her as she cuddled her gently in her arm and soon she stopped crying leaving Jasmine to stare at her beautiful face

“It going to be alright because you’re going to grow like every other human not like that monster baby”

she kissed her face and watched as she moved her hand and feet playfully, she had just woken up from sleep and was probably very hungry.

“Okay time to eat young lady” Eleanor laughed again as she drew her hair and what was supposed to be a gentle grip almost tore her hair off and she was just left to stare at her daughter.

At night she figured something out to be able to help her daughter and to do to…
She was speechless as she stared at her sleeping daughter but she would do anything just to save her daughter from this danger.

She stood up and headed to the telephone and found herself dialing the number in instant, Jasmine pressed the phone on her ears as it rings and waited for the other end of the line to be answered

“Hello Jasmine:” Finally she thought “I’m ready to come back…
