The Final Goodbyes
~Alexiana's POV~
~Three weeks later~
For the last few weeks, everything was very hectic; all of the warriors from both, Jaxon's and my pack - including my parent's guards that survived, are still on edge and the rest of my pack members are mourning for their dead loved ones and for their Alpha.
Some of the pack members have wanted to know what happened to Adam; is he dead or is he alive and in the pack's prison cell? Moreover, I am pretty sure some of you, readers would like to know too, right? Well, let me tell you exactly what happened.
~Flashback~
*Adam walked out through the wood behind my birth father, clapping very slowly and grinning maliciously.
I have a bad feeling something is going to happen and might cost another person's life.
"Well done Alexiana, you have figured out my plan in less time than I had expected. I am truly impressed. Please, do tell me what gave it away?" Adam asked curiously, wanting to know how I figured out his plan.
"The rogues." I answered. Adam sighed and asked me if I could be more specific; I said fine.
"Alexi, what plan is he talking about?" Asked Jax curiously. Now, all eyes are on me, waiting for my explanation. Here goes nothing.
"All of these dead rogues are not a skilled fighter nor were they trained to fight. Eric never planned to train them because he wanted to be the last man standing and kill everyone." I paused for a moment so my family could absorb this new information, then I continued.
"Furthermore, the same evening that Adam left to meet up with Eric, was when Adam found out that the rogues do not know how to fight. Yet, he did not say anything because he figured out that his nephew was following his father's footsteps.
However, Adam added an idea to his plan, which was to kill Eric, then continue with his plan: kill the person responsible for the death of his brother, which is my dad, the King.
He will not stop until he succeeds or he'll die trying."
"Good job Alexiana, you are-" Adam got cut off by Jaxon's loud Alpha growl.
"ENOUGH! YOU ARE NOT GOING TO KILL THE KING OR ANYBODY AND YOU ARE DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO ESCAPE FROM US!" Yelled Jaxon furiously.
"Awe, I am truly sorry, but I have to continue with my plan, the King must die. As far as escaping, I could probably try to escape and get away with it too, but we will see."
Then, everything happened so fast; I saw Adam taking out his dagger from his pocket and throwing it towards my dad. However, one of my dad's Royal guards was hit with the entire blade into the middle of the guard's spine, killing him instantly and saving my dad's life.
The rest of the guards quickly grabbed Adam, checking his pockets, socks and shoes just to make sure he didn't have anything else on him and held onto him tightly so he will not have any way to escape.
I quickly ran to my dad, hugged him tightly, and asked if I could kill him on the spot; he looked at me and smiled and that is all I needed for an approval.
I walked towards Adam emotionless; he doesn't have the right nor does he have the satisfaction to see any of my emotions. The only thing he gets to see is my stone cold eyes, which is the last thing he'll ever see before his last breath leaves his lungs.
Once I approached Adam, I asked him if he has a mate and he looked down and answered no. I told Adam to lift his head and to look at me; I looked at him in the eyes, "Good, I would have pitied the woman if she had to find out who you really were." Was the last thing I said to Adam before elongating my nails and decapitating Adam's head. *
~Present day~
After killing Adam, we all breathed in a sigh of relief, knowing that we won the war.
Since the death of Alpha Kyle, Carson has been acting Alpha until a proper suitor could be officially sworn in as Alpha.
Right now, I am inside the Alpha's office with Carson helping him set a date and time for the deceased pack member's and for the late Alpha Kyle's funeral.
"Hey Carson?" I said calling his name.
"Yes, Lexi?" He replied.
"I was thinking of having the funeral in four days at nine in the morning, then have lunch all together. What do you think?" I asked.
"Yes, that is fine with me." Carson answered with a bit of irritation and without looking at me while responding.
"Okay, good. Do you want me to let the pack know or are you going to do it?" Carson pinched the bridge of his nose, sighed and said, "No, I will tell them; give me a minute."
He sent an open mind-link for all the pack members to meet him out back in seven minutes and through the mind-link, we heard a chorus of "yes Alpha."
I got up from the chair and told Carson I'll meet him outside. Carson didn't say anything, he just nodded his head; shit, he didn't even look at me.
Something is wrong with him and I have a feeling what it is, but I am not going to say anything just; I will wait a day or two after the funeral to talk to Carson.
