Truth Be Told - Part 2

~Alexiana's POV~

I looked at the rogue in shock, my eyes wide like saucers and my mouth open ajar, not understanding why would the rogue be 'keeping tabs' on me? However, there is one thing I do understand, I recognize this rog – wait a minute! I looked at the rogue's facial features; he has the same shaggy light brown hair, same hazel eyes – no emotions, cold and evil. He has the same curved nose and small, thin lips with narrow shape face.

This is the same rogue from Carson's Beta Ceremony, three years ago; he is the same rogue that told us about the traitors among the pack – which one of them was Jessica. She was put in the cells after being caught poisoning my adoptive father, some time before he died. But Jessica killed herself, not wanting to reveal who the second traitor is. However, what I don't understand is, why would she do something like this? Why would she get out of doing what she did?

Was it to get me? If so, then she did a very poor job because with what she did, she pissed me off beyond to the point where I almost killed her, if it wasn't for Carson to pull me off from her.

Or did she do it for power? If it was for power, then why go after my adoptive dad and not the Alpha?

I have so many questions that I wish I had answers to, but what I do have is speculations.

However, there is one question that I could probably get an answer to, "Who is the second traitor?" I asked in a demanding tone.

"Now, now Alexiana, where is the fun in that? I'm not in a rush; I have all day. However, the traitor will reveal himself in a bit. In the meantime, I have a story I would like to share." Said the rogue, in an amused tone, smiling – a full on smile like everything is funny to him, but the amusement doesn't show in his eyes; his eyes only holds evil. Whatever he has planned, he will not show mercy or remorse.

However, I feel that the story the rogue is about share with us, will reveal something much deeper than what anybody could have expected. I guess finding out my real identity was not deep enough.

Furthermore, I didn't get the chance to explain to Brianna that the King and Queen are my biological parents. This whole situation got very out of hand.

I came out of my reverie by Kyle's loud growl, making everyone face him.

"STOP BULLSHITTING AROUND AND TELL US WHO THE FUCKING TRAITOR IS?" Bellowed Kyle, his canines and nails elongating and the whites in his eyes turns into pools of nothingness, like the abyss.

"Ah, the young Alpha, Kyle is it? So impatient, are we? Well, I could tell you this, I do not bullshit – far from it. However though, you all may want to sit down and get comfortable because the story I am about to tell you is a little long. This story is more in-depth than what Darlene has told you, Alexiana."

WHAT, HOW DOES HE KNOW ABOUT THE STORY? I asked myself internally. There wasn't any way for anybody to hear what was said from the other side of the office door. Unless... someone bugged the office, but the office door is always locked; whoever the traitor is, is very good at picking locks and...masking their scent. Oh my Goddess!

"How do you know about the story?" I asked, but before the rogue could respond, Brianna asked me what story the rogue and I are talking about.

"My adoptive mom told me that a little over two decades ago, there was a huge war between the rogues and my biological parent and their pack. A couple days before the war, my father received a death note from one of the rogues. To keep everyone safe, he moved the elders, children, pregnant women and every person that cannot fight – including the Queen, my mother, to the underground bunkers.

As for me – already a couple months old, my father sent me with two of his trustworthy warriors to this pack to keep me safe. However, the rogues decided to attack early – one day before the said date of the war." I briefly stopped talking to let this bit of information sink into Brianna's mind. However, the rogue leader decided to chime in.

"Yes, you are correct, Alexiana; however, do you know the real reason why the war started?" I shook my head no.

"Well, let me start from the beginning, but before I begin, let me introduce myself, my name is Eric Donovan, the leader of the rogues." Then my father spoke.

"That name sounds very famil - Wait! You're Theo Donovan's son?" Asked my father, in a bit of shock.

"You are absolutely correct, your majesty. And if you are wondering how, then like I said, let me start from the beginning." Eric paused for a minute, and then started his story.

"About thirty-two years ago, my father met a woman, falling in love with her at first sight. However, she was not his mate, but he did not care, he wanted her. He tried his best to get the woman's attention; he bought her flowers and the sorts, but the woman turned him down, saying that she was waiting and saving herself for her true mate. With that, he was heartbroken and sad. He turned that sadness into anger, piecing and hardening his broken heart back together.

He let his anger consume his entire being, but he was still in love with the woman. His love wasn't love, it was an obsession; he thought, if he can't have her, then nobody could – not even her true mate could have her.

For whole year, my father stalked the woman and sent her love notes anonymously. I know, cliché, right? Well, instead of accepting these love notes, the woman discarded them, looking scared because she knew my father was stalking her. She had no proof at all and if she did tell someone or the former King, my father could simply lie and say it wasn't him; it was her words against his.

Anyways, one day, while my father was stalking the woman, he ended up finding his true mate, my mother.

My father did not want a mate and kept pushing my mother away; all he wanted was the woman that he was obsessed to keep stalking her.

One day, my father found out that the woman he was obsessively stalking, found her true mate, Prince Stone.

Furthermore, there was additional news that spread relatively quickly – the news was that, in five months, the Prince and his mate would be married and mated.

With the news going around, my father grew enraged, increasing his obsession. Therefore, he started to formulate a plan to get back at the woman, who broke his heart.

The only way my father's plan was to succeed was to form an army of rogues and to gain my mother's trust, enough to mate with her and impregnate her to bare his heir."

