I got married to Kenneth. We had a simple wedding, without any ceremony. On the day of our wedding, he and his friends stayed out drinking until midnight.
"You're back." I happily rushed to support him.
When he saw me, his eyes flickered, and the next second, he lowered his head and kissed me. I resisted a bit, but didn't avoid it. In fact, I even took the initiative to hold onto his neck and smiled sweetly.
"Did you transfer the money to my dad?"
He hesitated for a moment and pushed me away.
"Grace Evans, are you really that worthless?"
I stood there stunned, feeling a temporary pang in my heart. However, it only took a second for me to adjust my emotions.
"Well, I think I have some value, with thirty million US dollars. I couldn't earn that much money in my entire life."
"Alright then, you can embrace your thirty million US dollars and remain lonely for the rest of your life."
He lost interest, took off his tie, threw it on the ground, and went to the bathroom alone. I sighed and picked up the clothes he had taken off along the way, threw them into the washing machine, and then went back to my room to sleep.
