The Final War
~Alexiana's POV~
'BRIANNA AND BRANDON, RUN!' They nodded their heads and quickly ran towards the pack house. Now, I need to focus on what is in front of me - protecting everybody that I care and love even if it kills me.
Everyone on my side has shifted into their wolves and ran towards their first target, while I stayed in my human form, running towards my first - killing him instantly.
I noticed the rogue didn't put up much of a fight nor was he skilled in fighting; he wasn't trained on how to fight. Before I got too deep into my thoughts, a black and brown colored wolf rammed into me, making me fly into a nearby tree hard. Ouch, that kind of hurts. Okay, I really need to focus, everybody lives are at stake and there is no time to be messing around or fucking things up. I mentally scolded myself while getting up off the ground and brushing the dirt off my clothes.
Honestly, what's the point of brushing the dirt off my clothes? They are going to be in shreds in a few seconds. Oh well!
After a few seconds, I shifted into my beautiful, pitch-black fur – colored wolf, Midnight.
'Are you ready, Midnight?' I asked
'Hell yes!' Replied Midnight with determination.
'Good, lets tear these rogues apart and kill Adam!' I said with conviction and Midnight lowly growled in agreement.
The rogue and I circled each other, assessing and finding each other's weaknesses; as I already found a few of his weaknesses, I pretend that my left hind leg is weak by not putting a lot of pressure.
As expected, the rogue ran towards me, thinking that he has an advantage on killing me. Ha, yeah right! However, he made a mistake - he tried to latch his dirty, yellow canines onto my neck, but I immediately saw that coming. I moved to the side and swipe my claws across his muzzle, distracting for a mere second while I use my head to knock the rogue into a nearby tree - his back hitting against the tree very hard. The rogue, lying on the ground, whimpering in pain whilst looking at me in the eyes, pleading for mercy...pleading to end his life.
I stopped in my tracks, realizing this rogue is like the first one - both are not skilled in fighting nor were they trained on how to fight.
Making sure nobody followed me, I went behind to the nearest tree to my left, shifting back to my human form and put on the clothes that was there available.
I walked out from behind the tree, looking around me; all of these rogues are inexperienced fighters. Eric never trained these rogues on how to fight because he knew the rogues wouldn't make it and if they did, he would just kill them without mercy.
Now since Eric . is . dead... the rogues are a DISTRACTION SO ADAM COULD SNEAK ATTACK AND KILL MY DAD AND POSSIBLY MY MOM!
'JAXON, THERE IS NO TIME TO EXPLAIN, GO FIND MY PARENTS AND PROTECT THEM! I WILL BE THERE AS SOON AS I CAN! HURRY!' I quickly yelled through our mind-link.
'On it.' Replied Jaxon.
I ran towards the middle of the field, jumping over dead rogues and some wolves from our pack; I had adrenaline running through my veins while rage was course through my body, igniting the flames higher to it's maximum peak. All I saw is red, and it was because of Adam, that traitor.
He didn't have to kill his nephew and follow his brother's footsteps, but he still did it anyways. But that means he knew what his brother was doing, he knew that his brother was stalking the Queen - well at that time, the princess.
If Adam knew what his brother was doing, why didn't he stop him?
The way I see it, Adam could have saved his brother from a terrible death, he could have stopped him from proceeding with his plans, his madness, obsession over my birth mother. Adam could have convinced his brother to stay with his real mate and experience true happiness, true love.
Unless Adam already knew what his brother was doing and condoned it. But that's not.it...Adam knew what his brother was doing, and knew it will get him killed; Adam wanted to be on top and in order to do that, he has to get rid of his brother without getting his hands dirty. However, his plans didn't go as planned because his brother fathered a son with his true mate.
While I was running towards the middle of the field, I was trying to find Adam; he was nowhere in sight, but I know he is close by, especially in the general area where my dad is at.
I wanted this war to end, so we could try to save as many lives as possible, but that'll only happen if Adam is dead. I want his blood splattered on the already-tainted green grass and his head decapitated from his neck, while his blood spurts out through his headless body.
My wolf showed me images of us killing Adam in different, unimaginable ways; it fueled our thirst for blood, watching the blood pool around him and watching it drain from his body.
Once I got to the middle of the field, I was about twenty-five feet away from my parents, their guards and my mate, Jaxon. When I got to them, I briefly hugged Jax, before pulling away a bit; however, before anybody could say anything, we all heard clapping coming from behind my dad.
It was Adam, clapping very slowly with a malicious grin plastered on his face.
I have a bad feeling something might happen and it's going to cost another person's life.
