Push Down The Stairs
I rang the button bell and I didn't have to wait long before the gate opened up and I walked into the compound....
It was quite a long walk from the gate to the actual building and when I finally entered inside the glass house I was kinda tired.
I needed water, but not as much as I needed to see Ji-a, I really need to see her, like right now!
So I climbed up the stairs, to the direction of her room...
Getting to her room I knocked on the door.
“ Cripple Monkey. "
I called out.. but got no reply.
Maybe she is sleeping, well let me just see her face.
So gently I opened the door, walking in with light steps...but she wasn't in the room.
I can't find her in the bed.
“ Cripple Monkey... Cripple Monkey... "
I called out walking to every corner of the room.
She wasn't here...Where could she have gone too?
Leaving her room I went in search of her, calling out for her as I walked.
“ Cripple Monkey!... Cripple Monkey!... Cripple Monkey... "
“ Lee Chun. "
I heard a female voice call from behind and I turned sharply with expectations in my face.
But I became down instantly when I saw it was Min-seo.
She ran to me and fell on my body in a hug.
“ I have missed you baby "
She said squeezing herself tightly onto me
I sighed, I don't have time for her and her nonsense now.
Forcefully disengaging from the hug I questioned her on Ji-a's whereabouts.
“ Where is Ji-a? Have you seen her? "
I asked and she struggled.
“ I don't know, why are you asking about that dirty, smelly girl. "
She said and I found myself getting really angry over her remarks about ji-a but I had to calm myself down.
“ I went to her room and she isn't there and I have been searching and calling out for her but I still haven't seen her, so please I need you to tell me what you know? "
I said holding my anger in.
“ I don't know... maybe she has decided she doesn't want to stay here anymore and has gone to her dirty smelly neighborhood. "
Her words really made me boil inside but I was already worried about Ji-a's whereabouts to lash out at Min-seo now.
So I left her, continuing my search for Ji-a...
“ Hey stop! "
I instructed when I saw one of the maids passing by.
“ Where is Ji-a? Have you seen her? "
I asked.
“ Yes, she fell down the stairs, she is in the hospital now. "
She said and that felt like a bomb to my heart.
“ What!!! "...
★
What! Ji-a is in the hospital? She fell down the stairs??
Those words from the female servant rip my heart apart, I wanted to question her more on the matter but I didn't. I couldn't.
I want to see Ji-a for myself. I hope she is alright, cause I don't know what I would do if she is not.
Entering into my Red Ferrari I sped off roughly to the direction of the hospital she was in....
5 minutes later.
Getting to the hospital I quickly ran to the receptionist giving her a description of Ji-a as I inquired from her the ward Ji-a is receiving treatment from.
After some seconds, seconds that felt like hours glancing through her register, she finally found the ward number.
“ That would be ward 54 sir.... "
I didn't wait for her to finish her sentence before I started running in search of that room number...
I didn't even have time to use the elevator, I just ran up the stairs even though using the elevator might be faster.
However at this point I wasn't really thinking, my heart was racing really fast it felt like I was about to have a heart attack...
Running and searching with my eyes I finally found the ward number.
Ward 54.
No time to knock, I was even impatient to use the door handle, as I barged into the room with the word Ji-a in my lips.
“ Ji-a! "
I called as I entered.
Turning my eyes to the left side of the room I saw her...Ji-a, she was lying eyes closed on the bed, a huge scary neck supported round her neck.
Oh God No!
The room was empty with no medical staff but the male servant Kyung-gu was sitting on a chair at the far corner of the room napping, however my loud entrance startled him up from his slumber.
“ Master Lee. "
He called out in surprise as he stood on his feet but I just took my eyes off him down to the bed where ji-a lay.
Walking slowly towards her.. I placed my right hand gently on her forehead - two of my fingers gently gracing her smooth facial skin.
Slightly up were my fingers where she had a slight cut on the head which was already dressed up with a bandage.
“ How did this happen? "
I asked in a sorrowful, slightly bitter tone.
” I...I met her lying unconscious on the stairs young master, s..so I quickly brought her to the hospital. "
Kyung-gu explained in a fearful tone.
Perhaps he was scared because of the tone of voice I used on him - thinking I was upset with him or blaming him for what happened to Ji-a.
But I wasn't, just that seeing Ji-a in this state was building so many uncontrollable emotions in me.
Angry, regret, sorrow and lots of other emotions I can't even comprehend right now.
” Thank you. " I grunted, then turned facing him.
“ Thank you for bringing her to the hospital. " I said this time forcing myself to sound much calmer but I know I still sounded slightly bittered.
“ You don't have to thank me, young master, Ji-a is my friend and I would do anything to help her. "
He said and I let out a weak sigh.
I turned to face Ji-a.
” What are the doctors saying? Is she in a critical condition? Will she be fine? " I asked, gently patting her forehead.
“ The doctors said she will be fine, no bones were broken thankfully. They said she is only unconscious because of the shock but would soon regain consciousness in a few hours time, likely in the morning. "
He said and I turned to face him, as his words lifted my spirit up slightly.
“ None of her bones are broken? What about her neck? " I said the last phrase in a pained tone.
cause seeing the huge neck support on Ji-a's neck was troubling my soul to death.
“ Her neck isn't broken, the doctor said he wore that on her so her neck would be straight while she sleeps.. "
He explained and I felt a little bit relaxed but I will be more relaxed when she opens her eyes.
That's when I will know for sure she is alright.
“ Did you come with a car? "
I asked.
” Yes, the driver drove me here but he didn't wait behind, he went back to the mansion as soon as he dropped us. "
He narrates.
“ Here. " I said stretching my car keys to him.
“ Go home and rest, I will stay with her. "
I said but he was still looking at my outstretched hand without taking the keys.
“ M.. Master Lee, you should be the one to go home and rest, I will stay here, I am not complaining. "
He said and I could see the confused expressions on his face.
Like why would I want to stress myself and stay here with her in the hospital.
“ It's alright, I insist on staying behind. You should go. "
I said warmly with my hand still stretched.
He slowly took the keys from my hand.
“ Good night Master Lee. "
He said bowing before leaving the room....
“ Ji-a. "
I called softly as soon as he left the room rubbing my hand gently on her left upper arm.
She still looked really beautiful even with the neck support and the bandage on her forehead.
But my heart is hurting even despite what the servant boy had said - when he said she isn't in any danger.
I wish to see her open her eyes...
I walked to the direction where Kyung-gu had been sitting and took the chair he had been sitting on.
Carrying it... I dropped it close to the bed ji-a lay and I sat down on it just watching Ji-a sleep.
I don't think I will be falling asleep...
______________
Next Day
Morning.
Ji-a's POV
I don't know but it felt like I have been sleeping longer than usual... slowly my eyelids blinked before opening up.
Gazing up at a strange ceiling.
This isn't the ceiling of my room_ sorry the ceiling of the room I am staying in Lee's house.
I tried to turn my neck but it proved impossible, it felt like something was holding my neck in a fixed position and instantly I began to panic, my whole body becoming restless...
But like ice on a hot pan I melted immediately and became calm when I heard a voice.
“ It's alright, I am here. "
It was Lee Chun's voice and I was able to see his face when he stood up from the chair he was sitting on.
“ Lee Chun... Where am I? "
I asked in a low, confused tone.
