Chapter 18
CHAPTER 18
HAVEN'S POINT OF VIEW
"And we're finally...here,"
My mouth almost fell when I saw the whole place. Well, it wasn't that scary as what I've thought it would be. It was a small wooden house, surrounded by grasses and trees. The house looks old. I even thought it was abandoned for a second because of the vines that crawled up on the roof of the house.
There were skulls that are hanging outside which made it more creepier than ever.
But the weird thing is...I am not feeling uncomfortable at all. Well, yes. It made me scared but that's only for a second. The longer that I stared at the house, the more that I feel so attached with the place. And I don't understand why.
"Are you feeling uncomfortable?" Racie asked. Her voice is filled with worry as she held my forearm.
I turned my head towards her and let out a small smile too assure her that I am alright. She bit her lower lip and smiled too.
"If you're feeling uncomfortable, Queen, just tell me so we can go home immediately." she stated and I nodded in return.
We started walking towards the small house and when we reached the small balcony, Racie knocked on the door three times. I almost jolted on my place when the door opened...only to find no one. No one actually opened the door yet, it opened magically. Well, I shouldn't really be surprised. This is a Witch's house and I'm supposed to expect the unexpected.
Racie sighed, shaking her head in the process. She suddenly looked problematic.
"There's always a trap, Queen, so if you're planning to go here alone, you must tell her your name first before you go inside. Or she'll bring you a lot of puzzles to solve 'till you get crazy," I gasped, not because of surprise, shock nor was I afraid, but I was more excited.
Racie saw my expression and she immediately smiled while shaking her head.
"Granny will probably like you. I do think you guys gooes with the same vibes." She chuckled. "Granny? I'm here. It's Racie. I'm with Queen Cerise Haven." Racie shouted.
"I know it, brat! Just get inside!"
My eyes widened again while Racie just laughed before she gently dragged me inside the house. The door automatically closed causing me to flinch with the impact again.
My heart thumped faster. Excitement dripped inside me as I started to look around the place.
I've expected wrong about the house being too small outside. It was a scam. The inside is quite big for a one person to live in. The living room isn't that messy as what I've expected it to be. It was clean and dim lighted.
Well, there are windows but they were all covered with thick black curtains. The only thing that was lighting the whole living room was the lamp.
"Wow. The place is so...huge. I didn't expect that since the house really looks so small outside." I blurted out.
Racie guided me to sit on the sofa and I did before she sat next to me too.
"This is a two storey house, Queen. She just used an illusion earlier to look like her house was abandoned. It's her one way to lure her enemies away or to lure them inside. Two choice." Racie said and I just nodded. Black witches are indeed...powerful.
And I'm sure enough thay they're one of those creatures that you probably don't want to mess up with.
"But why is it so dark? I mean, witches aren't supposed to be allergic with sunlight, right? Why is she covering her windows?"
"My grandmother practices black magic. And we, as the part of the black witche's bloodline, we love the darkness the way that it embraces us fully too, without judging us and our whole being. As much as she wanted to open her curtains, she can't because she does black magic everywhere in her house. It's too dangerous for any creatures to see her doing black magic. So yeah, that's why the place is too dark. Only the living room is well lighted."
"You're speaking too much, Racie." A woman's voice interrupted.
Just then, we heard a sound of the heels hitting the stairs as the woman descended from there.
My lips parted when my eyes landed at the white flawless legs of the woman. My eyes slowly raise and I gasped loudly when I saw the woman's face!
I can't believe that Racie called her granny when in fact, she doesn't even look like a Granny right now!
She's wearing a dress with a huge slit in the middle of her chest! I can see her cleavage and right there and then, I knew for sure that her breast isn't a big joke!
"Damn, Esmeralda, really? Why were you dressed up like that? And please quit from shifting into another woman's body. We both know that you certainly don't look like that." Racie scoffed beside me and I only showed a questioning look at her.
What does she mean by that?
I turned to Racie's grandmother again. She only smirked and shook her head.
"You're just jealous, Racie. Just spit it, granddaughter."
Uh-oh. Now, it looks so awkward to see a woman so elegant like Esmeralda, calling someone as her grandchild.
I blinked repeatedly when she turned to me. She smiled and slightly bowed her head.
"Welcome to my humble abode, Queen Cerise Haven. It's a pleasure to have you here. So tell me, what do I owe you to have such lovely visitors inside my house?"
"She wants to know everything, Esmeralda. And when I say everything. That's starts to the time where you discovered that she's King Hades' Queen." Racie responded immediately.
"Hmm..."
I squinted my eyes towards Esmeralda when she hummed softly before putting her cup of tea on the table. She's sitting in front of us. Her legs were crossed like those of rich women I saw in televisions. Yes. The mansion have television.
"I've always dreamed about this girl back then. She's in my dreams. She was running away from her pack." She looked at me before crossing her arms. "At first, I thought you were just no one so I shrugged it off. After all, I was already used to seeing different vision in my dreams and usually...they're all strangers to me and most of all, they're faceless."
"I was so ready to just let it all go. Until one night. I dreamed again. But not you. It was the Moon Goddess. She told me about you. Everything about you, Cerise Haven, the Queen of Rogues."
"What does the Moon Goddess told you, Granny?" It was Racie.
Esmeralda didn't answered, instead, she smirked at us and sighed. "You're going to find about it out...soon. Just not now. Now isn't the right time."
Racie huffed but Esmeralda stayed unbothered as she leaned on her seat.
"I wasn't planning on telling the King about your existence in Farrington Pack just yet because you had a mate then. And for sure, the Rogue King will go ballistic once he found out that you're mated to another man. So I decided to not tell them about you, that's what the Moon Goddess ordered me too when I had a vision of her. But when the Wildfang Shadows Pack or the Vandeleur Pack was attacked by the Farrington Pack, that's when everything became messsy. I was too focus on you that I wasn't able to foresee what's going to happen to the Pack that became the Black Witches a home to call." she shook her head and massaged her forehead like reminiscing what happened makes her head hurt too.
I bit my lower lip. I felt sad...and guilty. I was one of the reasons there were a lot of casualties in Vandeleur Pack then. Their oracle wasn't able to foresee it. Because of me.
I sighed.
"Oh, don't be guilty, Queen. I had a blessing from the Moon Goddess when I told King about you. I have to do that or you'll be harmed too once they make their revenge. I made him understand, of course. And I was glad that I made him to. I told him that he'll be able to find you in the middle of the forest." My forehead creased and she just smiled. "When you ran away from your Pack, you were already watched by our warriors. And when you reached the forest where you rested, it was owned by the Rogue Pack so the King was able to find you quickly."
'I knew that time that he found us already. I already knew that we have a second chance mate because I can smell him even with the distance.'
I heard my wolf spoke.
"W—what about Delta...Ryan?" I asked, quite unsure if she'll be able to answer me.
"Oh, that? They were after you too. It was an order from your asshole ex mate. To find you and bring you back to your previous pack and it was of course, to punish you. The Vandeleur Warriors saw them lurking around our territory. I already told King about their existence so the warriors immediately captured them before they could even make their moves."