Furthermore, there is something very important I want to talk to Jaxon about.
~Four days later~
I woke up to the ringing and buzzing noise from my alarm at seven o'clock in the morning and Jaxon's arm wrapped around my waist.
I slowly unwrapped Jax's arm from my waist and put my pillow in my place, so I don't have to wake him up and made my way to my bathroom to take a quick shower.
Okay, I'm guessing you guys are probably wondering where was Jaxon for the last two and a half weeks, right?
Well you see, that day after killing Adam, Jaxon stayed with me for about several days. Then, he had to go back to his pack the next morning to make sure everything was running smoothly and to get as much paperwork done as possible before coming back to see me.
It took Jaxon a week and a half to finish about ninety-five percent of the stacked up paperwork - he did get help from his beta, which helped a lot and that's how Jaxon was able to get here two days before the funeral. Talk about perfect timing.
Anyways, after I got out of the shower, I towel dried my hair and body and put on my undergarments and my clothes that I had laid out the night before.
I checked the time on my phone and it is half past seven.
I blow dried and straightened my hair and put on some light make-up - which is waterproof eyeliner, mascara and light pink blush. I checked the time again and it is already eight o'clock.
I rushed out of the bathroom, quickly put on my shoes and tried to wake Jaxon up - key word, tried. Therefore, I did what most girls would have done in my position, I screamed. Yes, that definitely woke his ass up because Jaxon got out of bed super fast, pulling me behind him, looking for danger shirtless, in his boxers and with a hard on. Oh yeah, that is very intimidating.
I just started laughing.
"What was that for? I thought you were in danger." Awe, now I feel bad.
"Awe, I'm sorry Jax. I tried to wake you up so you could get ready for the funeral, but you just would not budge. I did what I had to do. I am sorry though, do you forgive me?" I asked with my sad puppy eyes.
"Hmmm, I don't know." He said looking up with half of his arm crossed and his pointer finger on chin.
"Well, I do know one thing that will help persuade you to forgive me." I said flirtatiously
"Oh really, what is that one thing?" Asked Jax with lust in his tone of voice and his arms wrapped around my waist, letting me know that he does not intend to let me go at any moment.
Okay, there is too much of sexual desires in this atmosphere and this is not the right time for it.
"Well, I guess you are going have to wait until tonight, especially since I have something very important to talk to you about and don't worry, it's nothing bad. Now go get ready or else, we will be late for the funeral."
Twenty-five minutes later, Jax was finished getting ready and we both went outside with everybody else.
~After the funeral, lunch~
The funeral was lovely and very well decorated.
Every person got a chance to say their goodbyes to their loved ones and to the late Alpha Kyle. I didn't say anything about Kyle because there is nothing to say. However, I did let go all of the grudge and hate towards Kyle; all I want is for him to rest in peace.
During lunch, everyone talked about their loved ones as if they were still there. They would tell stories, jokes, or their greatest achievements. Some cried and some laughed.
It was a nice lunch with everyone together.
After lunch, Jaxon and I helped with the clean up and during the clean up, that thought about talking to Carson popped into my head. So I mind-linked him and asked him if I could talk to him privately in his office; he said yes and that he'll be there in a minute and just to meet him there.
I didn't say anything back, cut off the mind-link and told Jax that I will be right back. I didn't let him say anything and quickly left to the Alpha's office to meet Carson.
That meeting with Carson did not go as I expected. He cursed me out and taking his anger, frustration out on me; all I was trying to do was help him. Help him mourn; let his tears stream down his cheeks until there isn't any tears left. Just let everything out.
Carson did not want to hear it and he was getting even more frustrated and angry by the minute. With all that anger and frustration, Carson was getting ready to force shift.
I was in shock after seeing Carson like that and I didn't know I was crying until I felt sparks coursing through my body; that was when I realized Jaxon was holding me.
I did not know what happened after because Jaxon picked me up bridal style and took us to our guest bedroom in the pack house.
Once we got inside the bedroom, Jaxon gently set me down on the bed, made sure I was all right and hugged me tightly - which calmed me down completely.
I stayed in his embrace for a few moments more before telling him "I'm ready to have sex to complete our mate bond and to live with you."