~Eric Donovan's POV~

My father started to teach me about hate and violence as a child; he taught me how to fight, to hate my enemy with every single bone in my body. All my fathers' teachings were about hate.

When I got a bit older, he told me the story of how he fell in love with a woman that wasn't his true mate, but was rejected and left heartbroken. I never met my mate – at least not yet, but I felt my father's pain. He turned his pain and love into an obsession.

Then he met my mother, his real mate; he had sex and impregnated her.

It took my father several years to get his plan to 'perfection' – yet, look what happened to him, dead because of his obsession.

I have never questioned my father about anything because I thought that all my father's teachings were normal. I have never thought about the consequences that my father had to face towards the end of his madness.

"My father had to divide his plan in half in order to 'perfect' it; the first half of his plan was to form an army of rogues. A quarter of the rogue army was kidnapped, enslaved, and tortured; my father made the final call to deem them ready to join the 'cause' or not. Honestly, I never understood why my father would kidnap pack members to force them to join the rogue army, when he could just recruit them from around the area or state, but it's whatever.

Anyways, the second half of his plan was to gain my mother's trust to impregnate her. He thought if something were to happen to him, there wouldn't have been anybody to take his place and he didn't want that to happen, he needed an heir. So, my father swallowed his pride, faked cried and pleaded my mother's forgiveness to take him back; it took my mother four months to forgive my father and another month to mate with him.

After my parents fornicated, my mother fell blindly in love with my father – something I sometimes wish my mother wouldn't have done, but then again, I wouldn't be here, standing in front of all of you telling my story." I briefly paused just for a second, just to let all that information to sink into their brains. The looks on all of their faces is hilarious, but what's even more funny is one of them is going to die and I'm taking Alexiana with me. Luckily, Alpha Kyle rejected her because I don't have to do anything about breaking their bond. However, I need to cut her mate bond with her second chance mate, Alpha Jaxon.

All I have to do is fuck her and mark her, completely severing her bond to Alpha Jaxon; not to mention, Alexiana and the Royals would connect ties with me, indefinitely. Then, I'll make both, the King and Queen to step down, handing Alexiana and me the thrones.

"Even though my mother knew about the other woman, she believed every lie that my father told her. My mother was too naïve to realize what my fathers' real motives were and became pregnant.

Seven months later, my mother gave birth to me and my father was happy, happy that he gained a son, but he kept his true emotions hidden so my mother would not suspect a thing.

During that first year, everything was going well while my father thought my mother wasn't suspecting anything out of the ordinary. But he was wrong, my mother started to get very suspicious because my father would leave early in the morning and come back home very late at night. One evening, my mother stood up almost all night, waiting for my father to come back home to confront him about her suspicions.

When my father came home late that night, my mother confronted him and wanting answers, but my father did not like how my mother approached him, disrespecting him; however, he let it slide for that one evening. Or so he thought.

For twenty-two years, my parents had argued every night; my father physically abusing my mother. My father would hurt me if I tried to protect my mother.

A few days before the Great War, my father was out of the house for about a few hours, coming up with plans to attack the Royal pack with escape routes and exit strategies. His rogue army was bigger than an average size pack of two hundred members. Of course, it wasn't big enough to withstand the current King's warriors.

Around that time, my mother already planned to leave my father and take me with her; she didn't have to tell me about it because I already knew her plan. I loved my mother too much and I wasn't going to snitch her out. My mother waited an hour after my father left to escape, but she didn't make it that far. A rogue spied on her, figuring out that she's leaving my father and sent him a mind-link of my mother's escape. My father was furious, especially since she took me with her without my father's knowledge and chased after her.

When he finally caught up to my mother, he tackled her to the ground, growling, and clawing all over her body. My father didn't stop his attack; he kept going until one of his nails tore into her throat, and cutting her jugular vein, killing her instantly with no remorse or sadness. He didn't feel any type of emotions after killing my mother.

And honestly, even though I loved my mother, I didn't felt any type of emotions either." I said without a hint of sadness. I know I should have said something to my mother to try to stop her from leaving, but I didn't, I kept my mouth shut. Plus she knew what she was doing; look where it got her.

~Alexiana's POV~

When Eric was talking about how his father fell in love with this woman, stalking her and mentioning that the woman's true mate is the prince, I knew in that moment, that woman is the Queen, my mother.

I just could not believe that a man would go to great lengths to become obsessive and start a war over a woman that rejected him, knowing full well, the woman wasn't his true mate.

"I am assuming your father is dead, correct? If so, what is your reason for trespassing on Silver Moon Pack's territory?" I asked curiously.

"The answer to your first question is yes, you are indeed correct; my reason for trespassing on Silver Moon territory? Well Alexiana, I was going to finish what my father started, but I decided not to; I decided to go along with my plan instead. I plan on killing one life to spare for another and while I'm at it, I'll be taking you with me." Replied Eric, his lips wide from ear to ear, smiling evilly, and showing his white teeth while his eyes gleaming maliciously.

I started to feel my blood boil from the anger coursing through my body at the thought of this piece of shit wanting to kill one of my pack members. Yeah right, not on my fucking watch, but I need to know whom he's going to kill so I could save him or her.

"Whose life are you going to take?" I demanded with authority, my voice sounding calm and dangerous.

"That person is..."
