CHAPTER 19


HAVEN'S POINT OF VIEW



"You...weren't talking since we left my grandma's cabin, Queen."


"Just call me Haven, Racie, please." I smiled at her softly, assuring her that it really is just fine with me to be called by my name. I mean, why not though? It's my name and they don't have to call me Queen to show respect. It doesn't have to, really. I can see their respect on me even without calling me their Queen.


"King Hades will get mad once he heard me or anyone of us calls you casually. And if you don't know yet, Queen, he's an Alpha, a King, so it's normal for him to be extra possessive with you. You're his Queen, his mate so it's normal."


My forehead slightly creased in confusion. What does his posessiveness have to do with the way they call me, anyway?


"Racie, it doesn't matter, okay? You can call me by my name. Don't worry, if Hadron's going to be mad, I'll pinch his ears." Racie stared at me with wide eyes and I did too. We ended up laughing at the end.


"But seriously, you have been extremely silent when we left Esmeralda's cabin." She stated again, repeating her question awhile ago.


I sighed and puckered my lips slightly. Well, I was just thinking about something. I still can't believe that witches have the power to see the future, they can have visions. Hence, they are called an oracle because they advise the higher ups too.


"Grandma Esmeralda is gifted. The power to see the future, to see the signs, and meet the Moon Goddess in their dreams are truly rare for the witches, especially for the Black Witches to have." She smiled and shook her head. "Some creatures are still ignorant about our bloodline. They thought that we're all that bad just because we practice a black magic. No. Black magic might be more cruel than those White magic that are used by White witches but to tell you honestly, we only use our powers to those who wronged us. Black witches are gifted of their own powers that's why it's rare for us to use black magic too. We're still under the Moon Goddess' guidance. We serve her the same way we serve the Gods and Goddess of black witches."



I know that now. You really can't judge a book by it's cover. As for the black witches, it doesn't mean that they use black magic, they're already bad just like how other's think of them.


When we were kids, I remember how we were taught that black witches are bad and they're cruel. They have been viewed like that eversince and it's so sad. I can feel the sadness in me because I've been there too. I've been called a freak a lot of times so I can relate to it.


And I could never imagine how bad it was for the Black witches community to be treated like a trash. I know the feeling because I've been there too. For too long and I was all alone.


"That's why we're very thankful that King Hades took our community in. If you'll be able to visit his Kingdom soon, you're going to find a lot of Black witches in his Palace." She added making my jaw dropped.


Palace? Kingdom? What does she mean by that?


I tried to ask Racie about what she said but she only ended up laughing at me. I pouted as Heaven started to talk inside my head saying she likes the girl but she doesn't really like how Racie tease me.


I laughed and shook my head.


I do think that I should really be used to it right now because it seems like teasing is really part of this Pack's everyday lives.


"But seriously Queen, there are still a lot of things that you should ask King personally. He can answer you everything because he knows everything better than us. He's not a King for nothing."



When we arrived at the mansion, I wasn't expecting Hadron to be in front of the mansion's closed door. He's wearing a poker face. I saw how cold it was and he even looked angry as I saw how his jaw clenched even with the distance. But I saw how his face relaxed when he saw me but it was still cold though.


His beta, Zero is on his side and as usual, he was wearing the same old poker face again. Seriously speaking, I couldn't decide properly of who's the coldest among him and Hadron. I mean, they both seems to be alike in some ways.


Kaizer, Hadron's cousin on the other hand was smiling widely. He even waved at me when my eyes landed at him and I couldn't help but to smile back. Well, he just have the carefree and friendly aura so I can't help but to feel warm. I saw an older brother in him and I know that he treats me as his little sister too. He told me once when I was still staying in the Pack Hospital for days. And I've been feeling more comfortable with him around even more.



"Racie. You were not ordered to take the Queen outside of the mansion." Zero immediately stepped in before I could even greet them.


I stopped myself and immediately bit my lower lip. I slightly turned to Racie and I saw her bit her lower lip too as she bent her head down.


I can see the sweat slowly forming on her forehead and even how much she tried to hide it, I can see that she's nervous and quite scared because her hands were slightly shaking as she held them together in front.


I sighed as I slowly crawled my hands to her and held it. She looked at me and smiled despite the nervousness she was feeling.


'I'm not even scared! Let me handle the Beta, Haven!' Said my wolf inside my head but I just shook my head and shut her off. I wouldn't want her to get involved with this. She doesn't have the same long patience as mine.



"I—I'm sorry, K—King..." Racie stuttered and I just smiled at her to assure her that I am here. I looked up and smiled at Hadron who's face immediately softened when he saw my smile.


Kaizer saw it so he chuckled while coughing. "Whipped. Pussy whipped."


"It was my decision to not tell you about our plan for today. Racie has nothing to do with this. It was all my fault." I said with full of conviction in my voice.


"Queen..." Racie whispered but I just held her hand tighter without looking at her direction.


"Racie will have a punishment for she didn't abide the rules set by the King himself. That's our rule here and you're going to have two to three lash—"


My eyes widened as I pulled Racie to hide her at my back.


"Beta Zero! That's too much! Lashes are too much!" I turned to Hadron and glared at him. He blinked repeatedly as he slightly took one step backward like he was startled with my glare. "Lashes are too much for a punishment! Racie did nothing wrong. I said it was my choice and I should be the one who's to take the lashes instead!"


His eyes widened, panicked washed over his face as he tried to reach me but I refused to be held by him. "Baby, come on."



"No!" I exclaimed. I heard Kaizer laughing on the side while I continue to glare at their King.


"Baby..."


"No! I said no! Where should I take the lashes, huh?! Here? Should I take my clothes off?!"


"The fvck, baby, no! It was a joke! I told Zero to do that! No lashes, my love. No lashes. Now, come here, baby."
