CHAPTER 13


HAVEN'S POINT OF VIEW


In the end, Hadron wasn't able to do something when I convinced him to just let his cousin check on me. There's nothing wrong with that, anyway. In the first place, it's him who wanted this. He wanted me to be checked so he'll be able to make sure that I am just fine when in fact, I am really just doing fine.


The pain on my back is bearable already. Although, there's still some bluish part on my back, it didn't hurt anymore like before. The medicine that they gave me was effective enough to heal me. And I was glad that I am not experiencing any nightmares anymore. It was very frequent when I was still in my previous pack. Maybe I was...traumatized too much that even in my sleep, the bullies were still haunting me like I was a piece of prey.


And now that I am in a much more comfortable environment, the nightmares weren't that striking anymore unlike before. It would really keep me up all night. It was ome of the reasons of my sleepless nights in Farrington Pack.


My body has quite adjusted to the new environment. And even though I am still unfamiliar with my surroundings, I am still comfortable. Maybe it has something to do with the people around me too. They made me feel very welcomed despite of the fact that I am still a newcomer, a stranger inside their Pack. I can feel that. I can feel that they are welcoming me and I think that is enough for me to be comfortable around them. But still, I am not letting my guard down. I'll still be guarded no matter what.



"She's physically fine, couz'. I just don't know if she's fine emotionally," Doctor Kaizer then, turned to me. His face is now serious, so much different from what he had shown awhile ago. He was playful, then, but that vanished when he started checking up on me.


Hadron's hold on my hand slightly tightened.


"What do you mean by that, Kaizer?" Hadron asked his cousin seriously. He took a quick glance at me before looking at Doc. Kaizer again. "Do I have to go to Alexa's office? Do we have to undergo a session for that? When? Is it going to be—"


"Will you calm down, Hades? Seriously? There's no need for her to go that far. You just have to talk to her." Kaizer laughed.


I just bit my lower lip to stop myself from laughing too. Hadron can really be overreacting sometimes, yeah? It's funny. But I can't deny the fact that it made me happy. I am happy that he is concern with me.


"You could've told me earlier, asshole!" Hadron interjected angrily.


"But seriously though, Queen Miss? Are you feeling something...weird or anything?" Kaizer turned to me, asking. I immediately remembered my wolf. Although it isn't weird but I just wanna tell them that my wolf's not yet responding right now. And aside from that, I also wanted to tell him about another thing. He might can help with this one since he's a doctor.


"My wolf, she's currently unresponsive. It wasn't weird since I know that she needed a lot of rest. I exhaust her too much. Aside from that, my sense of smell weakened. I can still smell though, but it isn't that heightened. I feel like something's missing. Or maybe I am just really overacting."


Kaizer nodded and smiled at me. I felt Hadron on my side moved like he was feeling uneasy or something so I looked up to him. He was still standing on my side while I was seated on the edge of the bed so I have to look up to be able to see him.


And there I saw his jaw clenched like it was some kind of a warning to Kaizer.


I tugged him softly and I was glad that he immediately turned to me. His eyes are now looking at me softly. His face seems relaxed but I still can see a taint of authority on his face which...confused me. It wasn't just the authority, but he looks...angry too for some reason.


"What happened?" I asked, he was about to answer but was interrupted by Kaizer's fake cough.


"He was mad because I smiled at you. Seriously, Hades? Stop being an insecure ass. I know where my boundaries are and I know that your woman is yours. Only yours. No one will want to mess up with her once they know she was owned by an unstoppable devil." Kaizer spoke.



"Her wolf is probably not responding because she was too tired. And that affected your senses, Miss Queen. There's no need to worry about it. You just have to let her sleep for a long while. She'll reach you on her own." Kaizer added and I sighed in relief. Thanks Moon Goddes.






"Why are you so rude towards your cousin? You were being too sarcastic on him. I don't like that." I told him as we entered the foyer of the mansion. His arms are now tightly wrapped around my waist. I was pouting the whole time because he didn't let me watch the group of males awhile ago who were training. We passed by the field after going to the Pack Clinic and that's when I saw the males, topless and sweaty while they train. Of course, it wasn't just a normal training that involves just stretching. They were sparring for the love of Moon Goddess!


In my defense, I wasn't looking at their body. I was watching their moves as they sparred with each other. I saw some women also and they were extremely cool as they trained together with the men.



"I'm sorrry, baby. I wasn't...used to seeing another male specie looking at you. I mean, yeah... I feel insecure and at the same time...I feel so jealous. I know that you have doubts with me, still, and that's one of the things that makes me feel insecure. I'm worried that you'll...leave me."


My lips parted and I was even rooted to where am I standing. Why would he say all that while we're...walking?!


I was shock. I admit it. And maybe...guilty too because I have thought of leaving the place, his mansion a lot of times. I just decided recently to give him a chance, to give us a chance because...I can't bear to have another failed relationship again. I admit it. It was my truth.


And it shock me and at the same time, it made me feel warm to know that someone is afraid to lose me.


It was a new feeling...but I like it.



"What...? Baby? Is there something...wrong? Did I say something wrong? Baby? Tell me so I can—" Before he could even utter another words to say, I tiptoed and embraced his neck to pull him closer to me so I can kiss his lips fully.


I am not good with words. But I hope that I can be able to send the exact words that I wanna say to him by pressing my lips to his soft, thin and kissable one.



I felt so awkward after the kiss that we shared together. It even took me time to finally talk to him without feeling shy and embarassed after what we did.


And I'm glad that he didn't teased me about it which he always does.


He toured me around the mansion, indeed. There are a lot of rooms in each floors. He said that some pack members stayed there while some just built their own home outside and made it a village. Usually, the ones who decided to live outside were the one's who decided to build their family with their mates already. Well, it's not like they're not allowed in the mansion anymore. They just want to make their own home.


And it even made me feel excited that we're going to visit the village tomorrow too!


I am going to meet a lot of pups for sure!



"You seems so excited about finding out that we're going to visit the village tomorrow." He commented after awhile. He might've noticed that my wide smile didn't even falter eversince he told me that we're going to the village tomorrow.


I smiled even more as I spread my arms, feeling the fresh air hit my body. My hair long black waivy hair danced with it. I chuckled.


We're now in the rooftop of his mansion. Can you actually believe that? His mansion has a rooftop. It was such a beautiful place to spend your free time with or just sleep. Definitely. The relaxing breeze of fresh air and the quite ambiance will sent you to heaven. It was peaceful. Something that I would want to have forever.

"Baby,"


My eyes widened when I felt him caged me in his embrace from the back. I held the railings, still shock of his sudden hug.


"You're not talking to me, why is that? I just asked you a question..." He slowly trailed off, gently putting his chin at my right shoulder.


Weird flow of electricity ran through different parts of my body as I felt his warm and gentle embrace to me.


Damn. Just damn.


How could he make me feel those electricities like he's a huge charge of energy?


Having a mate is indeed...magical.
