Chapter Thirty three
Ramona stopped in front of the cell bar and found herself staring at the huge beast, just the same as the one that had tried to kill her last night.
"It's a gift from me" she looked u at her father's stern face and then back at the wolf, it was the same wolf! Her father was able to fight and imprison it!
She marveled, her father had won't out to bring the gift for her as a gift. "Tell me, Ramona... Did you love your present" she look up at her father to see the smile on his face now?
She nodded and moved forward toward the bar, this time it howl but it wasn't anything louder it was just from the pain it had received "And guess what Mona? Her father asked but she didn't turn to him to respond but kept her eyes fixed on the beast.
"What father? " I'll give you the pressure in killing it, tomorrow in front of everyone, it would be a great lesson to anyone, human or demi human who dares to attack a loyalty.
Ramona didn't bother saying a word again instead she smiled at the wary beast, she was going to get her revenge on it. First for trying to kill her and also for making it seems as if she was just a week heir to the point of being saved by a white wolf.
But something bothers her "Won't the rest of the packs mock me? " No one dares to move loyal and you have to give them a reason not to...starting from now".
Eleanor finally walked out of the building with her mum, it took almost an hour for her mum to finish up with whatever she was doing inside and she had spent her time standing by the window watching the busy roads down the street.
"I meant this woman, mummy," she said to her mother as they made their way to enter a cab. "What woman? Jasmine stopped to ask her. " She said her name was Eric and asked me where my mum, and dad are"
Jasmine felt uncomfortable instantly, what did you tell her then? "I just told her that you were running some errands". Jasmine nodded with a half smile " Anything else? "Umm, nothing else" she muttered, sensing her mother's change of mood.
"Do you know her? She asked her mother. "Theirs a lot of people working in the building, I can't know all of them and I also don't like the idea of you talking with a stranger Eleanor". She nodded and tried to avoid any sort of scolding from her mother.
Jasmine stared at her daughter for a while, was there any reason for her to be afraid? She pushed her hair away from her face. " Come let's go home"
Logan made his way across the red carpet and then upstairs to another polished floor, he wonders why Eric had insisted that he met with her at her home.
It was rare for her to invite anyone here because she only invites or deals with any pending matter at her office, why had she invited him here?
Well, Eric is always filled with Surprises, he finally leads into the library by one of the servants and he found her sitting on a massive armchair beside the window.
She looks so calm like nothing was bothering her in this whole wide world but he had learned not to be deceived by the look because he knew a lot was going on in that head of hers.
"I'll say it is a great honor to be invited to your home" Logan smiled "Why so? She asked not moving from where she was sitting. " You and I know quite all right that it is very rare to get an invite to your mansion," he said as he walked toward her to kiss her forehead.
"So, why have you invited me here, Eric". " Care for dinner? She asked instead standing up from the couch if it was any other person, he wouldn't have allowed them to keep him waiting or in suspense but her...
Eric had her own ways of doing things and he wouldn't feel offended by it, he had come to know that everything she does was for a reason and if she had invited him to dinner, he would gladly accept and dine with her.
"Dinner then" he smiled and follows her out of the library through a different door that led to her dining area.
Jasmine tried to stop herself, she tried to forget the name. It was obviously nothing and she was just being paranoid but she needs to know...
She held the plate she was washing tightly and tried to pretend that the urge was not there, that she wasn't bothered about this woman.
But she couldn't control herself anymore and gave up instantly by dropping back the plate back into the water and drying her hands on her apron as she hurried to the sitting area where she had kept her laptop.
She logged in and typed the name "Eric on her keyboard and within thirty minutes, she was scrolling down the pile of information about her. She was the second shareholder of " Heaven" and also among the richest.
Why was she so concerned about a little girl? Was it just her way of being nice or... She stared at her picture on her laptop screen for a while, maybe she was just being paranoid.
It was just her way of being nice to the little girl she saw in the hallway and nothing more, Jasmine sighed and logged out of her system.
She hated being this way, she needs to go and get a life. She needs to get a life back, she couldn't even remember the last time she went to any place exciting.
It just only going to work and coming back home, maybe doing something different would help her get her life back to normal.
