Chapter Twenty eight

"What are you waiting for Jade, tell her, that you don't believe in her, that you even suggested that she should never start training".

Jade turned to the curious little girl staring at her. "Is not what I meant Mona...". " So I'm I lying then? Logan asked as he took a step forward "No, you're not, all I said was that you should wait for a little longer and go continue your training, that's all!

" Is it the same thing? Logan smiled at her and then took a few steps toward her daughter "Isn't it Mona? She watched her nod. "Don't ever let people lie to you or use cunning ways to you, you're my heir, and you should reach up to the potential required, you have a lot to do in the future"

He said while reaching out and soothing her hair, he could see the pain in her daughter's eyes, the betrayal she was feeling that's what he wanted her to feel, he wanted to know she couldn't trust anybody except him, her father.

"Now, you should get some sleep Princess, I and My aunt Jade and have a lot of things to catch up on". Mona nodded and lay back on her bed and waited till she heard the door close.

All the emotion she felt was anger, she thought Jade understood but she turns out to be a wolf in sheep's clothing. She couldn't sleep or even bring herself to close her eyes, she just shared the thought that everybody underestimates her and she wanted to do something to change how they see her.

She was the heir and everybody must see her as one, without a second thought of what she was planning, she got out of bed and made her way to the door and hoped that the passway are all clear.

" Why do you look so sad," Logan asked as he poured out a drink for himself, Jade was standing behind him without saying a word. "I only made my daughter realize the truth, if you could say that to me, you should also say it to her face, you don't have to pretend or lie"

"I was lying...Just thought it was too early for her to master the training she wants, she had enough strength to do things she wants now" "Don't try to cover up your sins Jade". Logan smiled at her and then stared at her as he sip his drink.

" Sunny said that a wolf attacked them". "Might be the wolf the elders talked about". " Who could be such a fool to attack a loyalty and one of the strongest wolves of all". "It remains a mystery till we found out none of our kind would be that stupid unless the White wolves dare us...

" Do you think they'll be that stupid? "They could do whatever they want just to get to the pack and me and I had no other options than to deal with it"

"You have to speak to Walker since he fought it". " He's nowhere to be found so unlike him". "I'll go in search of him". " Very well Jade" He sipped his drink again and waited for her to leave.


"I can't believe you went there! "What was I supposed to do, I just wanted to be sure". " Sure? Seriously? "I can't just sit here and not do anything, I felt the need to know because why not, what if this...thing come for my daughter"

"Tell me, Rebecca, what did you find out? " This animal their talking about is the man beast, the people around that even confirm but they're so ignorant that they think it's just any animal that could this".

"Going there only endangers your life and nothing else, if this thing doesn't where you're living before, you just gave it a clear direction to your house also on how to find your daughter!!

Jasmine just stood there and watched her friend, she thought she was doing the right thing, protecting her daughter from this danger!

She slumped in the chair helplessly while Serena walked up to her and placed her arm around her. " Look, I just want you to be careful, I care about you and Eleanor and I won't like to see you guys get hurt"

"I'm just trying my best, Serena...that man wherever he is now, still has my daughter and I can't allow him to take her away also from me, I can't lose her too to him". " I know Jasmine and do you know what I think?

I think it is time for you to get your life back, this isn't the life I had imagined for both of us, I think it is time for you to stop being paranoid and take a few breaks for yourself, Eleanor is safe, and always be saved with you"

"I have stressed you and the baby so much, so sorry". " Just show us that you still hot this, I bet everyone is living their life except for you, you're still trapped in the past"

"I'll think about it". And that night that was what she did exactly, thinking about what Serena had said. She has spent the seven years of her life leaving in fear that her daughter was going to be taken away from her but nothing of such had happened.

She had sat beside her daughter all night, soothing her when it looks like she was having a bad dream. She was going to protect her with her last breath and at the same time have her life back, Eleanor was the only person she have now and she would do anything to keep her by her side always.

"Mum" she looked at her sleepy daughter who had opened her eyes just a crack just to stare at her. "Yes, baby", " Why are you not asleep" "Mum is here to watch you" she smiled and soothe her hair gently.

"But you need to sleep". "Don't worry, baby, mummy will sleep but first I need to be here with you"
