Chapter Twenty five

"Dad, told me you're going to be my new tutor, so what are you going to teach me," Mona asked as she followed Walker closely in the middle of the woods, she wondered where he was going.

She couldn't understand the reason her father had asked Walker to be her tutor maybe it was because he's one of the strongest werewolves but despite that, he's one of the meanest.

"Nothing" Walker answered and finally came to a stop, Mona almost bumped her head on his side and all she gets was a big scowl from him.

"What did you mean by nothing, you have to treat me to be kind of the best heir ever heard of". "I will but only you show me you're ready to learn"

"Of course, I'm ready to learn, can't you see that? Walker shook his head slightly. "No, I don't, you haven't shown me that you wish to be trained"

"What did that even mean? Walker watched her for some time before replying her back "proof to me, you have to prove to be that you wished to be trained...

"I heard what you planned on doing" Jade walked in on him as he sipped his drink "And what do I plan on doing? "Taking Mona on a hunt".

"You heard right then". "It's too dangerous for her outside there, a lot of dangerous wolves, not of our kind roam around, you can't allow her, not now"

"And why should I listen to you...Jade? "Because you have to". "No, I don't, I do my thing my way, and why should Mona be afraid of those weak wolves? "They're not weak Logan, those creations are dangerous".

"Then my daughter would do me a favor and have them killed..." Logan o sipped his wine. "Do you think she could handle it, the danger?

" Why? She's my heir or else you have a problem with that Jade" Logan's expression changed as he stared intensely at her. "I don't have a problem with that Logan" she shook her head in disapproval.

She knows that whatever she was going to say now would either kill her or put her into huge trouble with Jade but she has to say this "I'm just worried that her capabilities won't be the same as a pure breed".

She stood and expected the worst, whatever punishment Logan was going to give to her, she would gladly accept him. "You think my daughter won't have capabilities like full breed because...

The left remains unsaid, of course, Logan knows that this was about Jasmine but instead of reacting he just smiled at her. Jade stood in shock as he saw him smile " Well, we shall see then Jade" he reached forward and lifted her chin gently with his finger.

"Well said" he muttered, Jade watched his plain expression before he let go of her and pull back "I have been called by the assemblies, I don't want to be late to that"

Jade gave him a slight nod and made to follow him but he gave her a disapproved look. "Stay and keep your eyes here"

She watched him leave, Walker had always gone with him to the assemblies and now he wasn't here, she was supposed to go with him...It was clear Logan was angry with him.

Ramona stared angrily at Waller as she sweats profusely. "How else I'm I supposed to prove it! She yelled expecting him to answer but he just stood there and watched her.

"I have shown you my running skills, jumping and everything that I have learned, I have even shown you how fast I could run through the wood but you're just here saying nothing! "Because you have proved nothing to me"

"How's that? Walker shrugged and watched her. "Look you're not being serious here, tell me how I'm going to dive it to you that I'm ready to be trained". "Prove it"

"How I'm I going to prove it then, tell me! "Your lesson today has ended". "No, you can't be serious, you haven't taught me anything! Walker made to leave but Mona held onto his wrist, of course, he felt nothing despite watching her use all of her strength to stop him.

But suddenly he stopped giving her the impression that she was able to hold him from leaving while he listened for the tiniest noise he just heard and just when it felt like it would never come he heard it again.

It was coming behind them, not just coming something was coming for them.

"Hide! He pushed Mona aside despite her blabbering and questioning, Walker could only give her one final howl to hide before a wolf jumped from the opening and landed on Walker who had changed quickly to his form.

Ramona scrambled away at the bank of a tree and watched the aggressive fight "White wolf" she muttered.

"How's school today? Jasmine asked as she brushed her daughter's hair. "Fine mum, I watched Evan's soccer". "And did they win? "Sure, like always mum" she giggled and at the same time winced reaching out to touch her hair, her mother had brushed it hard this time.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to" Jasmine bent over and kissed the spot "And how are you coping staying over at the neighbor's place after school?

"Mum, it's fine, I get to go spend more time with Evan and also have him teach me my homework" she smiled but saw the sad expression on her mum's face.

"I'm glad you're enjoying every minute there but I'm so sorry that I couldn't be making it early to pick you back from school "It's fine mum, I understand"

"Why don't we watch some television downstairs, you could go to bed just in a few minutes". "Yes! Eleanor laughed happily as she followed her mum downstairs, Jasmine watched her daughter as she took a seat next to her.

She knows that she had her but lately but she just wanted to make out little time to spend with her daughter, just as she switched on the television the first channel that pops up what's the news.

She found herself being a little engrossed in it instead of changing it when she read the headline "Beasts attack".

"What's that mum? Eleanor pointed at the screen, at the lifeless body laying there! She felt thrilled as the flashback of that night played in her head.

"Just exactly like the body that night at the club" the beast attacked.
